Behind their helmets their jaws dropped. Each one of the armored men now knew the meaning of strength.
Men at arms they were. Hired men, so to speak. On pursuit of something that, nearly a month ago, was once a man.
But not one trace of man was left in what was now a hulking creature of hell.
Five men stood, watching the flames engulf this man...this beast.
Slowly, he trudged through the fire, his charred hands outstretched.
The flames danced around his hands, avoiding them.
The men stood in awe as he pushed his hands through the fire, creating an open path through the circle that surrounded him.
A loud crack broke the silence as his foot crushed a lit torch, which seemed to not phase him.
Where his hands went, the flames fled, allowing him to fling the fire away.
As he emerged, his boiling skin simmered down to a crisp.
The men remained still.
He dragged his feet over to one of the men, stunned at the sight, he dare not move.
The eight foot creature thrusted his arm at the face of the nearest man.
He covered the mans entire head with a hand.
With little struggle, he tightened his grasp, crushing his helmet and head.
His body fell limp to the ground as the beast let out a heavy grunt, retaining his position.
He slowly opened his hand, letting the metal and gray matter fall to the ground.
Raising his hand dripping with blood, he looked to the sky and let out a savage roar that shook the iron of the other warriors helmets.

A royal silver dragon fell back, waiting for Drionach, quickly banking over to him as the emperor passed. He hissed "Emperor! area is clear around the first roost!" Drionach acknowledged the messenger and pressed on through the sky....

With an earth shakeing thud, Stimeak crashed home onto a rocky outcrop, slipping along it, hooked claws dragging through the rock, he let himself slip off, his wings spread out and catching him, letting him glide peacfully through the valley... He could see the desert in the north, sand whipping off the dunes in the distance.. Thanking the fact that he didn't have to fly into it. Soon the mountain peaks blocked out his view of the desert as he glided down deeper into the valley... He beat his wings, spinning them around in a complex motion, hovering, before suddenly dropping onto a small rocky mesa, his long claws curving around its edges. He lifted up the Rune of Kerafrym, his eyes narrowing.... Gamal hopped up onto his shoulder, whisspering "You see the golemn?" After a short while, Stimeak hissed "...Now I do..."

Suddenly his eyes flashed red, the runes along the sides of the rune on his palm lighting up brightly. He hissed "Mortada!"

Instantly, a blue wispy shape surged foreward from a large boulder, smashing into the rune and revealing a small blue gem attached to the surface of the slab... Then suddenly the boulder fell, rolling to the ground. several other boulders falling down aswell, having been placed where a humanoid figure's arms legs and head would be respectively.... when the dust cleared, a large cave entrance was revealed... large enough to allow a dragon through... The silver/white cross breed leapt down from the mesa landing infront of the cave entrance with a loud thump. He proceeded into the darkness... having reached his destination....

A flare shot up from Inferno's fin, four small Red Dragons splitting up and scouting the area ahead for danger. they knew where to begin scouting. Inferno had already shown them where the entire attack force was to camp. they would wait a day for the Land Forces to catch up, and then they would go forward as a united force for an assault on the Industrialists...

Fierce winds howled atop of the jagged mountain, blasting snow left and right, creating small vortexes of white. The air was freezing, unsuitable for any human nor an elf to survive, temperatures fifty degrees below zero. If one hadn't any knowledge of the location, they would believe it were an arctic wasteland, ice covering the rock and ground, occasional frozen puddles, and not a form of life to be seen at all.

There were multiple caves scattered around, most leading to the many mazes that made up the mountains body. The mazes were of all sorts, left turns and right, pitfalls, dead-ends, and many small caverns. Even the dullest of the kind could relize that colonies of some sort once lived here. The caverns were obviously unatural, and were the result of excavation and digging. Most would assume it were a colony for Silver or White Dragons, but there was one small problem, the heat. The deeper and deeper you ventured, the more you noticed the raising heat.

Deep within the mountains maze, could be heard a feint growl, similar to a snore. The deep, but low grumbling of one breathing in, and then out. Xytanzus rested quietly, in a small cavern, his grumbles echoing faintly across the pathways. Near his resting body, was a small gatheration of skulls and bones, obviously human or elf, most where cracked, or snapped in many different position, some even in pieces, but all that mattered, was that Xytan had just eaten a satisfying meal.

He snored once more, before he was interrupted by an echoing CLANK. He quickly raised his head up, and examined his surroundings, snorting a many sniffs. He had caught no scent, and was soon to return to his slumber, but he was abrupted by another CLANK. Rocks do not chronically fall naturally, he thought, there is obviously a presence of which has no fears. At which he immediately raised to his feet, and began to sprint across the open pathway.

Another clank could be heard, and another, this only provided more a reason to find it's source, he was running at least twenty miles or so, and was catching speed quickly. He ran one straight path, the walls matching one another, immitating an endless walkway, but it soon came to a end. At the far end of the corridor, could be seen a large pit of some sort, light was emerging from above it. Xytan quickly rushed closer to the pit, and when close enough, he leaped straight into the darkness. Before completely disappearing, a loud FLAP could be heard, and his wings unfolded, where he immediately rushed upward, towards the light.

