when james heard of the british ship, he looked through his spyglass to the starboard side of his ship, and spotted an 80 gun warship. James broke away from the fleet and went into a line formation with the starboard broadsides facing the enemy's bow. the Dauntless was behind hem. they fired, over 70 cannonballs launched from the ships, almost all hitting their target. it paid to have so many ex navy crew. they feared James more than the crown, and did what he told them. once the enemy ship got close, James broke the formation and moved away from it, appearing to be escaping, but, he turned around and came up behind the enemy ship, and fired a broadside into the stern, raking it and killing the captain. James watched as all the other ships in the squadron were manouvering and firing, Adeline coming in front of the ship and raking it from her side. 4 shots went through the bow of the british ship and went out the back, hitting the Pearl. James yelled "Stop blowin' 'oles in my ship!", though he knew they wouldn't hear him. James watched as the Barbarian came up to the target, and the Dauntless firing broadside after broadside after deadly broadside into the enemy's starboard side. he then noticed something: the Rotten Monkey wasn't there. he looked at the Rotten Monkey as it sailed away behind them. James disengaged and followed them. he did it once, he could do it again. he set full sail on the Black Pearl, and ran out every gun that they had, including swivel guns. the Pearl gained on them, and James noticed that they were running out their guns. no matter. the Black Pearl was strong enough to resist their shots. the strongest guns they had were 18 pounders, and the Black Pearl would need at least 20 pounders to penestate the hull. the Rotten Monkey could either surrender or go down to Davy Jones' locker.....

The Dauntless fired a full broadside into the british ship, the lower deck's cannons all penetrating the brit's hull, and killing over 80 men. The british ship raised the white flag of surrender, and Nathaniel boarded the ship, asking "Where's the captain? Who's in charge?". A large, muscular man came to him and said "The captain is dead. I am in charge.". Nathaniel said "I'll give you 2 choices. 1, you join our fleet and serve our commander, James Sparrow, loyally. 2, you stay here and remain against us, and die with any other men not willing to pledge their loyalty to him, and blow up along with the ship. make your choice. Nathaniel waited for an answer...

Meanwhile, Adeline had gone with her 2 friends after the Rotten Monkey, with the Black Pearl getting very close to them. Will and Elizabeth were on board the Pearl, in one of the safest places; a hidden safe room inside the captain's cabin, with 3 solid iron walls protecting them from behind, and at both sides. They would be safe. James was nearly on the side of the Rotten Monkey, and yelled "Barbossa! Surrender, or suffer a sinking!". Barbossa replied "At least you ain't completely like your father! He would've negotiated, rather than attack me! Ye'll have to fight me!". James had all the extra sails put up, increasing the ship's speed even more. Soon he was on the enemy's side, with there pathetic guns firing cannonballs that simply bounced off the side of the ship. James began to fire, his foremost guns firing into the enemy. The heavy 24 pounder guns that were on the bottom deck ripped through the enemy's hull like a musket ball through wet parchment [a bullet through a wet paper]. The upper guns made some damage, but didn't penetrate all the way. The Red Dawn and the Barbarian were closing in. Yuke was getting close to the Rotten Monkey's starboard side, and Adeline was behind it, firing at the stern with her chase guns...

Adeline concentrated on The Rotting Monkey and ordered her men to fire with the chase guns. "Don't let him get away! Shoot now!"

Men were running and shooting, trying to get the guns ready with the next ball. They covered their ears when they prepared to fire. It was loud.

The woman watched the action. They were doing at least some damage to the stern. She will not stop until either Barbossa surrenders or when James gives out the orders to stop.

James drew his blade, and his pistol, then yelled "Barbossa! this is your last warning! unless you stop, we'll board your ship and take it over!". James knew that he was the only way they could get to World's End safely. they would have to avoid killing him. Adeline, Yuke and the crews aboard all 3 ships knew very well that they couldn't kill him. Barbossa yelled "Ive told ya before, James! Ye'll have ta fight me!". James ordered another broadside be fired into the enemy ship. he yelled "Barbossa! are you sure you want to do that? have you thought about what your men want?! look behind ya!". Barbossa turned around to see 50 men with swords drawn, mutiny in their eyes. James yelled "now, you have one more chance! surrender, or face your mutinous crew as you made my father do!". he watched as Barbossa backed away from the crew, draw his sword to be met with 10 more against him, then said "Alright, alright! just get these murderous skallywags away from me!". James sent Rafael to take care of it. Rafael went aboard and he watched the crew tremble as he went on board. he grabbed Barbossa by his coat, and dragged him across, and lock him in the brig of the Black Pearl. James said "who's the First Mate here?". a large man by the name of Jack Black said "that'd be me, Cap'n.". James said "if you like, your free to go. if youd rather join us, your welcome to do so.". the Crew, made up of mostly young men who still saw adventure in life at sea, agreed to go with James. Jack said "it seems the crew wants to join ye, Cap'n, so i say i join ye as well, if ye'll accept me as the cap'n of this ship.". James nodded and said "welcome, Jack.". then he went to the stern of the Pearl to see the Dauntless sailing towards them, with the british ship following behind. apparently, Nathaniel managed to pursuede the british First Mate to join them. their fleet was enormous. James wondered how they would fair against a fleet of british warships....

