"Hm yeah, we can." She sighed as she thought about the french boy. "I miss him, he was a good fellow," she said solemnly. "I know we can't bring him back but...he didn't deserve to die."

Paris ran a smooth fish bone comb through Storm's hair and smiled as he grabbed a few strands and started braiding. He had braided most of her hair into beautiful dreadlocks, with Storm in complete silence. "You're very quiet," he said. "Hmm, thinking," Storm replied. Paris nodded and finished with his braid. "You look beautiful," he whispered and looked at the mirror they were sitting in front of. Storm's eyes flickered to her reflection then back to the floor, but there was a hint of a smile on her lips. "Why don't you ever admit that you are?" Paris asked. "Because I'm not," she said. Paris frowned. "How can you say that?" he said. "There's no man who would be dumb or too besotted with me to ever try to be with me," she said standing up. "I beg to differ," Paris said standing up as well. Storm turned sharply to him. "Call me a romantic fool, but I do think you're beautiful and I know many others who think so as well," he said. "But we're not discussing that." Storm nodded. "What of this James Sparrow, you seem to know him," Paris said. "We met, but I don't think we'd get along so well," she said.

"We did what we could" said James, though he sounded more like he was pursuading himself than stating a fact. "We tortured and killed his killer"...

Adeline sighed. "Yeah we did...and he deserved that kind of torture too," she mumbled. "He was a monster, but I guess that's because of what happened to him with Calypso."

"Ms. Brunwin may I say once more on how beautiful your looking today" John said towards the young beautiful girl that walked next to him. "Oh please Admiral, you've said enough already" She turned away with a very obvious blush on her cheeks. John grinned slightly as he looked around at the crew members working about. The massive first rate Ship of the Line clearly defining itself from the other ship escorts. A true ship worthy of a Admiral of John's status as the true offensive power of the ship itself was considered mainly unmatched. Returning to Port Royal would prove interesting to the Admiral as he left his brother in command there. The young woman that came along was just a close relative to the Governor and it was her desire too go to Port Royal herself..but of course, she needed an escort and thats what she recieved. The pair walked too the bow of the ship as they stared into open Sea..they would be at Port Royal..very soon..

Paris smiled and nodded. "Already got off on the wrong foot, huh?" he asked. Storm shrugged. "Well, whatever the case, you're going to have to put aside that and suck up your pride and get that compass," Paris said. "I know," Storm replied. "By dawn's light I'll sail out for Sparrow."

"Right... Right there!"
"Were? I don't see em..."
"There, Marcus! Right there!"
"I can't see it..."
"That's cuz you're using you're rotting eye, switch you idiot!"
"Oh........ Oh! Yeah, I see it... What is that?"
"I don't know... It's got a Black Sale. Pirates I imagine."
"Should we tell the Capn'?"
"Of course... You go tell him. I'll keep watching."

