"Welcome to the crew then, Arqueek" said Serephir. he looked at the entrance to the Devil's Vinyard pub, and said "Care for a drink? i need to pick up a few more crew members before we're clear to go"..

Thara let his bag drop to the ground as he slumped onto the side of a feuling truck, watching the ship... It looked expensive... There really wasn't much to consider when it came to weither or not to accept the offer. This was the head of VAMCEB he was talking about.... He stretched out his hands, cracking his knuckled idely... Waiting for Serephir to show up...

The reinforcements of torpedo spheres used anti personal missles, taking out the space bugs with their missles as the speedy and accurate missles had no problem targeting their foes. As for now..the combined forces of Imperial and Elites were seemingly finishing off the bugs..

Admiral Kaine however wanted to make sure as the Imperial Fleet continued to bombard bug areas..

The Space Bugs opened fire on the attacking ships, blowing them out of the sky with greater speed than the Imperials could to them. A voice hissed in Admiral Kaine's head, "It's hopeless, foul pest. You cannot win. Leave, or die like the rest of them." The Brain Bug was toying with the Admiral's mind, striving to distract him and lessen the effectiveness of his fleet.

Serephir grinned as he walked in, waving at the bartender as he entered, the man reacting rather friendlily. "Commander Serephir of the VAMCEB! if it ain't the Devil of Vardia 'imself! it's been a long time! welcome! welcome! how can i help you?" said the Bartender, Adraban Flicette, an old comrade of Serephir's from the civil war. "Addy! how's life!?" called Serephir as he walked in. "Great! great! come have a seat! tell me what you'd like and i'll have it done right away!" said the middle-aged man as he put an arm over Serephir's shoulder. "Sorry, Ad, i'm sorta rushed. we could chat and maybe have a drink, but that's about it. i'm off on a voyage. looking for anyone whose willing to join and has the experience to work on a ship for two years. decent pay, basically a roam around the galaxy. I'm planning to build up Vardia's connections with the outside world. make contacts, friends, gain some influence, you know. any idea who might want a job?" said Serephir. looking over at Arqueek, he said "Oh, and i have a friend here whose run aground. i'm taking him with me, but i think he might want a good meal. told him you're the best there is around here. give him what he'd like and give me the bill when he's done". "Oh, of course. will do" he said before looking over at the counter at one of the staff who were working at the dishes. "Oi! Maddy! give the young man some service, will ya?!" he yelled. "Will do, boss!" responded the auburn haired girl at the counter, quickly grabbing a menu and walking over to Arqueek, as Adraban went around the counter and poured himself and Serephir a drink each, and started to talk, while some of the people in the pub looked over at him with interest. the leader of VAMCEB looking for crew for a voyage? it was an odd, somewhat surprising sight for those who didn't know him. "Would you like a drink, a meal, or both?" said the girl as she reached the Skaven with a menu, handing it to him...

Admiral Kaine questioned the voices but he reminded himself that if he were to focus on other things, more men were dying then needed. "No..all ships push on the assualt, continue on!" Admiral Kaine ordered. Turbo laser batteries, point laser cannons and anti personal/starfighter missles continued to fire, blasting Space Bugs as well along with the speedy rapid firing fighters. From interceptors to fighters, the TIE's continued to give support.

Arqueek twitched his whiskers, looking at the menu. "Gimme a drink, a strong one, whatever ya got."

The TIEs did little to the Space Bugs' armored shells. They simply ignored them, using their energy beams to take out more and more ships, the Plasma Bugs providing some support. The Arachnids on the surface dove underground, intending to wait until ground troops tried to get to them before attacking once more. The voice in Kaine's head chuckled. "You just don't give up, do you? Fine then, go ahead. Keep going. Let's see just how long you can last."

