"Perhaps we will," Sarra whispered as she lept onto another tree and started leaping in the opposite direction. She stopped to listen to the wolves howling. They say that the wolves howl is the most beautiful and melancholy sound you could ever hear, her mother's voice echoed in her head. Her mother had a strong passion for all the animals of the animal kingdom and Sarra loved to hear her tell her stories of each animal she could think of...

Another stop. The massive Salt Water Croc walked up into the shore to take a break, resting up. He dragged himself to where he lay, allowing the hot sun to warm him up. He stayed there motionless as he shutted his eyes to take a little rest. He would then go on patrolling and perhaps find himself a snack and then settle or put down any challengers as typical. Blood Scar continued to warm up, preparing for the next time he would enter the water.

As Night finished her howl, she lowered her muzzle and gazed at Lusa through piercing bright, dark blue eyes. "The song of a wolf varies," Night growled after a moment of silence. "No two howls are exactly alike, and if you listen carefully you can tell exactly what a wolf is feeling when they sing." Lusa nodded, drinking in every word that Night spoke.

Gustav drifted through a river in the jungle, a rumble coming from him as he eyed the other crocodiles in the water around him. the giant dwarved them all, drifting through the water fearlessly, not having to worry about being attacked by another, his appearance and numerous battle scars enough to scare most opposition off and his strength enough to eliminate all who opposed him...life was good...

Dark fur could now see the deer, having spotted it after tracking its scent for 15 minutes. He was slowly moving closer to where the herbivore was grazing, stopping briefly every few minutes to make sure that the deer hadn't heard him or picked up his scent. THe leopard knew thta it would only take one mistake to reveal that he was there and ruin his hunt. He was approaching from the deer's right side, ready to leap out from hiding once he was close enough.

After a while Sarra was snacking on an eagle that was stupid enough to pick her tree to nest. She licked the blood off the bones and started to lick her claws. She jumped down and buried the bird near the tree. Another lesson from her mother, everything, even the dead, are nourishment to the world around us. She buried it good and then lept back into her tree and slept with a full stomach...

"So....now I know why wolves sing," Lusa yipped. She ran her pads over the stone once more. "Would my real mother have told me this?" "Perhaps," Night growled softly. "If she felt it was necessary..."

Kita stepped up a large rock, and he surveyed the area. Nothing. Then he caught something in the corner of his eye. A spring. He looked again. A leopard and a lion from what he could see. He decided against looking, but he stood still, he was standing on a tall rock, plain in sight, how could he not be noticed?

This time Sarra was going to be brave, this time she would walk into the plains. It's no wonder the call it the plains, it's so plain! she thought. And open said the instinct voice. She sighed, so what if it was open, she wasn't going to attract a lot of attention out there. You're black, how are you not going to be noticed!!? Ah, well. She took a step into the long grass and another step. One after the other, she stepped as carefully as a kitten. "So far, so good," she wihspered and kept creeping in the tall grass...

Kita's gaze darted to a black shape moving in the grass. Unnoticed behind it was a Gazelle. Instinct kicked in, and Kita leapt off the rock and bolted towards the animal, like a bullet, the grass swayed, almost bowing to him as he darted past...

Sarra whipped her head around as she heard something charge through the grass. She looked behind her and inwardly hit herself. How could she not have noticed the gazelle right behind her!! No matter, she wanted to see what creature it was that wanted this or her...

Kita neared the Leopard, and he leaped over it, landing at the gazelle's side, he used his speed to jump and bite it's neck, causing it to roll over, then with a sickening snap, the body went limp. Kita began to feast on his kill, keeping a wary eye of the leopard in front of him, just in case...

Sarra blinked a few times before it finally sank in on what she was looking at. It was a cheetah, her mother had also told her what these creatures looked like; Like our spotted counter parts, except faster and they have long legs ans small faces. She didn't really want to approach for fear of it attacking her. What good was a black jaguar anyway? We're not fast like cheetahs, we're not strong like the lion or tiger, what's so good about us? she thought furiously. She just sat there and watched it consume his prey.

Kita tore a hunk of flesh and threw it towards the leopard. "What's your name?" he asked, swallowing another chunk of meat.

Sarra looked down at the meat then bent to eat it. "Sarra," she said through a mouthful. She swallowed. "What's your's?"

"Kita" he growled, ripping the last piece of meat from the carcass, leaving the rest for anything else that needed nourishment. "You have a home?" he asked curiously, licking his lips and padding away from the body.

"Sort of," Sarra growled uncertainly. "I travel alot so, I really don't have a home, the jungle is my home."

"You are what I'd call a wanderer." he smirked, heading towards the river for a drink.

"Not really. Just I travel and travel alone. Unless you'd care to join me?" He asked, expecting a 'no thanks' or 'why?'. He neared the water's edge, without noticing a croc in the water...
