The Gorilla raised a large fist and punched the leaper before it could make contact with it's shoulder. The bony plates that were on the fist protected it from injury, while also ensuring that the blow was harder to the leaper, which now hit the ground hard...

Jack heard a thunk to his left and his eyes glanced over, seeing a small stone hit the wall. He watched it fall to the ground, and then slowly without moving his body, turned his head from where the trajectory would have come from. There he saw a blond haired man, dressed completely in black.

Jack sighed heavily inside his mask, then slowly reached out of the window, grasping onto the stone wall outside with a gloved hand. He leaned outside, looking to the right and then the left even slower. He saw no Undead, and based on the way the man was dressed, The desperate and running didn't tend to look so sharp, he would probably have something of use on him. Of course, Jack had run into other people before, but he just kept them around until he needed to trip them or steal something off of them. He considered inviting the man and robbing him. He didn't need anybody's help to survive.

Still, the man had a certain... Look, about him. He was standing in the street, seemed unafraid of the peril he had to know would soon be around him, and above all, he just looked so confident and clean. Jack knew the look. Like Jack, he was what he needed to be. A survivor. This man knew what to do to survive. He didn't have Jack's rugged, musty, dirty look though. He probably had some sort of safe house.

All this information swirled through Jack's mind as he tried to decide what to do. After a while, he made his decision. Jack wasn't going to go out into the streets without knowing for certain the man had a place to go. So, he slipped off his backpack, starting to move various objects around inside, then pulled out a long rope. He walked over to the window, throwing it out so that it reached the ground outside, then tied it to one of the kitchen table legs. He looked down at the man.

Then he stuck his gloved hand out, and slowly, almost creepily, made a 'come here' gesture with his index finger.

The Leaper felt his back connect with the ground and roared in pain, before scrambling up and slithering away with his tail slashing wildly behind him in an attempt to keep any pursuers away. This food was too hard to kill.

The Gorilla bellowed victoriously at the retreating enemy, then turned to where it had seen the reaper and noticed that it was gone. It quickly noticed that the human was gone as well and snarled in irritaion before heading off to find a zombie that would be easy to kill, for even another zombie was better than nothing...

Vergil quickly moved across the street, having used a small mirror he had kept handy in one of his pockets to check both sides of the street for undead before leaving the alley. he had his backpack on him, and all he needed, though the supplied he had managed to stockpile thus far were mostly back at his safehouse-freezer. he heaved himself up the rope and in a matter of minutes, was climbing through the window, the rope wrapped around his leg, having pulled it up as he climbed. "surprised to see i'm not the only survivor" he said, eying the gas mask wearing man. at one point he had considered shooting him under the pretence of mistakening his masked appearance as him being a zombie, seeing as gas masks had long since stopped being used through the outbreak...

Jack took a step back and stood there, hands in Hoodie pockets, being stone silent and stone still as he always did. After a while considering what to say, he replied rather softly "Then you must not have been in this city long my friend. I've seen plenty of others. All got devoured by the beasts. But I've seen them."

He noticed the pack on his back, and behind the mask he smirked slightly.
Good, he thought. Man has got something to rob. He slowly took out both hands of his Hoodie pockets, raising them over his head.

"And just so we're clear my friend," he lied to the man "I have no weapons whatsoever... I'm Jack. Who are you?"

"Or perhaps it was just my luck that i rarely came across another survivor....been here ever since the outbreak started...met a few guys...lost them to the zombies...thought of leaving the city, but decided against it. without a decently fast and resilient vehicle, going out of the city limits would be suicide" said Vergil. he looked around at the surroundings, the room somewhat messy and yet empty of really useful supplies. "Name's Vergil....Did you by chance call for help earlier? or was that another survivor who ran out of luck?" he asked, ignoring the mention of weapons. he'd long since learned that the term 'no weapons' didn't exist. anything and everything could be used as a weapon. the only issue was how effective it would be...

Jack cocked his head slightly to the side. By now, he would have flat out creeped out a normal person. Not that he considered this man normal. He wore a black Trench Coat. "... Jack. It's not that hard to find someone who can hotwire a car my friend. I suppose it would be a bothersome to keep them alive while they do it though..."

Without another word, he slowly strode past him and went to the window. He lifted a long arm, extending a finger down the street. "No, that scream came from that way. I presume someone was devoured. I was actually soon headed on my way to see if anything of use was there." Jack didn't mention the fact that he had all the time in the world to save the Survivor, but chose to stay there and listen to his screams instead.

"Looks like we share similar goals, my friend. i WAS going to loot the corpse after the zombies were done with him...plenty of time to do that provided he doesn't get up and randomly walk off" said Vergil simply. this man was odd, but he could relate to him. life had made Vergil cold. life in this apocalyptic hell hole had made him colder. as far as he was conscerned, survivors were only tools to help him survive. "The problem with the cars isn't hotwiring them. I've had enough basic mechanical training to be able to do it myself. the thing is, all the cars that could possibly be of use are either in bad condition or trapped in the middle of a mess of vehicles and impossible to get out"...

Charles shrugged, studying his weapon intently. He wondered if there was anything else worth finding within the station...the room with the beds was the best defended from what he could see, because of what Alec and the newcomer did with the barricades. From their search last night, there were no more zombies inside...hopefully they could find supplies that would enable them to stay there as long as possible.

After getting to a location he deemed safe,The Leaper climbed onto the nearest building and focused on his incredibly powerful ears, searching for the faintest sound of a survivor...

Jack simply replied "Either way it could be done. Myself, I see no reason to leave the city. I trust these walls more than I do the wilderness."

He stood there for what seemed like a full minute, not saying anything nor moving. "Would you care to join me in 'saving', what is left of the man?"

The Leaper growled as he continued to walk on,practically starving from all the days of not getting a good meal.If it weren't for the lack of imagination,he could imagine a plump and juicy survivor in between his jaws, slowly being devoured. He got even more frustrated when he realized it was just his imagination. He stopped his thinking and simply walked on...

Without another word, Jack jumped out the window, his feet practically making no noise as he landed on the ground. He slowly began to walk towards the direction the scream came from, hands in pockets, not even stopping to much to look over his shoulder to see if Virgil was coming.

Taban stopped. He thought he heard talking. Was he going crazy? Or was there really another survivor? He decided to take a gamble, and said, "Hello?" It was not too loud, just the way he would normally say hello. He hadn't had the opportunity to do that for quite a while.

as Vergil walked away from the building, keeping his senses sharp and his gun within reach, he heard a voice calling not far from them. "Hey Jack....hear that? sounds like the guy survived" said Vergil as he walked, surprisingly calmly, despite the apocalyptic state of the world he was now in...

the Reaper was gaining on the human rapidly, moving across rooftops, hunger driving it forward as it approached...it had every intention of leaving with a good meal today...

Jack heard it loud and clear. "Well... That is unfortunate. What are we suppose to do now?"

He was quiet for a moment. "... Help him?" Even with Jack's emotionless voice, the disdain in the words he spoke was obvious.

"Might be helpful...if he doesn't get killed before we get there" said Vergil as he walked...
