Inferno looked on as the Kirin left. what had it meant? "as far as you know, at least"? what did it mean? what could the Kirin know that he didn't? and if it did know something, why didn't it speak up? the thought remained in his mind as he finished eating, finally spreading his massive wings and kicking off hard, sending a massive Red Dragon into the air, Fieras quickly following, two elephant skeletons the only sign of their presence there, as the two massive Imperials headed for home, thoughts swirling in their mind. Inferno decided he'd have to look into this. for now though, there was nothing to do but get some rest. the sun had almost disappeared from the horizon by now, the sky turning a dark navy colour, the moon and stars flooding the mountain home with white light, as the Emperor landed at the entrance, and waved a clawed hand, dissipating the barrier. as Fieras walked in, he followed, his tail flicking upwards as he completely entered the cave, reactivating the barrier. the two walked down into their cavernous home, finally entering the Resting chamber; a massive golden room with red gems lining the walls, a warm glowing Red Dragon shaped crystal twice the size of Inferno, imbedded into the wall, made up of red and yellow gems to make up the body and underside of a dragon, whose head poked out of the wall in an S shape, it's mouth wide and a steady stream of warming magical energy resembling fire spilling from it's mouth like mist, dissipating as it neared the ground. Fieras lay down, curling up on the massive golden bed in the center of the cavernous chamber, Inferno laying down next to her, the two Dragons falling into a peaceful, silent, warm slumber, their worries forgotten for now...

As day turned into night, Orion left the small stream to venture further into the forest. He was cautious as he continued his steps. His ears were swiveling around his head, listening to every sound heard in the night covered wood. Suddenly, the unicorn stopped when he thought he heard the snap of a twig and listened intently for further sound. When there was nothing more, he continued with his trek, slower this time. I need to find a place to rest, thought the black stallion as he started to go slower as the minutes passed by. Finally, a yawn finally decided to come out of him. He halted again and observed his surroundings. Of course, there were many trees around, but there was what looked like a nice soft patch of grass. Orion wearily moved to that spot and settled himself down. Nice, just great, he thought as his body was on the grass. It felt like fleece to him, comfortable, and soft enough to go to sleep. He closed his eyes and decended into a slumber.

The errie silence on the Frozen spire was broken by a huge thud as Stimeak landed into the snow at the top of the mountain. He stretched and then folded up his wings, padding towards the cave without a word. His yellow eyes darting around, scanning the area.. Senseing nothing, he yawned and walked into the cave.

In the middle of a desert wasteland, a sea of Demons collected before a massive Hellgate, made of two curved stones that looked like the horns of a bull, pointing slightly outwards at the base and ending with the two razor sharp points nearly touching eachother, facing towards eachother, flames on their razor sharp tips. there was a deafening drone of demonic chants, the terrifyingly deep voices of hundreds of thousands of demons echoing through the valley as the two spikes ignited in black fire, the sky around it turning red and then black, thunder booming through the skies, lighting tearing through the air and striking the ground around the gate, as a massive wall of black energy formed between the two spikes, and a booming, ear splitting, heart stopping roar was heard as a wide fan crown of 9 horns emerged, a massive, flaming, Balrog-like skull at the base of them appearing moments later, as the monsterous form of the Demon Lord Beliar emerged...

