Nate kept on running, seeing a cliff up ahead. He turned to the t-rex and yelled "You, you...lizardy....bugger you, have at me!" The t-rex, who was sniffing Jason turned to Nate and stomped slowly towards him. Nate backed up and spun around, pretending to run, the t-rex bursting into a sprint. Nate dropped to the ground, the t-rex's body flying over head. The dinosaur tried to stop himself, but slid off the edge, falling with a roar of anger. Nate got up to see two tracks where the dinosaur dredged up drit as it slid. The young pirate said "Good riddance to you too"

Great," Storm said. "Just brilliant!" She ran her fingers savagely through her hair. "So it's a lost cause!" "Not lost, dear Storm," Paris said. "There is another way to find it." Storm turned her head to Paris, eyes wide. "I'm sure you've heard of it," he hinted. "Something that points to the thing you want most..."

James walked into the tavern on Isla Muelle. he had spent days searching for that puppy Adeline wanted, with little success apart from a dying hound in an alleyway that was too far gone to be saved. on the way he had found a new figurehead for hi ship, a large, black, hooded being with a scythe, the inside of the hood having a skull with fangs instead of human teeth. he had ordered to have it installed on the bow of the Pearl immediately. he looked at the Bartender and noticed the large German Shepherd he used to own wasn't present. after having made a deal with him for 7 sacks of the same chocolate powder he got last time, he asked about it. "Oh, she's in the back, senor. we had to keep her locked up because her puppies were getting out of control. they're too big to be sleeping all the time like newborn ones, and too small to be let loose by themselves without wrecking the tavern" said the bartender. "How convenient...would you be willing to sell one?" said James. "You'll buy one?!" said the bartender cheerfully. "Would you care to show me them?". the man nodded hastily and told his son to take over the Bar, as he led James into the back of the tavern...

Adeline meanwhile was wanduring the streets of Isla Muelle and looking at the variety of items that were available on some of the market stalls. She was humming cheerfully and thinking as always. When his James going to be back...maybe I should head back to the ship or go to the tavern? She stopped at one of the stalls and picked up what looked like an expensive vase. She turned it around in her hands, shrugged, and put it back down again.

"No, no, no!!" Storm shouted. "I refuse!" Paris shook his head. "There is no other way!" he said. "Oh there is another way," she said. "What? Spending your whole life going from island to island, continent to continent, until you finally find it?!" he asked. "Spend your whole life, searching for something that's probably not worth searching for." Storm banged her fist on the table. "It's worth searching for!!" she shouted in Paris' face. "But not for your whole life," he said calmly. Storm's furious face dropped and she backed off. "The only way is to get the compass."
She ran her fingers through her hair. "Where can I find it?" she asked. "There are only two in existance, one is with Jack Sparrow the other with his just as infamous son," Paris said. Storm groaned and fell into a chair with her head in her hands. Zues, you truly give me no justice, she thought grimly...

Nate walked back to where Jason was, dusting his maroon coat free of the dirt that streaked his side. He mumbled "Stop soiling your britches mate, you only have one pair, and the lizards will smell you a mile away, god damned island"

Cosimo looked at his captain then to Paris. "We could always go after Jack's," he said. Storm shook her head, but looked to Paris to confirm it. "I'm afraid James is the closest at the moment," Paris said, but tried to take pity on Storm. "It's late, think on it, rest, and decide tomorrow." Storm sighed and got up from the chair she had slumped in. She started for the door. "Of course, Storm, you are always welcome to share my hut," Paris added before she could walk out. Storm whipped her head around to glare at Paris, but saw that he genuinely sincere. She sighed and let go of the doorknob. "Return to the ship, I must converse with Captain Lovelace alone," she said. "But-!" Cosimo started to protest. "To the boats, first mate Cosimo," Storm ordered, her voice hard and strained. Cosimo dropped his head in defeat. "Aye captain," he said solemnly. He looked back at Paris before leaving and Paris waggled his eyebrow at him. Cosimo glared and growled softly, before exiting and slamming the door behind him.

