Ghosts were upturned as they passed over strategic ambush points, as Tiger Bugs erupted from the ground, their size and strength flipping the flimsy Covenant vehicles, before the pilots were set upon by the vicious Arachnids. Banshees were simply taken out by Hoppers and a new foe: Ripplers. These purple Hoppers had spines along their backs and a stinger in their abdomen that could fire stream of explosive spines, taking out Banshees and even Ghosts with ease.

The Tankers turned on the Scarabs, disappearing underground, only to come up under the Scarabs and yet again upturn them and kill the crew.

The Arachnid swarm was never-ending., They had already taken over a sizable chunk of the planet. A voice hissed in Kepe's ear: "I warned you..."

Two more Skaven scrambled out of the hole, looking around frantically and searching for the cause of the alarm call. They waved their rifles back and forth.

The shape pounced out from the bushes that it had been hiding in. It landed upon a stray human that had been unable to locate it correctly. The predalien's jaws poened and it's inner jaws shot out, puncturing it's victim's leg. The human wouldn't be able to walk and this would make everything too easy for the predalien. THe hybrid xneomorph turned and began to head back in the direction of it'sh ive, it's queen being the largest predqueen on the planet.

one of the mines exploded, sending shrapnel all over the place. Both rat like soilders fell to the ground, screaming in pain, their legs shredded by the white hot shards.... As creul as it was, Martain didn't cringe in the slightest. Pain wasn't seen as a huge factor in marican culture. Torture never did much other than irritate them. However, mental pain was a completely different matter altogether, being used often. It was just another odd trait to the Maricans similar to their racial habits. While they often treated other species poorly, they saw all other Marican humans as completely equal, be them tanned, un tanned, man or woman.

As the battle went on...The Field General stood up, having an idea.

"Hey you guards!...get over here!.." The General yelled in a calm manner, trying to get their attention. He needed to speak with them...

One of the Skaven, screeching incoherently, fired his weapon wildly, the green bullets flying past Martain, a single one actually slicing into his arm. No other Skaven were around, and even they had been, it's unlikely they would've helped the fallen soldiers, as the egocentric aliens cared only about themselves.

OOC: That was an extremely lucky shot considering martain is over a mile away from them...

The marican soilder glanced down at his flickering arm, he reached down and plucked the shard out of the armour, the scratch made by it quickly fixing itself, first of all changeing back to its desert camoflauge colour and the stealthing fully. He looked back to the Skavens, zooming in on them, he crouched down, waiting to see if help would arrive for them....

OOC: Exactly my point.

The Skaven, still struggling, collapsed, unable to continue. They died, and no other Skaven appeared.

The predalien lifted the human by the throat and began to carry it in the direction of it's hive. As it walked through the forest, it saw a large rattle snake resing on a rock. It could have made a choice to kill the snake, Just one simple head bite and the snake would be dead. But that was quite unneccesary.

The Field General continued to try and get the guards attention...he waved his arms and shouted. He knew that if he could send the coordinates of the location to the blockaide...help would arrive.

In other cases..The Annihilator was finished. Its upgrades and repairs were done soon it would be tested once more. Grevious and his men still had to be struck back at some point but when...they did not want to wait too long considering that it may have been pointless if they just built up all of their ships.

Revan eyed the large holographic map in front of him, looking throughout his empire as he focused on the two planets of Trandosha and Genosis...they would have to fall at some point.

The giant triangular flagship towered over all of the ships in the area, even the other Executor Class Star Dreadnoughts that were used as Guardians for their capital...

The lights turned on in a dark hanger.. illuminateing it... There was a large intake of breath from the crowd present, the tension was palpable... A man wearing a black trench coat stood on the cat walk arms out stretched, grinning broadly... He said loudly "I give you... Our compeititors..." The crowd burst into applause, more lights turning on around two glistening Drones... Owls... Thier usual blackish armour completely changed. One was Red with burning flame like vinyl layers across its legs and wings, firey patterns stretching past its eyes. The other was dark blue, Green tribal patterns in place of the Red ones burning ones. It had decorative quills sticking out along the drones spine, tiped green. The Red one had a burning fin... The man said again "In what looks to be our most exciteing and fast paced face up yet... We have the Owl class Phoenix fire bird... Those who already haven't, please place your bets... No more shall be taken once the doors are opened...." Two glass cages closed around both drones, an iron wall seperateing them. A timer lowered from the roof, counting down to when the bay doors were to be opened. Suddenly the two drones burst into life, twitching and glanceing around. The Blue one made a low humming, looking into the crowd, who just applauded further, the machines talons scratching the metal floor...

The Major standing guard turned to the Field General who trying to get his attention. Still, the Major did not see any alarm, he had an Energy Sword sheathed out and ready if need be. The human could not touch him. He quickly barked out.
"What do you want human? Make it snappy or be silent!" The veteran snapped. Also in the detention station were Minor Elites at the front doors on guard along with a number of Stealth Elites on patrol in camouflage...