Inferno jerked awake, eyes wide and heart beating wildly, as his eyes zoomed from one side of the chamber to the other, expecting to be surrounded by Demons. his breathing eased as he realised the place was clear, the warm red light of the Red Dragon Gem on the wall, along with the light bouncing off the gold covered walls, quickly calming him. he snarled. he put a clawed hand on his Alariel Gem and was met with a surprise. the gem was incredibly hot and would probably have burned any other creature to the point it was no more than a lump of ash afterwards. Inferno thought for a moment, and a voice could be heard in his mind. "What do you wish for me to do, Your Majessssssssty?" hissed the voice as a fiery horn hooded Cobra-like serpent emerged from the Cobra decoration holding the gem in place, swirling down and landing on Inferno's nose horn. "What do you mean, Slytherius?" growled the Red Emperor quietly so as not to awaken Fieras. "That wasssss not an ordinary dream, Your Majesssssty. That hasssss actually happened. It issssss happening asssss we ssssspeak. The Demon Lord Beliar hasssss entered thissssss world" hissed the Fire Serpent. Inferno fell silent for a long while. could what he had seen actually be happening? how could it be possible?! legends told of Beliar and his Demonic hordes, and of the destruction of other otherworldly realms at his fiery claws. after a while of hesitation, he growled "Can you inform the other Emperors? I don't want to scare the other Dragonflights with another meeting of Emperors so soon". the Serpentine form bowed and hissed "Of coursssse, you're majessssty. I shall inform them of that plan as soon as i reach them. Anything elssssssssse?". Inferno growled "Just inform me of any developments". the Serpent bowed lowly once more, and disappeared in a dim flash of orange light. Inferno sighed and looked at Fieras, his Empress, his friend, his mate. the only being he truly felt at peace with. he lay down, curling around the female, and attempting to go back to sleep, though knowing it was already dawn. a couple more hours rest couldn't hurt...

Neltharion arrived shortly after Stimeak, glancing around at the spire. He sighed, seeing nothing interesting, actually hoping there were more harpies to kill. Neltharion yawned, glancing at the bracelet, trotting off toward some large pieces of ice...

Garroth flew across the sky in the night. It was late and he needed to rest. Something caught his eye, it was a ledge that was very grassy and it looked as if it were to reach out to the moon which was in full. On that cliff was Tranquillus. Garroth caught sight of her and descended to the cliffedge and approached Tranquillus who turned to the sound of his footsteps. She smiled before turning around to look up at the moon. Garroth walked over and sat beside her...

Orion was woken up when he thought he heard the sound of rustling in the trees and bushes. He yawned and stood upright, scanning the area. It was early dawn. The sky was just starting to turn into a light shade of blue. Hm, morning came fast, he thought as he snorted and started to walk. His hooves were making a rythmic four beat step as they hit against the earth. He faintly wondered how far he was from the elven city and also wondered what Damarian was up to at this time.

Inferno awoke to find a thin stream of flames aimed at his clawed hand. he looked up to see Fieras breathing a steady stream of fire at him, before stopping. "Wake up, you lazy dragon! the sun's been up for hours!" she growled with a snicker. Inferno grinned and got up, before growling "Have there been any visitors?". Fieras growled "No, but looking at your Alariel gem, i'd say your about to get one". Inferno looked at one of the many large reflective gems in the room and noticed it was glowing brightly. a ring of what looked like white hot molten metal appeared, swirling around the gem, finally stretching and swirling infront of Inferno before taking on the form of the familiar elemental serpent. "Your majesssty, it hasss been decccided that we should up the paccce of the offensssive. rather than ssstretching it for several months, they intend to start the ssseries of sssurprise attacksss and end it within 5 monthsss, rather than the original one and a half yearsss planned". Inferno snarled "very well, thank you Slytherius". those fools have to think about the experience we'd be losing by cutting it short...but then, it would also mean less casualties, meaning less risk to our borders he thought as the Serpentine disappeared in a flash of flames, returning to his home within the gem...

Garroth awoke with the sun shining brightly down on him. He was still on the cliff but next to him was Tranquillus who was already waking up. Garroth knew that Gold Dragons loved the sunlight. She was up on the cliff standing on two legs and opening her wings out to catch the suns' rays. She seemed to glow even brighter in the sun as it shone off the edges of her wings. Garroth remembered the night how she and him had sat for hours on end looking out to the moon. It had been a wonderful moment for Garroth, an experience he would never forget between him and her. Rutus maybe keeping watch over him but that didn't mean he ruled Garroth's life. This was one of the few pleasures he had. This was what life meant to him, happiness and confidence would always be the two factors he relied on to get by in life. No matter the hardships. Tranquillus turned around and smiled at the sound of Garroth coming to sit next to her. "I must admit, that was indeed a very peaceful night. I would love your company." she hissed. "Perhaps then, Tranquillus we should meet here every night. I had a great time and I shall not forget our moment. For now let us enjoy the morning before we must go and do our duties. Come down to my training grounds sometime if you wish." Replied Garroth in the same calm tone as Tranquillus. She nodded and the two watched the sun. Garroth then reared up on two legs and let his wings open to catch the sun's rays...

