rock crumbled and tunnels underground collapsed as weight above pressed down on it. the scraping of rock could be heard, but there was so much of it the position couldn't be determined. large shards of the hive wall began to fall in on it. above, in the shell of a city that was New York, even the crow of a raven could be heard several blocks away...
"Gentlemen, it has come to my knowledge that there was a plan to drop a high explosive bomb on New York to eliminate the Xenomorphs. I suggest another option" started Professor Tatopoulos. "Mr. Tatopoulos, this is a matter best left to the military" started the General. "General, the Military's failure is the reason those creatures are still there. I suggest a new approach. Zilla. the monster you were chasing several months ago now sees New York as it's home. it's actively hunting these creatures because of their invasion. give the Zilla time, and NYC will be free of everything potentially troublesome in no time. as for him, he lives in a tunnel on the sea bed not far from New York. only comes on land if there's something to lure him out, in this case Xenomorphs". "Mr. Tatopoulos, your pet itself is a threat to national security. how can we trust THAT to do what a bomb supposedly can't?". "General, first of all, i've seen these Xenomorphs before. they make hives deep below the surface, sometimes reaching up to half a kilometer below the surface. a bomb wouldn't faze them. The Zilla however, is a burrowing creature itself. in fact, it may even be more adept than they are. leaving it to the Zilla, you'd be saving yourself the expense of rebuilding New York from scratch as well as the price of the firepower it would take to take them out yourself". after a while of hesitation, the general nodded, and said "You have a week. after that, we move in". Nick nodded and thanked the General, before leaving the room, wondering if Bane was fighting them now......

"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
