The man stood as still even in this unforgiving wilderness. His eyes glimmered, but Cantus thought, "Is this man blind?" His face was marred by a scar of grayish-red flesh which ran from his eye down to his upper lip. He must have been experienced because his form was excellent. The furs appeared to be a black bear, the head of it looked like it was stabbed, crushed, and smashed. This was a violent man.
Cantus drew one breath, his emotionless face seemed chiseled in stone. He charged straight to the savage spear man, sword and shield in hand. Cantus drew ever closer, and the spear man's form had begun to falter.
He panicked and thrust, but his timing was off. The Fallen Paladin had beat the spear to the side with the dented shield and went in for a quick stab to the chest, which the primitive man twisted his torso so the jagged blade passed him by a mere hair. Cantus retracted quickly and he hid his face with his shield, waiting for the fur clad warrior to strike. Sure enough, he went in for a stab, but in the middle of his thrust he spun it around and struck Cantus' leg, causing him to collapse. His armor felt like a prison, he couldn't possibly move to the side quick enough to evade the blow.
Cantus brought his shield to his face when he saw the spear straight above his head, then he saw a black blur above his face and heard the panging metal of a spearhead land on his chest.
Cantus scrambled to his feet and saw Talos struggling to push the sword to barbarian's throat, but the mass of fur picked him up and through him into the snow behind him. He turned to Cantus, with that same confident smirk. Cantus' face was still the same as it ever was. He charged to the large man and went for a hack to the neck, but as he approached, the fur wearing beast toppled over with a sword stuck into the back of his skull, and standing four yards behind him was Talos.
"That was quite an impressive feat.", says Cantus, "Do you normally do this?"