Neltharion saw a few large pieces of ice a short distance from the cave, coming up to them, raising the bracelet to the ice. He thought for a moment, a stream of fire shooting out of the bracelet, melting the ice quickly. Neltharion snorted in amusement, trotting off to find more ice...

Stimeak was clinging to the spire of ice, his claws digging in. He was surveying the entire mountain from up here, searching for attackers. The sun was out and shineing brightly, but providing little warmth. After a few moments of staying there he leapt off and spread his wings. Glideing over the snowy terrain. Thoughts were lingering at the back of his mind... One gem... one that he had known from when he was young... and he wanted it... Right now it was at his deer stepmothers home, and it wouldn't take much effort to steal it....

as Inferno walked up to the entrance, his senses were suddenly overwhelmed by an explosion of pain, making his skull feel like it would explode, accompanied by what could be called a vision. it was of a familiar town near the border of the Red Dragons' realm. Alcyria...engulfed in flames...

when Inferno finally felt the pain had weakened enough for him to open his eyes, he opened them to see the sun was high in the sky, and he was on the ground, curled up, surrounded by numerous Dragons. Fieras was standing by him, along with several elderly dragons he didn't recognise, most of which had their clawed hands pressed against eachother tightly, the clawed hands engulfed in blue fire. the oldest looking, which actually had a mane of white hair growing out between his scales, looked down at him and growled "Welcome back, Your Majesty". Inferno struggled to his feet, and growled "Wha...what happened?". "It appears you were attacked mentally by an extremely powerful being. what did you see?" responded the elderly Red Dragon. "Alcyria.......burning to the ground...with demonic skulls flying all around it...the elven inhabitants screaming in pain and fear..." growled Inferno, thinking of his friend Damarian worriedly. "I need to get there" he growled, as he spread his wings. "Stay, your majesty. i'll have 4 of your Imperial Guard watch over the town immediately". Inferno tried to beat his wings, but even trying to move them was painful. with a sigh, he nodded, but was far from happy with the substitute the Dragon had proposed. the Elderly Red Dragon's eyes glowed blue, and 4 roars were heard in the distance, and the shapes of 4 massive Red Dragons could be seen leaping from the nearby jungle, and flying towards the Elven city...

Orion halted once again when he thought he heard a rustle in the bushes. He glared in the direction he heard it from and snorted. He wasn't going to take any chances in here. He remembered the last time the rangers of the forest tried to catch him. Back then, Inferno saved him. "Heh, it's been a long time since I last saw that red dragon," he murmured and continued on his way when nothing more happened in the bushes.

Suddenly, a net came over the black unicorn's form. Orion's dark red eyes went wide at the sight of the cursed thing and started to rear in panic. Next, ropes were thrown over his head. One managed to catch him on his front right leg. He tried to buck, but another went around the back, then they started to pull. He went down with a bang to the ground and neighed desperatly. The rangers appeared from the bushes, smirking, laughing at the fallen mythical equine. "Look at this beast," one of the two leggeds said with a sneer. "He's a big one..."

the 4 immense Dragons flew over Alcyria with a chorus of roars, before beating their wings in the opposite direction to their flying, and landing on the ground with a series of booms, each of the massive Dragosn larger than most buildings within the significantly large Elven capital. they could see a single Elf in what looked like the High Elven Royal Guards' uniforms, walking away from the town...

two demonic shrieks were heard in the Elven town as it began to rain meteors over the city. in the distance, an ocean of Demons could be seen marching and flying towards the city. the 4 Imperial Guards prepared themselves for the worst...