The Sangheili upheld their own grounds, those areas that could be saved, certain continents across Sanghelios weren't even occcupied by the Arachnids but many others were succumbing to the infestation. Still, the Sangheili were among the mightiest races in the galaxy and they were not going to lose their homeworld. The Sangheili took note of the Imperial forces which deployed and fought alongside them and so gave them as good support they could. The battle was turning quite well, most of the ground forces of the Arachnids were falling to an exchange of plasma and laser weaponry. The Hunters were also protected by groups of Sangheili and Imperial Troopers. Suprisingly, it didn't take long for both sides to work together. Elites pointed out particuliar groups of enemies to the Imperials and the Imperials were then able to wipe out multiple Arachnids. At one point, a lone Plasma Bug charged at a Hunter and the Hunter did the same, the two beasts clashed and though the Plasma Bug was stronger, it had failed to notice the second Hunter which came for its side a second later, the combined effort flipped the Arachnid over and so it was easily eradicated by two Assault Cannons from the Hunters...

OOC: A Hunter couldn't flip over a Plasma Bug. They're 30 meters tall. Please, read the details on the Arachnids before you post like that.

The Arachnids were holding their own well. Warriros and Tiger Bugs had the advantage of toughness and sheer numbers, while Ripplers and Hoppers controlled the skies and Tankers destroyed anything in the way with their size. Plasma Bugs ignored Sangheili and Imperial forces unless they got too close, whereupon they dissolved them with their corrosive spittle.

"Will do" said the teen as she went back behind the counter and quickly got to the large bottles kept at the end of the counter. usually kept for the high priority customers. she pulled out a bottle of rich sky blue water-like liquid, poured it into a tall glass, before pulling another one out, this one having a bubbly golden colour to it. she poured it in, the two drinks mixing as she finally placed a slice of Vardian Melon on it, before bringing it to the Skaven and saying "Here you go. enjoy", before walking over to a nearby wall, leaning against it, just in case the man wanted anything else. Serephir got up, chuckling as he shook his Adraban's hand, drawing him into a brotherly hug before turning to head for the door. a couple of men in robes approached him as he was heading for Arqueek, saying "Commander?". "Serephir. how may i help you, gentlemen?" he said before he turned around, surprising the two twins. "Do you need a good pilot and mechanic?" said the older of the two. "Well, it's not particularly urgent, but it'd be handy, yes" responded Serephir. "Jarmun and Jarad, at your service" the two men said. "And how much experience do you have with space?" said Serephir. "See this?" said Jarad, the more heavily built of the siblings as he pointed to a rich glowing blue shard of crystal hanging around his neck. "This was acquired during our voyages 4 years ago. covered half of the galaxy, but ran out of funds when we arrived here. we wish to explore the other half" he said. Serephir nodded. "Impressive. and your gear?" he asked. "In the Inn next door. give us the dock number of your vessel and we'll be there in 30 minutes to an hour" said Jarmun, the younger and skinnier of the two, his voice slightly higher pitch than Jarad. "Dock 4. guarded by two men, and a Koultian who is now being kept waiting a bit longer than nessecary. we have all we need. we'll be waiting for you at the ship" said Serephir as he turned around, tapping the Skaven on the shoulder. he whipped out his wallet and promptly placed 20 Vardian Denarii on the table and handed another 15 to the girl. "Thanks Maddy. before we go, would you mind pouring me a drink? the usual, please". the young girl's face lit up at the tip she'd been given, and immediately went to pour Serephir a drink similar to Arqueek's, in a cup made of a strange gelatinous materiel, that solidified when held from the brim. "Here you go, Mr. Serephir" said the girl cheerfully. Serephir grinned and placed another 10 Denarii on top of the 20 to pay for his drink, and then said "Let's go Arqueek. we're running a bit slow". "Be sure to keep in touch, Serephir!" called Adraban from the counter as he expertly passed drinks to customers asking for them. "Will do, Adraban!" Serephir called back, as he walked out the door, the twins just ahead as they headed for the Inn to get their gear ready..

This is my last post for today guys. cya tomorrow, i hope

Arqueek nodded, standing up and sipping his drink experimentally. Shaking his head, he whistled. "That's some good stuff, right there!" Walking after Serephir, he added, "Just needs some Warpstone, and it'd be even better!"

A scourge appeared to the arcanids had arrived as Imperial Gunships continued to aid support. Like phantoms they were trooper carriers while paticular powerful combatents. Armed with two heavy missle lauchers, two rapid firing blaster cannons with two laser cannons. They were light and swift as their laser cannons which fired out a steam of green energy sliced through archanids with ease as their missles and turrets continued to gun down any as TIE bombers, covered by TIE Fighters had absolute sucess as they bombed massive numbers with sheer ease due to their high performance weaponry.

