Adeline chuckled and shook her head. "Oh that James," she mumbled when he left the room. She picked up a rag and began to clean the remaining blood stains on her own sword before sharpening it. She shivered a little, feeling cold herself, but ignored it for a little bit. I'll just wait for James, then I'll go, she thought.

a few moments later, James walked out, dried off mostly, though the fact he was soaked through still made his shirt stick to his skin somewhat. he walked back into the room and said "You care to do the same?". he was starting to regret changing in the first place now...now that the weather had cleared up, the frying sun was quickly heating the ship and it's occupants up...

Storm's eyes filled with tears as she continued. She rarely cried especially in public. Her theory is that if a woman cries in public, it shows them that she is weak. And she refused to give anyone the satisfaction of knowing that somewhere, deep down, she had a heart.

My name is Calypso.
I have let him go.
In the dawn he sails away, to be gone forever more.
And the waves will take him again,
but he will know their ways now.
I will stand upon the shore, with a clean heart.
And my song in the wind, the sand will sting my feet.
And the sky will burn, it's a lonely time ahead.
I do not ask him to return.
I let him go, I let him go.

Adeline looked up at James and stared for a few minutes. His shirt was kind of sticking to him. Ok Adeline, stop now. She quickly blinked and started to focus on her sword again, listening to his question. She thought about it and shrugged. "Maybe, yeah I'll do it."

"Ha, Ha, Ha!!" A huge booming laugh echoed around the tide pools. Storm looked up and started to search frantically for the source. "Poor, poor, Tempest Storm, the girl who's made of stone, but actually thinks she has a heart!" said the voice. "Show yourself!" Storm shouted. "Now is that any way to talk to your patron?" the voice said again. Storm looked out to sea again, but this time she could see a face in the waves. "What do want?"

James smirked as he noticed Adeline's stare for a moment, before hearing her answer. "Either way, i don't think it really matters. give it an hour or so and it will be as if you never were in a storm at all" said James simply as he walked over, sitting back down and lying back in the chair for now...

Adeline nodded and said, "Ok" quietly. She tried to focus her eyes on sharpening the sword, but they would wander and she would turn her head to look at James, laying back in the chair. She blushed and quickly turned around, trying to keep her eyes on the sword again. Focus...focus!

James sighed as he lay in the chair, eyes still closed, saying "What're you looking forward to most about the next few months"...

"I wanted to check in on my favorite pirate," Posiedon said as another wave crashed on Storm's feet, this time she swore she felt a small kiss. She lept back from the waves with a small squeek and again a huge booming laugh nearly detfened her. "Still frightened, like the little girl that came to me asking for a ship," he said. Storm glared and gritted teeth. "Not so little, I was 12 then!" she said. "And one with no crew, no one to back her up, I guess that's what really attracted me to you," he said softly. Storm looked down stricken with shame and defeat, Posiedon would always say that, without his help she wouldn't even be here.

Adeline thought about it while finishing up her sword. "Well...I'm looking forward to getting more chocolate powder for a start," she answered with a chuckle. "I look forward to...spending time with you and sailing the seas, continuing to do what pirates do best! What about you?"

"Experiencing the life of a TRUE pirate...ever since i've been old enough to be able to sail, i've been looking for my father, then how to free him...i never really experienced life as a truely free pirate" said James thoughtfully...

"True..." said Adeline thoughtfully. She put down her sword when she was done with it and went to sit in a chair. She smiled. "Living free without any rules told hold you back."

"No rules...no boundries...the sea, ours...I like the sound of that" he said with a smirk, a slightly devilish look in his eyes...

A month later, the Reaper pulled into Tortuga, the Pearl close behind, having been hindered by slightly greater sail damage thanks to having had to have chainshot fired at the mast to break loose of the Dutchman a month ago...

James straightened up, standing tall, making sure he was fully geared, his wallet safe in his shirt to save it from thieves, his gear securely tightened to him. he looked over at Adeline and said "Ready?".

The news just stung...as the Admiral just shook his head.

"An Entire Armada defeated by patethic scum..no..pirates..pirates won" John thought there, the people in Port Royal, they all knew it, they heard the news.

"They lack displince, fear overwhelmed them and when the man himself who led the company died, the armada fled and turned. They outnumbered them..there was a fleet of prehaps hundreds but no..they still lost" John slowly said, quietly to himself.

"What now Admiral..." The Commondore asked, he tried to remain as professional as he could. Port Royal was at risk but more importantly..the seas were at risk.

Pirates would multiply, all sense of law and order would be lost..something like this could not happen.

But the news was overwhelming.."Pirates.." The one word that John couldnt get rid. It ate at him..

Adeline looked herself over. She was wearing a cream white shirt with a red bodice and black pants. She strapped her sword on and put her pistol in it's holder. "Yes, I'm ready now," she answered and smiled. "Let's head in Tortuga. Maybe we get a puppy here too while we're at it."

"Chances are it'll be a starving, half dead mutt" said James simply as he walked out of the cabin, heading for the ladder, climbing down and into the Ship's Dinghy, while Jack and Gibbs climbed down from the Pearl and into their Dinghy, Barbossa saying a couple of words to the crew before following. Raphael, Smith and Nathan followed James and Adeline off the ship, rowing them to Tortuga to have their ships repaired. when they arrived, James climbed out and helped Adeline up, Smith, the Cabinboy, hanging around to watch the Dinghy while Raphael and Nathan followed James and Adeline into Tortuga, James keeping an eye out for a new figurehead...he wanted the Reaper to have a more fitting figurehead that a Dragon...

Adeline shrugged. "At least it's a dog, plus we can always feed it back to health, then train it...or we can wait until we get to Isla Muelle and get one there." She walked along with James in Tortuga, watching as pirates walked down the streets, sometimes buying and selling, or just causing havoc. "So this is Tortuga? Lovely place."

"What do you want, besides antagonizing me?!" Storm snapped. "It's been a while and considering I saved your life and your ship..." Posiedon said. Storm glared. "I'll do it as soon as we set sail tomorrow morning," she said solemly. She only heard silence and the waves crahing against the rocks. "Very well," Posiedon said. Storm turned around and started to walk back toward the docks letting the waves carress her feet. It was as if they were saying 'I'm sorry for everything I said.' She turned her face up to the sun and smiled relishing the bracing sea air...

"It's probably better if we do...chances are it'll be healthier and more likely to survive" said James just as a bear bottle whizzed past his face, colliding with a wall. "Oi you!" came a familiar woman's voice as she walked over to him. "Ugh....not again" groaned James audibly, mostly just to annoy the woman and amuse anyone watching or listening in...

The next morning, Storm was at the stern of her ship stroking the railing as if to say 'I'm sorry for what I've done to you.' Xavier was on the dock smiling slightly. He had come to watch them take off and to wish Storm luck on what ever raids she was going to do. "Cosimo take us out of here!" Storm yelled up to her first mate, who was at the helm. "Aye, aye captain!" he cried. "What is our course?!" Storm smiled. "We only came here for repairs, we didn't get the chance to resupply, set a course for Tortuga!"
