The Hornet finished his full body scan and the humming noise died away. It revealed that many of his hard points had been damaged, however his power supply and core were undamaged, his wrist laser was still working and his communication relay seemed to be functioning. The dual blades clanked and slid back up into their latches and he said "Fine then.. I won't, cause personally I dont think you have it in you." He made an intresting note to himself, the strange tar gave differnt thermal readings too Jake himself, meaning they were seperate entites, possible some new high tech weapon or battlesuit.

Jake's eyes narrowed. "I have it in me all right." he threatened. "I could kill you in a heart beat." Because the noises stopped, Jake took a step forward, but he had made the weekness a bit obvious. He'd have to play out a fight carefully, if it erupted.

Scaeltail stood up, but didn't attack. He backed off, but not out of fear. He stopped and watched Jake and Hornet warily, waiting for what they would do.

The teenager's posture was less than battle owrthy, exahustion showing from his inguries and the recent sound. His arms were hanging limply, the claws dripping some of the dark material. He hadn't been in a fight this long yet, and it was takeing it's toll. But if he passed out, god knows what would become of him.

The Hornet glanced at Scale tail before turning to Jake and then said "Tell you what, I set up an ecape route for us, you keep the mutant at bay, then we both get out of here and go our seperate ways." Neeblestrix couldn't keep him couped up here forever, he would escape. In the mean time, Neeblestrix was in the control room watching through the security cameras and desperately trying to contact Scale tail, sadly his communicater had been broken in the fight and the lizard man wasn't aware of what Neeblestrix had done.

Scaletail narrowed his eyes. "As long as that slimeball is gone, I'm happy," he growled, still watching Jake.

Jake nearly threw a fit. "Wh-what?" he said. His jaw dropping. "You mean to say that after impaleing me you expect me to help you?"

Without turning away, The hornet raised an arm, pointing his laser ad scale tail. A red dot appeared on the mutants forehead and he said cooly "I was talking to Jake... And its a mutual deal, I help you, you help me we both escape"

Scaletail stood up straight, his hands raised. "Then get out of here," he hissed, "I don't care, nor can I stop you."

"*****." Jake murmered. "Alright, alright, you help me, I help you." Jake really didn't want to work with the giant deth machine that was trying to kill him a few seconds ago but he had to ge out.

The hornet nodded and quickly sprang across the room, he ran riht up to the control panel, tapping in keys quicky. The intercom spluttered into life and Neeblestrixs voice sounded "Scaletail! G-" Before it could say anymore, The hornet had shot it with his laser, blowing the device to peices He ordered "Jake, see the black hatch on the floor? rip it open. Do the same to the roof one." He continued hammering in keys setting up the cannon.

Scaletail looked up at where the intercom used to be and back at Hornet. He knew he wouldn't be able to fight Hornet as easily as Jake, but he couldn't just stand there either.

Jake leaped up, tenticles shooting at both of the hatches, with massive strength he pried them off, lobbing them across the room. "Anything else?" he asked upon landing.

The Hornet shouted "Right outside the door to your left, the armory, right inside there should be a black micro chip, grab it and give it to me" He continued tapping in keys, he couldnt get the chip himself for fear that neeblestrix had some sort of EMP waiting for him out there, he needed that chip if his plan was to work. The sound of a turbine filled the air as the cannon charged up, prepareing to fire.

"I have a feeling this is less for me, and more for you." Jake murmered, the words drowned out by the sound. He followed the instructions the Hornet told him, getting into the armourey and grabbing the chip. He brought it back up. "You wanted a black micro chip?"

The hornet tapped in the last keys and spun around, grabing the chip bewteen two fingers and then slideing it into a hole that had opened up just behind his neck. The hole closed and the effect was instant. On the Hornets display, a single message came up in red "Installing new module.." He suddenly grabed Jake by the shoulders and flung him towards the the hole in the ground where the hatch was. He jumped after him. The roar of wind was deafening now.. The door burst open and Neeblestrix was standing there with sting on his shoulder. He was holding a large, dangerous looking weapon. Just in time, the roar stoped and the cannon fired. With a massive thud, both the hornet and Jake were sent cannoing up the passage way and out into the air a few seconds later, having been launched just in time to avoid a blue arc of lightning from Neeblestrixs gun... They soared into the sky untill the feilds below were just patches of green. the Hornet, still holding onto Jakes arms, said "And We are outta there... Sadly you wont fall to your doom I have prepared for this..."

"How is that sad?" JAke growled, one eye narrowed. "I am thousands of feet in the air, being held by a robot with big guns, that was trying to kill me earlier."

The hornet seemed to smirk and he taunted "I have alot more than guns..." Suddenly, his back spilt into two, the two shell like coverings spreading out untill they were aiming just above his arms. Two insect like metal wings spread out buzzing rapidly. Instantly, they leveled out, hovering in the sky. He said plainly "I wasn't named the Hornet for nothing you know..."

"Holy-" Jake looked back up at the robot. "You should have gotten a spot on Transformers."

The Hornet suddenly swopped, diving towards the ground at an angle, trying to put as much distance bewteen himself and the base. He commented "As far as I know the filim was an inspiration to Neeblestrix. He claims that some of the robots designs were actally taken from drawings he had done as a kid..." Meanwhile, back at the base, D.r Neebelstrix was paceing up and down the corridor chorusing "F**K F**K F**K F**K F**K F**K F**K"