"The crew will grow mutinous if we keep doing this, and it will slow us down," spoke Adeline, sharing her thoughts to Yuke and James. "Also, the supplies will run low. We would have to go to get more food and rum."

James nodded in agreement. "we'll sell the latest 2 ships. the Rotten Monkey and this new british ship. both will be sold at New Redmond port. it's about a day's sailing at this speed. when we arrive, we'll take care of everything involving our ships. now, is there anything else?".

my last post for today.

It was a boring day, sailing out for New Remond. The crew were working, but they were indeed bored. They didn't speak a word to each other as they worked along. It was dead silent.

Adeline was surveying the scene with tired eyes. She was leaning against the wheel and steering it rather boredly. There was nobody to shout orders at, so far. Everyone was doing their work.

The day turned out to be very foggy and glumy as they sailed. Probably that's why there's so much silence and so much boredum...

[maybe we could change that bored, bored, bored problem...]

James said "let's get to New Redmond first, then we can...". he was cut off when Rafael charged in, franticly saying "Cap'n! Cap'n! Cap'n!". James looked at him, and said "yes Gibbs?". Gibbs said "Nine Tails is planning a revolt! he's managed to turn about 12 men on the Rotten Monkey against you already! he's planning to cause a full scale mutiny!". James made a sound that was almost ferral, as he said "where is he?". Gibbs said "on the Rotten Monkey ,trying to turn more men against you!". James got out of his seat, armed himself and told Yuke and Adeline to get ready for a fight. he said "Gibbs. call Rafael to me. we'll need him if we want to finish this quickly.". Gibbs nodded and left. James walked out on deck and told the men to arm the guns without exposing them, to be ready to fire if Nine Tails managed to turn the entire crew on the Rotten Monkey against them. it was all done as quiet as possible, to avoid any attention from the Mutineers. when everything was ready, James asked Gibbs if anymore crew had joined Nine Tails. Gibbs said "No, Cap'n. they're all too afraid of you to do that. it sent shivers down me spine when i heard of what you did to Nine Tails. i'm surprised to see the son of a Pirate act like that. stricter than a Royal Navy Admiral, you are!". James smiled, and continued "who are the crew members who have turned against me?". Gibbs said "well, there's Nine Tails, o'Course. there's Henry Aufort, a French midget that has a short temper. not too good with a weapon. he's usually the guy who cleans the ship up afterwards. then there's One Eyed Will. he's a pirate to the bone and wants nothing more than to run you through, though he's not that good with weapons, if he hits you once, it'll probably take a limb off. and you've got Bucho, a big stupid brute that cant even talk right. he's probably the kind of guy to pound a man into the ground with his hands. then there's..." continued Gibbs. after he had described the 7 men who really wanted the mutiny, James looked at everyone in the room, and said "be ready for a fight. i have a feeling that is exactly what we're going to face. after we're done, the surviving who the turned crew will be given 10 lashes each with the Cat o' Nine Tails, then tied to the anchor, and drowned one by one.". everyone in the room felt a shudder run down their spines when they heard the way James would carry out the punishment. James asked "Any questions?". he waited for a response...

There was no response. Adeline readied her pistols and her rapier. She firmly held the hilt of it, ready to face the mutinous crew. Her mind was turning though, with what James had just said. The punishment seemed too cruel for the mutinous crew. "James, may I suggest that we strand the mutinous crew on an island instead, leaving them with only but one pistol to kill themselves with?...not one pistol each though." She awaited his or Yuke's response to her suggestion.

"well, look what happened to Barbossa for doing that. true he was the Mutineer, along with the crew, but the same thing would happen under a certain set of circumstances." said James. it was obvious that he had just crossed that idea off the mental list of options. James said "anything else? Yuke? Gibbs? Rafael?". Gibbs and Rafael didn't say a thing. James now waited for anything Yuke would have to say...

i would say we punish them all 1 by one each on a diffrent way
like:nine tails getting whiped till he cries to get shot
The brute leave him with rafeal in a room for a while and then hang him
...
after Yuke tolled all kinds of cruel ways he waited response