Though the Arachnids were still coming at them, they were outnumbered by the billion compared to the Sangheili, no matter how vicious. Most of the Arachnids could not attack at long range and those that could were easily dispatched by the Elites on the ground. They were quickly learning of the weakpoints in the enemy. Mainly the flank, legs and heads were the bits which the Arachnids could not defend themselves. The plasma rifles easily immobilizing them and those who were veterans with Energy Swords usually waited for the Arachnids to charge and quickly jumped up and made quick stabs on the head. Those that were thrown off cut the legs which easily sliced off, making the Arachnids unable to move. The same went with the ones that were ranged attackers. They were easily shot in the heads by Elite Snipers. Their beam rifles powerful enough, that they ripped through the skulls and through the jaws. The Elites with Covenant Carbines didn't need much to take out Arachnids, 5 or more shots to a head was necessary though but enough to bring them down as the rounds always hit the forehead and then would go in deeper. There were those equipped with Plasma Pistols, though smaller shots were quite innaffective, the charged up shots were enough to potentially blind the Arachnids as their eyes were extremely sensitive. This made them unable to see where they were going and some collided with each other, making them fight one another until either was killed or both laid dead, either both dieing in the struggle or being finished off by the Elite forces shortly after. Those who burrowed up from the ground, though difficult at first the Elites and Hunters were finding ways around this. The Arachnids that came out, there was normally a small rumbling in the ground and bits of soil would start to kick up, meaning they were about to emerge. An Elite or Hunter could move out of the way and then be ready and waiting for the Arachnid to come up before scoring Plasma rounds into its guts and head, ending its life very swiftly. Those who were being dragged beneath the ground were beginning to be saved. Though the Arachnids were fast, they could not escape if Plasma continually hit them as they dragged some Elites into the ground. The Arachnids would then let go. Usually the Elites and Hunters aimed for the legs, slowing them from burrowing and the Elites would then follow up with Plasma Grenades being lobbed into the tunnels. The blue flaming grenades bounced down the tunnels and to the Brain Bugs which were in for a nasty suprise, the Plasma Grenades exploded, the Brain bugs having no chance to protect themselves from the explosion...

OOC: You don't know anything about Arachnids, do you LE?

The grenades proved ineffective. The Brain Bugs were too far underground to be harmed by the attack. On the surface, the Arachnid Warriors were hardly fazed by Carbine fire, their thick carapaces absorbing the rounds easily. Only armor-piercing or explosive weapons could potentially harm an Arachnids of any type, and even then the Warriors were infamous for their persistence, fighting on even after losing limbs. Even the Energy Swords weren't useful enough to cut down more than a few Arachnids before they were overwhelmed and ripped to pieces. Plasma Rifles were moderately useful, but the Arachnid numbers proved too much, making even these hard to use. Plasma Pistols never worked, as the Charged Shots did nothing to the Warriors. Even when the Covenant forces managed to dodge emerging Arachnid attackers, Hoppers or Ripplers would usually attack them from the sky or they would jump right into another Warrior or Tiger Bug. The Arachnids with ranged attacks, namely the Tankers, Plasma Bugs, and Ripplers, were either hard to hit, or virtually invincible to small-arms fire. Even though they were outnumbered, this did not last long. a third wave of spores arrived, landing on the planet and bolstering the Arachnid numbers to a whopping 2 billion.

The entrance the Skaven had come out of, along with the one nearby, were the closest entrances underground to get to the cannon. They were pretty much Martain's only way in. Each one led into a massive cavern, machinery covering their walls and catwalks higher above. Smaller halls stretched from these. The loud, clanking machinery had prevented any Skaven in the caverns to hear anything above ground unless they were near the exit, as the two Skaven earlier were.

The spacecraft was heading towards the planet known as lv-247. On board the vessel were humans, their goal being to find out what creatures lived on the planet and deem whether the planet could be habitated by humans. The vastness of space stretched out behind the vessel and seemed like a vast ocean of stars with planets being islands.

"Get me to Kepe...I can send reinforcements to help you guys, come on, you guys need the aid" The Field General said, finally being acknowledged. It was kinda odd but he figured if the Imperials were to gain more power...they needed allies and they find that, in the Elites. Still, it would be odd for Revan to decide as he most likely is determined to display his true power..

A black arm growled:"We have patrolled the terriotry and have found no intruders." A deep voice growled in response:"Good. Next time you and your group patorl and find any intruders, bring them to me alive. I will show them that those who dare to ignore my warnings will see no mercy." The black arm nodded and walked off deeper into the cave, knowing that his leader had no further orders for him yet.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Imagine our combined strengths...no foes could stand against our combined power. " The Field General replied. Prehaps if he could dream...he was dreaming now. And maybe for once he could actually consider himself important to the empire..

Black doom was laying down on his right side, resting. He had been flying for 3 hours and it had made him feel tired, especially his wings. The black arms leader did not know of the humans approaching the planet he and his species lived on. There was a ledge in his cave that he slept on and rested on and the other black arms did not sleep there.

The Major, knowing humans had helped them in the past knew the Arachnids were going to overrun them eventually, quickly had a thought, and then after some serious hesitating nodded. "How exactly do you plan to get into contact with your fleet then?" Asked the Veteran...

Hive fleet Scylla had returned to the jungle planet after the Maricans and Imperials left, and recovered the remains of many of their creatures to be re-engineered. Among them the mighty Eviscerator, there great and many times killed and reborn commander.

Thats was some time back and now the hive fleet tracks the hyperspace trails and EM fields of their prey, the Maricans and the Imperials, planning to catch up with them and leave their ships as barren husks...