Stimeaks gems suddenly burned him. He snarled with pain, but it wasnt hot, it was frezzing cold, colder than anything he had ever felt before. He closed a fist around the gem, closing his eyes and thinking.

A shout peirced the air of the elven city as nother soilder fell. A demon warior smashed his way through the elven sheilds and instantly the two lines clashed into each other. Elven wood and metal slashing and smashing against the demons armor and weapons. A demon soilder raised an obsideon axe and slashed down at his elven foe, it was swiftly blocked by a wooden sheild. They both shouted at each other and charged back into battle, hammering their weapons at eachother with immense force. The demon was clad in pitch black armor, a long thin spikey helmet and a spiked tail. The elf in silver and no helmet. Firey surrounded the demons shoulders and elbows. The elf swung at his head but the demon ducked with unmatched agility lashing out with a claws foot and tripping the elf. The elf landed into a crouch and sprung up shouting some words into the air. Instantly a vine sprang out of nowhere about to ensanre the demon. The demon was too quick, it span around and cleaved the vine in half with his axe, in one smooth movement, he raised his hand to point at the elf, muttering in a harsh echoing voice "Infeirious!" Suddenly, the elf burst into flames and was blasted into the air, soaring over the battle screaming.....

Garroth wondered when Rutus would need him. So far Rutus hadn't requested his assistance yet and he starting to wonder if he would be needed at all. But he knew he had to be patient with the older dragon. Rutus was indeed wise, Garroth was afraid that if he might mess up, Rutus would plant that thing inside him again, he didn't want acid eating his insides. He looked into the horizon from the training grounds. He wondered what was happening elsewhere in the other dragon nations. He pondered the matter for the moment and then put it to rest. He let his mind relax before turning his attention to the huge stone pillars as he let the magic channel through him as he got ready to unleash something powerful...

Orion didn't know what to do at that moment. He was frightened and angered that he had been captured. Memories of his capture when he was a foal started to play in his mind. He remembered as the cursed humans tried to break him in, but to no avail. Their methods would only make him fill with hatred and bitterness for them. As of right now, he was tied up, defenseless. What were they going to do with him? He snorted and tried to get up, but they only pulled on the ropes and he came back down.

"Try all you want, beast, but you're not escaping from us," one of the men hissed and raked his eyes over the unicorn's body, then at last came to the horn that was on his forehead. "He's got a nice horn on him. What should we do with him? Kill him off now or breed him and get his offspring?" As he was saying this, Orion's eyes widened even more. No, he was going through this all over again...

One of the men, who was the one holding the rope that held the back leg answered. "There is a possibility we can use him for breeding purposes, but look at that size. This strong beast would be great in battle." He pointed out to his sharp cloven hooves and horn as he said this. "I'm sure we can make some money out of him."

The unicorn didn't like any of these ideas, but he couldn't protest to the men. They didn't understand the language of the unicorns. To show his disgust for their ideas, he pinned his ears back and bared his teeth warningly. The man who was the head only cackled and rolled his eyes at the animal's pathetic attempts. "Alright, we will sell this animal," he finally said, agreeing with the other guy.

So, it was finally decided. He was to be sold, but sold to who? Orion had to ponder about this...