Acclamtors began to head for the surface, these large former ships were still heavily armed and while not as large or powerful as a Star Destroyers they were still a threat as they stay high as slowly made their way to the orbit firing vollies of missles and turbo laser fire into plasma bugs..

Hoppers and Ripplers pursued the aerial Imperial craft, latching onto them and ripping them apart with their powerful mandibles and blowing them up with explosive stingers. The Plasma Bugs retaliated, their attacks easily penetrating the Accalmators' shields and hulls, blowing them to pieces.

"That's one of this place's specialties. reserved for the people who are wealthy enough to have it. a single glass is 20 Denarii" said Serephir as he walked towards the dock, spotting the Koultian in the distance, leaning against a crate. he took a sip of the drink as he continued walking, saying "We'll sort out pay when we're out of the atmosphere. by then everything will have been sorted out and i won't have anymore work to do"...

Thara turned to see Serephir approaching with a Skaven... He frowned, not having much experiance with them. From what he heard they were tricky and generally untrustworthy... Though he didn't put much faith in sterotypes. He took a bite from the strange Vardian fruit he had bought in a nearby vendor... There was no reason to worry about alien dieseases, he had an implant for dealing with your average diesease. Marican made. It wouldn't stand up to the lethality of man-made viruses but it could deal with most of what the universe threw at him.

Arqueek took another sip and then said, "Oh, before I forget, here's a word of warning: if you're going to learn more about the galaxy, feel free to ask me about my home planet, Skav. Just don't go there. Not exactly the most friendly of places."

Massive bombings took place as highly destructive plasma bombs were unleashed from the TIE Bombers as they continued to bomb large areas and plasma bugs, also bombing the tunnels. This homeworld was heavily infested and the problem was that they couldnt be sure they took out ALL of them..

The gunships still had gunners with a single laser cannon from the back that rapidly shook bugs behind them as TIE Fighters from orbit lent their support..

"One of the main goals of this voyage is to build ties with the other countries. so chances are, we're going there anyway. unless of course you have some good ties there that you could introduce me to" said Serephir as he walked up to Thara. "Commander!" came a familiar voice behind him as Blaze skidded to a hault behind him, a fairly large case in hand. "Woah. hold on there" said Serephir as he eyed the case. it looked like all Blaze's worldy posessions were in it, if somewhat compact. "think you've uhh, got enough there, Blaze?" said Serephir with a short laugh. Blaze, not seeing a problem said "Well, i guess i could've brought along the stereo as well. but the lap top PC will make up for that". Serephir chuckled and shrugged. "Well, as long as all this stuff doesn't end up scattered all over the ship, i guess it's ok". as the Twins arrived, a couple of rather colourful cases with them, draped in multi-coloured shawls and veils. Serephir raised an eyebrow at the appearance of the cases, but shrugged it off. "O...kay. i guess that's everyone" he said as he looked around. a couple of guards came from on board the ship, walking up to them, dressed in typical outfits, though VAMCEB pins worn by the two betrayed their true purpose. they gave Serephir salutesand stood straight with complete and utter respect towards their Commander. "Relax, you two. that kind of reaction is for when we're on duty. for now, you're not required to do the whole salute routine. that clear?" said Serephir. the two men relaxed noticably, and nodded. "Now, care to tell me who you two are?" he said. one of the two, a tanned man with a completely shaved head, two curving, blade-like tatoos on either side of his head, wearing jeans and a normal black T.Shirt. a tribal pattern resembling a Vardian Leorap roaring printed on it. "Xander" said the man. "Commanding Officer of the 5th Emergancy Defence Platoon" he added. Serephir nodded. he looked at the guy next to him."And you?" he said before taking another sip of his drink...

Anyone who wants to control the last guy is welcome to do so. just let me know, make a profile and post away...if nobody claims the character by the time i'm required to post again, i'll take control of him myself. this is for anyone who wants to join in. all NPCs are open for player use...

Even when the tunnels collapsed from the heavy bombing, the Arachnids simply dug new ones. The remaining Arachnids on the surface fought back, Hoppers, Ripplers, and Plasma Bugs blowing various aircraft out of the sky, buying time for the remaining Arachnids to head underground.