____________________________________________________________

The large, doubled doors with green moss growing on them bust open, Marcus coming in. Marcus was one of the newer members of his Crew, and had not learned his Place, his Loyalty, or the Captains Privacy. He barely even looked that Undead... His African skin was completely covered in scars, that was about it other than the fact that his eyes were white and pitiless. He hopped a little forward, "Captain Valentine! Theirs a- *Pow!* Ow!" Marcus took a step back as a bullet hit his shoulder. Outside the door, Crew members laughed as they passed it. "God-... What was that for?!"
A figure was laying on the bed of his Cabin. It was rather simple. A bed, a trunk at the end of it, a table with assorted foods, a wardrobe, a desk with some parchment and ink, and a rack with one sword and two pistols. At the bottom of the rack was a couple of kegs of gunpowder. The entire room was brown, everything in it made out of some kind of wood. The figures face was blocked by it's crossed feet, and the Flintlock in it's hand had smoke coming out of it. He dropped the Pistol, sitting up a little bit. "Master Marcus... You are new here, yes?"
"... Yes Capn'."
"Then what, makes you think that it's okay for you to barge into here like that? Didn't even knock..."
"Well... There is something outside you should know about Capn'... It's pretty important."
"Important enough to wake me up?"
"... Yes Capn'. Pirates."
Immediately, the figure sat up. He looked at Marcus for a minute, and then a sly grin appeared on his face. He hopped down from the bed, walking over to the table. He grabbed a long, gray jacket and through it on over his shirt. He buckled a belt around with a Pistol on one side and a cutlass on other, and put the second pistol inside his Jacket. Marcus watched him, a bit uneasy, as the figure picked up an Apple from the table and walked over to Marcus. He handed it to him. "My apologies, Master Marcus... That is rather important."
The figure walked outside of the Cabin, letting Marcus shut the door behind him as he also left, munching happily on the Apple. Everyone outside was on one the right side of the ship, looking out into the ocean at the ship in the distance. One of them turned, saw him and shouted out "Captain on Deck!" Everyone immediately turned, raising there hands up and shouting out joyfully. They didn't really have a lot of formalities, and had never learned a salute or a bow... So this passed as one. The Captain smiled, bowed his own head and then raised back up, putting his black hat on top of his hair. He turned, looking at the ship for a moment. He turned back to his Crew. "Master Red?"
"Here, Sir!"
One of the party came out of the crowd. It's face was a skull, donning Long Red hair coming out underneath a black bandanna, but it's body was a green colored mess, and probably the tallest and biggest built out of all of them. Red was the ships Quartermaster, and pretty much the First Mate. He led the Crew into battle when boarding another ship. "Red, get them ready." The Skeleton nodded, smiling
"Alright you lazy bones! You heard him! Jake, Rick, Bruce, get the rifles! Neal, Stephen, go down and tell them to load the Cannons! Marcus... Were did you get an apple? Nevermind, Marcus take everyone else and get a Sword or Pistol! All of you, get you're things right now! WE'RE FIXING TO BOAAAAAAAAARD! As he said this, the entire ship yelled out in glee, running around as they prepared. Gabriel Valentine smiled and slowly walked up to the Quarter Deck, going to the Ship's official wheel man. This was of course the Captains job, but he preferred to be moving around the ship, so appointed someone else to do it for him. The person had most of his skin showing, and it's face was obviously from some Island, even if it was rotting. It had shoulder link Black Hair. Gabriel spoke to him "Master Tai... You know what to do. I think the left side would be best, thank you." Tai nodded, turning the wheel. Gabriel looked down at him. "Master... Tai. Would you prefer another stick? That one looks a bit uncomfortable..." Tai shook his head. "I'm half a body on a pole that spends all day driving a ship... I'm always uncomfortable Captain Valentine." Gabriel looked at him for a moment, then walked off. He looked at the ship in the distance. Something about it was giving him a strange feeling... But he waved it off. It was just another band of Pirates after all... Right?

"Cap'n! Cap'n! CAP'N!" yelled a panicking sailor as he scrambled up the quarter deck of the pearl, nearly running head first into Barbossa. "What, what, what is it ya annoying Dog?!" responded the Captain. "Looks like we 'ave attackers 'ein our way! and i don' think you'll like what you see!" said the man worriedly as he handed Barbossa his spyglass. he extended it, and looked towards the port bow of the ship, spotting a large galleon heading their way...wait. not a galleon....a massive Carrack. "They be sailin a bleedin' Carrack" said Barbossa. closer inspection showed him the crew. "No...no....not again...not after the trouble i suffered with that gold...NO" he said as he closed the spyglass, puting it in his coat pocket and pushing aside the sailor who was holding the wheel. "All hands! Full canvas and arm the guns! don't let 'em on board or we'll be goin back ta the locker!" he called. the crew rushed to their stations, the gunports opening as the cannons were brought out, armed and ready as the ship's sails were spread out, preparing to take on the attacker. the opponent was sailing a much older ship. the Pearl had the speed advantage, and she was slightly larger, though that wouldn't help much here. Barbossa turned the wheel, pulling the ship away from the attackers and arching around, getting into a position where they could no longer turn to approach, the ships slowly closing in on eachother...

James shrugged, not liking the conversation's current topic. he contemplated going to his quarters and playing his guitar for a bit...