A black bird wearily flapped its wings, landing onto a wooden ships mast, cawing tiredly into the air.... Several species were busying themselves with the galleon, loading on various crates and artifacts... Raven watched them from his perch... Completely exhausted. He had fled an ambush where several demons had attacked him and his elven freinds. They had something important to tell him. the moment he saw them, they were all hoisted into the air by nooses around their necks, demons surrounding him almost immeidiately afterwards. He had just barely escaped, having tricked one into thinking he was melting and changing into his birdform to escape through the gape right before the soilders had caught him. No doubt they recognised what he was, a shape shifter, and would have told the generals by now. He had a two options. Go to Valorz's army then frame Azshara for the attack. The demons wouldnt care which shape shifter they killed, and Azshara was as likely as any other shape shifter. But then there was the possibility that Valorz would have already been asked about it and have fingered himself, Raven.
The only other option was to flee, which is what he was doing. apparently a sect of human, dwarf and goblin mystics had all prohercised doom. that kind've thing happened all the time, but this time round each group had apparently predicted the exact same thing. They were going to try leave the continent out of fear. He planned on stowing away on their ship. He had heard a few things about where they were going. Apparently black dragons lived there, while they were extinct at his homeland. More so, dragons were much more wide spread, not as magically intune as the beomoths of his homeland, but more civilised.

This intriguied him. Aswell as his own survival, this trip had the poitential to be extremely interesting.

"A shape-shifted betraying his own race? I've heard stranger stories," hissed Valroz to the small group of Demons before him. During one of their breaks during the march, the Demons had warned Valroz of the betrayal of a shape-shifter that was among the elves that had attacked them earlier. Considering Azshara was still by his side, he could only guess Raven. Of course, it was very likely that the Demon had fled, rather than coming back to the army as if nothing had happened, and so it was also very likely that no more of Valroz's plans would turn out badly. As a result, the Commander was more pleased than angered. He still had a shape-shifter, and he had gotten rid of a potential problem without even doing anything. What could be better? "Forget about him. Go back to your duties. We're getting ready to march soon."

Azshara was spooked by the news, having listened in. It wasn't the fact of betrayal, more the fact that she had a level of respect and trust for Raven. The idea of being tricked for a Shape shifter was revolting. If the oppertunity ever presented itself, she would be sure to get her revenge...

A dark form stoop on top of a snowy peak, staring down as he watched the ground, interested. It was a brief stop for the black behemoth, who was now radiating with red cracks in his scales, which seemed ready to explode and pour red hot magma over the snowy mountainside. The behemoth's eyes narrowed, distorted from view because of the snow storm around him, continuing to watch in silence....

Xytanzus had blasted into the air, tearing apart the snow and ice. He flapped his wings, and scanned his territory of which was the snowy peak. He gazed into the horizon, but failed to see a thing, Perhaps had infact been nothing, he began to think, but his eyes soon met a faint red glow amongst the whiteness. Xytanzus smirked, and immediatly swooped down towards it's source.

Neltharion smirked to himself, blazing eyes watching the dragon closely. Their kind was rare...but his trust was not even with the closest of allies, let alone his flight. He had plans for this one...plans that stretched from simply eliminating him, to using him for his own desires...It depended on the dragon's reaction...

Xytanzus landed right before the behemoth, and gazed into it's eyes, "By what form of nature have you been possesed to enter MY territory?" he roared, closing his wings, and hooking his claws to the ground.

"I come with a question..." Neltharion hissed, his eyes never moving. "You do know of your ancestry, I assume? We are a dying breed, and none seem to care about it..." the black behemoth explained, studying the dragon carefully. "Yes...you would do just fine...That is, unless you wish to stay in this frozen realm forever..." Neltharion hissed, a smirk appearing on his maw. The dragon could be useful...

Xytan chuckled, "Ha! I believe the question; is do YOU know of my ancestry..." he began to release his grip from the icy ground, and slowely unfolded his wings, "I know that I am among the few living Black-Dragons, I know that my race is dying out... but in reality," he barked, "I care not, this frozen realm of which you disgrace, is but my home." He narrowed his eyes on the behemoth, and began to snarling his teeth.

"It is a realm so similar to where I was raised...By a cross breed." Neltharion growled, unphased. "You have a choice. Remain here and defend your mountains of ice from whatever insignificant being walks in, or assist your flight in earning our power back..." Neltharion hissed, flexing his wings impatiently.

Xytan laughed, "I see that you still do not understand who I am..." his teeth clearly seen, "I am a loner, and care not for my race. I find no reason to aid you... since after-all, I have no purpose to."

Neltharion shook his head, wings spreading to his sides. "Such selfish actions...But it was your choice...." he hissed, lifting his enourmous body into the air, half expecting the dragon to attack. Though it would destroy any chance of using the dragon for his own purposes, it would at least offer some...enjoyment...

As Neltharion lifted into the air, Xytan began to chuckle, "I didn't directly say no..." he began glaring at the possible threat, "I am.. what you may know to be, a mercenary. If you were to offer a suitable price... I may be your dragon."

"Currency is of no use to me...If I want something, I take it." Neltharion snarled, hovering in place above the dragon. "Unless you speak of power and respect, then you aren't the kind of dragon I seek..." he hissed, waiting for the moment, not sure where the conversation would turn.

Neltharion smirked once more. "I can offer no artifact or gem, but I can guarantee respect and fear for us both...and our kind." he hissed, still hovering above the dragon, the flapping of the black dragon's wings echoing around the area. "A very important event is about to happen...And with it, it gives us both a chance for respect...And the respect our flight so desperately needs..."