James walked out of the tavern, a small, sleeping german shepherd pup in his hands, heading back towards the ship, wondering where Adeline was...

Adeline was sitting on a barrel, watching the men on the ship. Her legs were swaying back and forth, humming a sailor's song. A smile was present on her young face. She looked as though nothing could ruin her mood at the moment, not even a change of the weather or a lazy crew man of the ship. She jumped off of her place on the barrel and began walking toward the, hands shoved in her pockets. She leaned against the edge and stared out at the sparkling blue water. A life perfectly suited for me, she thought and wondered where James could be.

James climbed up the side of the ship, looking around, and spotting Adeline leaning over the edge of the railings, looking out at the sea. he smirked and walked over to her. "I've got a surprise for you" he said as he waited for Adeline to turn around and look, the young, snoozing pup laying comfortably in his hands...

Adeline's eyes lit up once she heard James' voice. She turned around and looked into his arms with awe. Lo and behold there was a little sleeping German Shepard puppy! "Aw James! He's so cute, thank you so much!" She was careful to hug James and stroked the pup's head when she was done. "May I hold him?"

James handed the pup over, overhearing someone mutter behind him. "Izzit me? or 'as the cap'n gone soft?". "Do you really want to risk finding out, sailor?" he commented calmly. there was a stony silence as he looked over his shoulder, seeing the sailor staring at him wide eyed. "N...no, Cap'n" he said. "Well then, i suppose you can get back to work and NOT talk about every last unusual event that occurs on the ship?" James asked. the sailor nodded. "Yes, Cap'n" he responded, before getting back to work, the others following. "The kind of things i have to put up with" he said with mild irritation as he looked back and Adeline, a smirk coming back to his face at the sight of her...

Adeline giggled. "Oh yes, the things you have to put up with on this ship." She shook her head and continued petting her new companion. "I love him, he's absolutely adorable!" She gazed up at James and kissed him on the cheek. "Oh yes, and the men were good for the most part...they were all working as hard as always, nothing really new." She shrugged, then suddenly giggled again at the thought of Rainbow. "How do you think Rainbow will react to the little one?"

"RAAAAAAAAK! Walk the plank! RAAAAAAAAAAK" squawked Rainbow as he looked down from the rigging, nibbling on what looked like a banana he was holding with one of his feet. several of the crew cracked up at the comment, and James could hardly stifle a laugh himself. "We'll be having roast Parrot for dinner if anything happens to the pup" he said, just loud enough to be audible to the macaw. "NO FAIR!" squawked Rainbow from his perch, James smirking in amusement...

Adeline laughed at Rainbow's comment and continued petting her dog. "Rainbow's going to have to learn to get along with him...and the pup is going to learn to get along with Rainbow. Oh and Rainbow, you can come down and see him if you want. He's not harmful, he's just a sweet little thing."

"Good luck trying to get Rainbow to behave" said James with a chuckle as he watched Rainbow, who was innocently nibbling at his banana, though it was obvious he was staring at the pup...

"Eh someday he will learn," stated Adeline with a shrug. "I have a name for the pup too. He's going to be called Baron!" She scratched behind the German Shepard's ear as she said this and the pup let out what sounded like a yawn and bark mixed together. "So James, what are we going to do next?"

James smiled at the suggestion, crossing his arms as Adeline asked him. "Well. last i saw, the French and Brits were tumbling towards a war. dangerous times for pirates...but a gold mine for Privateers. escort missions, trade of weaponry and ammunition, gunpowder, high quality planks for ships, clothing for the crews of those massive warships. i think, that we could be sitting on top of a gold mine if we follow that" he said with a smirk...

Adeline thought about and smirked as she thought about the opportunity at hand. "Sounds like a good life we could be living...all of that gold that we could be gathering. Are we going to go both ways with the French and British or stick to one country?"

"As British as i am at heart, i'd say stick with the French. maybe we could help Pierre's father out...offer to do some missions" suggested James....