Gabriel almost instantly noticed what there ship was doing, and motioned to Tai, who started to pull the ship hard left before they charged a line of Cannons. He kept pulling it until the ship was lined up against the other one, if still behind it. Gabriel didn't really believe in Cannons... He spoke to Tai. "Master Tai, if you would, get us close enough to board." Tai nodded, and started to gain speed on the Pearl, getting closer and closer to the ship.

As the Pearl steered into the wind, the ship gained speed, allowing them to navigate behind the ship. "FIRE THE GUNS!" yelled Barbossa from the quarter deck as he steered the black ship, the cannons booming in a chain of shots as the Pearl raked the ghost ship, cannonballs ripping into the back of the Carrack, tearing through the hull and going out the other side, destroying glass, doors, the bases of masts, crew and all manner of other objects as the lethal volley ripped through one end and out the other. "Ye won't be gettin me that easily ya bags o'rotting flesh!" yelled Barbossa as he directed his ship forward, making use of the damage caused to the enemy ship and it's direction to allow him to get a jump start. "Charge the stern guns with chain shot!" he called, several crew members rushing towards the guns with the lethal ammunition...

Red ducked down as a Cannonball whizzed past his head, wincing as he saw it tear through someones leg that was standing on the stairs. Immediately, several Crew members ran to catch him, trying to nail on something for a temporary leg as the rest of them tried to dodge incoming fire. At the Wheel Gabriel stood next to Tai, his bones cracking into a smile. A low, creaking, moaning sound was heard as the Cannon fire ripped through the ship. Gabriel looked down, putting a skinless hand on the railing. It'll be okay, my sweet...

He took his hand off and started to walk down the stairs. Red got up, shouting at Marcus who standing at one of the stairs to inside the ship. Red yelled at him. "FIRE!" Marcus nodded, looked down and shouted inside the ship "Fire!" ... It took a moment for Red to realize nothing was happening. He looked over at Marcus angrily. "Si... Sir! We have no front guns!"

Red cursed under his breath, then looked up at Gabriel. Gabriel nodded, and Red stood tall, shouting out in voice loud enough to be heard below, over the Cannons that were still flying into the ship "CURSE THE GUNS! EVERYONE, ON DECK! CLIMB THE MASTS, GET TO THE RAILS! GRAB THE ROPES! PREPARE TO BOARD!"

Marcus jumped back as Undead Pirates started to flood to the top level, looking around frantically for the ship they were about to board. They saw it front of them, and Tai drove the ship towards it. Gabriel looked at the Ship... It would not be easy as ramming into it. This Captain knew how to avoid someone. In there current state, one more Volley would leave them stranded. He motioned for Tai to stop, who did.

Red looked up at him "Captain Valentine! ... Are we not going to pursue them?" Gabriel looked down at him, then back up at the fleeing ship. He did not know if it had Rear guns, but decided to do it. He turned to Tai. "Master Tai, get us right behind that ship and go full speed, if you please."

Tai looked at him for a moment. "Capn'... One of our Masts is about to fall over. If they have Rear guns... We're dead."
Gabriel looked at him angrily. "Yes, well we're already dead. Now go, Master Tai."
Tai nodded hesitantly and placed the ship behind the other, speeding as fast as he could to it. Gabriel knew the other was faster and they could not catch up, but he had a plan. Below, crew members looked up nervously at the creaking Masts.

"Cap'n! they're still after' us!" yelled a crew member. "I know that! fire the stern chasers!" Barbossa yelled. a couple of booms were heard as 4 cannon balls, each two connected by chains, hurtled towards the pursuing ship. on slammed into the deck inches from the captain while the other tore through the base of the main mast, the tallest of the ship's masts now left with no support to keep it standing, causing it to creak and lean to one side as it began to splinter and break, the crew still on it left to fall into the ocean, their boney forms more likely than not condemned to sink 40 thousand leagues to the sea floor, to be condemned to the agonising, crushing pressure of the sea's depths...

"She's a good girl for you Admiral..almost too good. Her beauty..Oh how the other sailors wish too even get close to her..even for just a few seconds. You two would be perfect..we all know her attraction to you thats why the others try to stay away..they dont need their own Admiral having a grudge against them" John looked towards his good friend..a good English Soldier. The Admiral almost laughed..it was funny in a way but..then again, things were rather peaceful at the moment. He hasnt seen a pirate in some time and was rather bored..he did enjoy fighting but disliked the lost of men that followed..each soldier that served under him was important. The Guardian continued to sail through the sea with its escorts through the clear open skies..