James said "well, those are some very good ideas, Yuke. but, we need it to be in front of the crew, to show them what happens to Mutineers under our command. if you haven't got any very good ideas that would make the crew fear crossing us even more, i think we should stick to the original plan.". Yuke nodded, and James said "or, better still, we could do the original plan to the mutineers, but with 20 lashes if they decide to fight, and 5 lashes if they surrender, and flog Nine Tails, the leader, 50 times, then, after making sure he's really bleeding, keelhaul him to feed to the sharks.". everyone squirmed when they heard that exceptionally cruel punishment for the leader. James said "let's go.", then lead the group over to the Rotten Monkey, and entered a room Gibbs told them was where Nine Tails was rallying troups. sure enough, Nine tails and 20 others were inside a blocked off section of the deck. James said calmly "mutineers are not welcome aboard one of our ships. you can surrender, or be killed. the ones who surrender should step back, and the ones who wish to lose their lives, should step forward.". the group split in half, with 10 men and Nine Tails stepping forward, and another 10 stepping back. James drew his sword, and his small group of fighters behind him, including Yuke, Adeline and the 2 broadsword wielding Rafael. James noticed an extra 40 men standing behind him, swords drawn, ready to fight. looking at them, he could tell it was his own loyal crew. James heard movement from the mutineers, and whipped his face back to see the enemy group had shrunken to 3 fighters and 18 half hearted mutineers. James smiled then said "it seems your men arent as brave as you thought they were. i don't blame them. 45 men against 21 is a very difficult fight for you. 45 against 4 is even worse. why not just surrender and reduce the pain?". Nine tails looked around him, then said "i don't care how many you are. i'll fight every last one of you, and kill you all!". at that, the last 3 of his men, Aufort, Will and Bucho, all stepped down, seeing their leader was absolutely crazy. James couldn't help laughing as he said "Rafael, lock them all up. the men who surrendered will get a weaker punishment. Nine tails, however, will be given 50 lashes with his namesake instrument of punishment, then keelhauled while bleeding to feed the sharks.". Nine tails lunged and James moved his sword, blocking the hit just in time. he then pointed a pistol in Nine Tails' face, and said "Rafael, make it 60 lashes.". Rafael moved up, hit Nine Tails over the head, and told 2 men to through him into one of the special cells on the BlackPearl, so that he was too far from the other men to do any damage. the other men were given 5 lashes each, instead of 20. James made a point of letting all the prisoners know this, so that they wouldn't think he was just plain evil. after everyone was properly punished, James walked up to the last prisoner, Nine Tails himself, and said "you brought this onto yourself, Nine Tails. you proved to me that you aren't worth mercy. if your lucky, the sharks will get you before Davy Jones does.". Rafael then led Nine Tails to the familiar crane that he had been tied to last time, and flogged 60 times, each strike feeling like a line of burning daggers put into his back and sides. Rafael made sure to strike extra hard, actually hurting Nine Tails' thick, punished back. after he was bleeding severely, Rafael tied one end of a very long rope to the bowsprit and the other end to Nine Tails' leg, then lifted him and threw him overboard. James stood by Rafael as he did so, then turned around, walked to the stern of the ship, and yelled, loudly enough for the men on the Dauntless, Rotten Monkey, Barbarian, Red Dawn and Defiance[the british ship] to hear him. "that, getlemen is the punishment given to all mutineers. if i find even one of you doing something like Nine Tails did, that will be your punishment, with an extra, depending on what is most dear, sensitive, and precious to you. your weakspot, what ever it is. if anyone trys to cross me again, god help him!". after that, he looked over the stern as the ship sailed over the now drowning Nine Tails, and watched as a small trail of blood went from about 2 meters away from the rudder. then it stopped. when a shark attacked, the bleeding would increase. James went white, knowing what could be right underneath him. he called Rafael and said "pull in the rope! let me see the traitor!". when Rafael pulled it in, nothing was there. "he's not here, Captain!". James cursed under his breath...

Adeline didn't feel comfortable about the punishment, but she didn't show it. She watched with unemotional eyes as the traitor got thrown overboard only to be fed by the sharks. His screams of pain echoed as he was thrown over the ship. She noticed that James had gone white, but didn't know why. What could he be fearing?

Then Rafael pulled the rope. Nothing. His body was gone. What could this all mean?

And then it hit her. What if Davy Jones took the body? He could be using Nine Tails to be part of the crew.

For a while, there was silence on all three ships. The men were staring at the bodyless rope. Some were whispering in fear on what James had just done.

Adeline spoke at last to break the silence. But it was to James. "What is it?"

"My father and Will's are or were underneath us. Nine Tails' body disappeared and the blood trailing from him did to. i'm almost dead sure the Flying Dutchman was sailing underneath us just a few minutes ago. they may still be under us, getting ready to sink us!" said James. he knew that Davy Jones still wanted to get James' father, even though Jack was already dead. seeing as James looked almost identicle to his father, if Davy Jones saw him, he would chase James to the ends of the earth...

Adeline swore silently, then heard Yuke. She nodded in agreement. "Let's get back to our ships and set full sail to New Redmond. She glanced up at the sky for a minute. The fog cleared and the sky was now filled with a light blue mixed with pure white clouds. All the captains went back to their rightful ships to set sail for New Redmond.