Stimeak was calmly plotting how he should go about stealing his mothers gems when something cought his eye. He raised his head surveying the windy mountain. His lamp like yellow eyes glowing through the mist. Then he saw it again. Focusing on the spot, a green cloaked human figure came into veiw, trudgeing through the snow being battered by the small blizzard. Stimeak narrowed his eyes, instantly causeing the fog to worsen to try and confuse the human. At seeing the fog the human stopped and straightened up, his face hidden by the hood. Stimeak growled faintly, it was possible the human was signaling allies that he had found him. Then the figure raised its arm, the cloak slideing back to reveal his palm. A blue rune flashed across the open palm momentarily. Stimeaks eyes widened. He smirked and leapt off the ledge, moveing the fog away from the human below and circleing towards him. He landed with a thud right next to the man, lowering his head to eye level. The human didn't even flinch, just smiled and drew back the hood revealing a handsome face and shortish blonde hair. He could have been an elf if it wasn't for the non pointy ears and the rangers bow. He said in a cheery light hearted voice "Been a long time Stimeak" The massive dragon dwarfed the human. Stimeak growled skeptically "Indeed it has Raven..." The man chuckled and leaned over, puting a hand on stimeaks neck for support he replied "Raven.. Havn't heard that name in a long time" Stimeak snorted and hissed "Alright then, so what are you known as among the bloodthirsty elves?" Raven chuckled again and said "Looks like old hatreds don't change after all, well, the "evil baby killing elves" know me as Royken, and among the rangers, just plain Roy" This time Stimeak was the one to laugh, he growled with a grin "Good to see you again" Raven took his hand off stimeaks neck and walked foreward, rubbing his hands together and he siad "You too old freind, now could you get rid of this damned wind its freezing me to death" Stimeak grunted and waved a glowing hand "Sorry about that..." Instantly the wind died down revealing a shineing sun, not much heat, but no bitter wind either. Raven stretched and said "Ah, much better" Stimeak, snorted and growled "So are you going to tell me why you suddenlly appeared here after me thinking you were dead for almost 125 years?" Raven laughed slightly and said "You make it sound alot longer than it was... Lets go up to your cave, we can talk there" Stimeak unfolded his wings hissing "as you wish..." He beat down and took flight hovering above the human. Suddenly, Raven jumped upwards and seemed to implode, his cloak dragging into him as if it was being sucked in. The cloaks material rapidly changed and a coil of green energy spiraled around the odd shape which, just as quickly as it started, spread out into the shape of a bird, the cloak finally changed into feathers and in the place of Raven, know hovered a large pure black falcon, much bigger than any normal falcon. The bird screeched and followed Stimeak into the air. Stimeak smirked and with a beat of wings, blasted off towards the cave, landing with a thud on the ledge outside it. The bird followed and swooped down, talons outstretched. The talons changed into legs, the feathers into a cloak and the human figure of Raven reformed landing onto the ground and stumbleing foreward, his hood falling back. He strightened up again and said clearly as if nothing odd had happened "Well, Alcyria was attacked, demons." Stimeak nodded understandingly and hissed "Afriad they will see right through your disguise and try recruit you like the rest of your race?" Raven nodded and said grimly "I don't care if every shape shifter alive joined those stinking demons, I'm staying as far away form them as I can." Stimeak nodded grimly, slightly shocked at the idea of Alcyria being destroyed. Sure it was an elf city, he didn't like elves, but it was a powerful city, very powerful... If they were destroyed that easily, the demons were alot more powerful than he thought,.. He added "And what does that have to do with your sudden appearance?" Raven shruged and said, folding his arms "Well seeing as half my freinds were or are being slaughtered right now, I felt it was about time to restore old connections."

Neltharion glanced at Stimeak, finding him talking to a human. He gave his mentor a questioning look, unable to see why he would waste his time with a human. Neltharion shrugged, turning back to his ice, once again raising the bracelet. Another stream of fire spewed from the tricket, the black dragon sighing, even the ice's destruction not amusing him now. Neltharion turned away, leaping into the air, gliding around the area aimlessly, watching Stimeak and the human blankly.

Farthatos' scaley form entered his own cave. He looked around and sighed before lurking to the back of his domain. He was going over the day with Setrinus, his maybe intended mate. There was no doubt in his mind that he liked her. She was a nice dragon with a calm, peaceful personality, but he needed to spend a little more time with her before finally making that decision, and what about Setrinus? What did she think of him? Deep inside, he was hoping that she was begining to feel the same for him. If not, well...he would just give up and search for another to be with.