Gabriel watched as the Mast tilted to side, nearly snapping off into the Ocean. Four Crew Members started to dangle for a while until they fell down in the Sea next to the Ship, there bodies plunging down under like Rocks. Red grabbed a rope and ran to the side, throwing it over as other Crew members tried to grab something. Two of the submerged heads came up, grabbing onto the rope as they helped each other pull up. The other two also came up, grabbing onto the other ropes the Crew had thrown over. Gabriel looked at Tai, who bit his lip. "Capn'... We're going to have to stop... We need to pull off now before the Mast falls and we're stuck here for a day fixing it!"
Down below, Red had his feet on the railing, pulling up the two Crew members onto the ship. This was one of the reasons he was First Mate... He stood about two feet taller than everyone else on the ship, was stronger than even the Captain, and even in his long years of life his Immense Strength remained. His nickname would have probably been something like "Ogre" if his Red hair hadn't stayed. He looked up at Gabriel, shouting. "Captain Valentine! ... What are we doing?!" Gabriel thought about it for a moment. He wasn't about to let a ship get away... They obviously saw what they were.
"Master Red... Could we track them down?"
"I don't see how, Capn'... We're about to loose sight of them."
Gabriel sighed again, bringing a bony hand up as he rubbed his eye sockets. "Break off..."
"... Capn'?"
"I said break off... All of you! Start moving that wood back in place! Tai... Stop the ship."

Adeline frowned and decided to change the subject to something more cheery. "You know, I would like to hear you on your guitar again. That would be music to my ears." Baron opened one eye and lifted his head. He looked curiously at the new strangers, and peered up at the human who was holding him.

James smirked. "For you, i'd make the whales in the deepest ocean fly with the birds" he said as he left to get the guitar. the crew had long since learned not to try and comment or even think anything of the Captain's more intimate side, as one particular crew member had learned that anything that would anger him or Adeilne over it brought out an even more brutal side to him than normal...

it wasn't long before James was out again, his guitar on his lap as he sat on a barrel on the deck. "Any requests?"...

Adeline smirked and simply said, "Surprise me, dear Captain." She was looking forward to hearing James play on his guitar. She loved the beautiful tunes it created, and loved how his fingers played on the strings of the well crafted instrument. The puppy in her hands tilted his head and made what sounded like a yelp. Adeline chuckled at Baron's cute sound and stroked his fur.

"You know Admiral...many of the crew believe we should change the Guardian's name to Invinicible...quite a fitting a name considering I believe we have the largest and most powerful ship in the seas. We're ountouchable...our status as the main power is assured" The sailor looked towards the Admiral who gave a mild grin in response and then chuckled. John looked towards Port Royal. "We havent done anything in some time...no pirates...hell I wouldnt mind an attack or a raid...slay a couple of pirates, show off" John joked.
"We'll all confident...we got good reason but sir, you of course have everything at the moment. You have your power...wealth...all you need is a certain woman and your life wishes have been filled" The sailor responded who looked towards the numerous Royal Navy Warships that remained docked on the Carribean Island.
John looked from the deck, towards the port while the massive First Rate-Ship of the Line remained docked. The strong eyes of the Admiral rested on the woman he just escorted here. He couldnt deny his love for her yet...things could get better. He wanted a bigger picture and a better future and it was obvious there was still threats in the seas.
"Things will change...dont worry, things will start heating up all over again.." John patted his friend on the shoulder before walking elsewhere, intent on finding something to do.

The next day Storm stepped onto the ship and immediately started barking orders. "Raise anchor, full canvas, set a course for the Mexican Islands," she commanded. Cosimo sighed and took his place at the helm. "Take care, Godspeed, bon voyage, and good luck!" Paris called from the beach. "Let's go," Storm said to Cosimo.

James thought for a moment, beginning to pluck at the strings, finally getting an idea, beginning to strum. the crew soon picked up on the tune, and began to work in tune with it, as the ship sailed towards the French colonies...
