The assassin looked around he continued to drive around. The streets seemed so much peaceful and silent ever since that coporation died along with Desh's disapperance. Since then, he hadnt seen a single werewolf, vampire, demon or anything in between. Just simple patrols around the city. His car started to speed down on the streets before making a quick turn as it started to slow down. A line of cars were stopped from a red light. Everything seemed normal..This was getting boring..

Ray sat down silently as he rest his head on his knuckles. Dreig on the other hand remained standing up scratching his head. We have nothing to go on we cant really do anything at this point until we find something. he said.

[Shade]

"Hmm," Thanatos said now leaning against the mantle. "Aren't we going to do anything about the guys that killed Jack?" Nyx asked looking at Dreig. Diana closed her eyes and sighed, waiting for someone to answer. Thanatos grabbed the glasses from Velkor and started pouring the wine and handing out glasses...

drifting down the corridors with all the noise of a cat stalking prey, Drake examined the building. the smell of blood was fairly strong here, but perhaps it was his heightened senses that made him think that. then there was the presence, the atmosphere of the building. it felt somewhat forboding, as if it's owner was of such a personality him or herself. he continued to move through the building silently, on the second floor. his ears were picking up the conversation of the others fairly, allowing him to keep his attention on their needs. he stopped for a moment to concentrate on it. this could turn out to be a good step forward if he played it right...

Velkow leaned back on the couch, pouring himself a drink and downing it in one gulp. "So, exactly what are you guys doing, hiring Drake and all?"

[Zephyr]

Thats what i mean, Dreig said as he sat on the floor leaning back against the couch. We dont have a clue on what happened.

Nyx put her head in her hands and Diana shook her head. "Well, there's not much else to do except think on it, really," she said. Thanatos looked at her and gave a half-hearted smile. "I probably should show you around before you get situated," Thanatos said to Dreig and Ray.

[Zephyr]

Dreig reached into his pocket with a sigh and pulled out a packet of cigarettes and a lighter. Anyone mind if i smoke? he asked as he lit it up. I thought you quit that sh*t. Ray commented. I always keep some on hand just in case. Dreig replied. Well then hand one over i need the boost. Ray said reaching his hand out as Dreig dropped it in his hand and Ray held it in his teeth as Dreig lit it puffing out a cloud of smoke of his own.

Nyx raised her head at that. "Mind if I?" she asked looking at the cigarettes as well. "And me?" Diana asked. She smoked before, but that was just to see what it was like. "Great everyone's been converted, except me!" Thanatos said.

[Zephyr]

Dreig tossed the case and the lighter to Nyx. He lifted the cigarette away and puffed out another cloud of smoke. Enjoy its my very last case. he said as he put his head back against the couch. Bull, Ray said inbetween fake coughs.

[Shade]

Nyx smiled, stuck the cigarette in her teeth and lit it. She tossed the case and lighter to Diana who repeated the motion and tossed them back to Dreig. Thanatos shook his head. "What?" Nyx asked puffing out a smoke cloud. "It's not like it affects us." "No, but we should be an influence to humans," he said. "Oh, dump the righteousness and get it through your head, NO ONE CARES!!!" Diana snapped. Thanatos and Nyx looked at her with surprise...

"I agree with her," hissed Velkor, downing another glass. "Humans just get in the way."

[Zephyr]

Hearing those words Ray leaped to his feet but not before Dreig who slammed Velkor against the wall pinning him the glass dropping to the floor and shattering. Take that back you b*stard!

Velkor's face was emotionless. "Why? Because you think humans are the greatest? Humans are vermin; nothing more. They make wars with each other, slowly strangle this world to death, create abominations, and for what? Nothing but money and power."

[Shade]

Diana's expression turned immediately to regret. "Hey, none of that!" Thanatos said trying to restrain both Dreig and Velkor. "And Diana, where the h*** did that come from?!" Nyx looked to her friend, her golden eyes boring into Diana's. She understood, she understood completely. "I'm sorry, I think smoking makes me more irritable," she said. "Or more awake to the world," Nyx said.

Velkor muttered, "I don't think the cigarette has anything to do with it. I just think you know the truth about humans. I think you all do, but you just don't want to admit it."

Diana closed her eyes against the tears that were pricking her eyes. "Yes and no, yes, because you're partially right, we do know that humans are the cause of a lot of things and no, because we were once mortals, ignorant and blind to the worlds sorrows and now we're living it, being a vampire opens your eyes to a lot of sorrows and pain, the worst part is you can't forget it," Nyx said also closing her eyes against the tears, hugging her knees to her chest. "You guys think we've got it so d*** good, we don't!"

Velkor shoved Dreig off of him and crossed his arms. He paused for a moment, then hissed, "How about we stop arguing about humans and start making a plan, or something like that?"

[Zephyr]

And demons are better than humans!? Take it back dammit! Dreig hissed as he leapt at Velkor again. Dreig, calm down hes not worth it, Ray said as he got ahold of his own anger. You're damn right he isn't. Dreig bit his tongue and spit the blood on Velkors shoes. He slammed him against the wall one more time lighter than before, then he walked out of the room and out of the mansion.

"At least we aren't greedy, selfish b**tards who want nothing more than personal glory," growled Velkor. "At least I'm not. Coward..." He spat contemptuously.
