So I decided to make this. Kp was just screaming bloody murder over msn there so I think it could be a nice stress releiver if you put work into it.
Now, this isn't like normal e-wars. No matter how cool your character is, he/she can die and WILL die eventually. Its
almost impossible for them to be able to defeat everything they come across. (if they do defeat everything, then I will have found the main legendary warrior of my story

Before I go into the nitty witty character stuff, I'm going to outline some stuff here;
Fights: NPC's will be your main enemies. These can be normal combatants or they can be mindless monsters (only npcs can be mindless monsters) PvP fights are encouraged and are infact nesscessary for the more resilient of combatants. You can challange other players either via pm or publicly in random land. If the challanged player accepts, its up to the players to start the fight here. The challanged player has the rights to make first post and decide the arena.
character Backstory:
I dont need it. More than that. you dont want it. Do not get over attached to a character, esspeicially a new one, as it will probably die a painfull death fairly soon and be a bit anti climatic.
Arenas: All fights are encircled by a massive stadium. The general arena is a dusty area with obstacles and traps littering the battlefield, will usually be about 50 meters in all directions, though this can change for larger or smaller fights. In a challange match, the challanged player has rights to describe the traps and obstacles in the arena if he/she wishes too.
Characters:
Any thing can be introduced. Samuraiis, boxers, robots, alien monsters etc
Keep in mind that humans are the norm.
Tech:
Insane technology is welcomed, but every peice of equipment used by warriors (includeing their basic clothes) must be described before hand, So no pulling daggers out of hidden wrist blades and stabbing someone to death while they laugh at your dudes bleeding corpse.
Balanceing:
Every fight will be balanced in some way. If its a swordsman vs a robot, the swordsman's weapon must be able to cut through the robots armour.
(these changes can be applied just before the fight, as handycaps)
A giant cannot fight a lone soilder, its just mean. As such, it will have to fight a horde of them instead to balance it out. While it is still a giant and has a fare advantage, the soilders do have a chance of victory.
Skill is factored in aswell, but only after the warrior has come out of two fights victorious. (eg: After a fight or two, it would be clear that someone like Kratos from God of War wouldn't need much balanceing fighting something much bigger than him)
This also means that the scarier and more powerful warriors will eventually be pitted against many newbies.
Mercy:
In a player vs player battle, it doesn't always end with one player dying. Sure, if a player is decapitated, its all over. But decapitateing someone is almost impossible to do without acting like a complete and utter noob. If someone is downed and a sword point/claw put to their neck, then they are at the mercy of the other players (in the form of the crowd) They can post saying a section of the crowd made the thumbs up symbol or the thumbs down symbol, if the majority wants the fighter to live, they must be let forfeit the fight and return to the dungeon in shame, if the majority wants them dead, then their fate is sealed.
As a final note, all new characters start out maybe a week or two after entering this messed up and horrible gladiators world. Plucked from time, they are thrown into a dungeon fitting of their origins where they are offered weapons and armour. From their, they are thrown to their first fight into an arena with everyone else captured along with them. (their captors appear normal to them, eg: A greek soilder would see maybe some mythological creature or another greek person while an alien would see an alien of the same species) From their, only one fighter is allowed leave. That fighter, the strongest and most skilled of the lot is free to roam the dungeons as they will, meeting other gladiators and trying out different weapons.
I think thats it... I'll add more stuff if I think of it.
Here is a quick template to use for createing a new warrior. (you can add different parts onto it aswell, such as favourite move, if you want to)
Name/Alias: (everyone must have a name, even its just generic newbie #23)
Gender: (Even if you are dealing with a ball of gloop, its better just to give it a gender, makes it easier when posting about it)
Species: (can be almost anything)
description: (again, mind is the limit)
Weight: (self explanatory, try to make it realstic, it will effect alot of things, mainly density of your dude, so if your creature is feather light and someone rams a spear through his gut you cant say "Whaaa! he is way to strong for that

Height: (le duh)
Witdh: (le duh)
Length: (le duh)
State of mind: (If he is batsh*t crazy *points at Darky* or quite a nice fellow *points at Fatalis*
Insane combatants will generally be more brutal in combat and will go for brute force instead of thinking fights. Remember what you said here when posting, you cant have a batsh*t crazy dude start thinking about a logical solution to a problem when he should just be chargeing into battle)
Equipment: (Anything and everything your character has. For clothes, you must describe their outter garmants, like cloaks and armour)
Powers and Fighting style: (magical, technological or natural) (technological powers are mixed in with magical, therefore, balanceing a cyborg vs fairy fight) (fighting style is just a run down of their technique)
You can leave things out if they are N/A
Here is a handy version for Copy pasteing;
Name/Alias:
Gender:
Species:
description:
Weight:
Height:
Witdh:
Length:
State of mind:
Equipment:
Powers and Fighting style:
I'll start you off with someone off the top of my head.
Name/Alias: Dynamo (nick name)
Gender: Male
Species: Human
description: A tall tanned man with brown longish hair. He is strongly built. his eyes seem to roll out of sync at times
Weight: 170lb
Height: 6'2"
State of mind: Utterly bonkers. Increidibly brutal in combat
Equipment: Dynamo wares a tattered and torn monks habbit. It is thought that he is from early christian germany. Gauldy pieces of armour are straped on to random parts of the Habbit as customisations to his attire. He has golden jewlery such as chains and braces hanging off his arms and around his neck.
He fights with two thick daggers, very heavy but very powerful and sharp.
Powers and Fighting style: He is a beserker by nature, chargeing into battle and over whelming his foes with powerful strikes, often screaming and shouting to intimidate his opponents....
(will make my first post later, doing something at the mo)
