James nodded to the first mate, then headed down onto the main deck, and then into the Cabin, Shaheen perched comfortably on the thick oak perch that was placed in the corner, Rainbow landing on Adeline's shoulder. "Hello" squawked Rainbow, in a surprisingly similar tone to that of Storm's first mate Cosimo...

Cosimo heard the squawk and smiled. "Ah how charming," he said and chuckled as he held out a hand toward the parrot. Storm rolled her eyes then turned back to James.

Rainbow cocked his head as he examined Cosimo warily. after a moment of silence, he squawked "Where's the gold? GIMME THE GOLD! RAAAK". the peregrine falcon in the corner simply stared calmly at the newcomers, then at it's companion squawking at one of them. James walked behind his desk and sat down, grabbing ahold of a bottle of rum he'd left there from the previous night, and sipped on what remained...

Cosimo burst out laughing. "You've quite a treasure trove of companions Captain Sparrow," Cosimo said. Storm cleared her throat in annoyance. "Come on, Storm, you have to be charming it might actually help you," Cosimo whispered. "Down to business," Storm said and tipped the shell over and the chain link fell onto the desk.

Adeline followed James, Cosimo, and Storm to the cabin and smiled when Rainbow landed on her shoulder. "Good bird," she murmured before quieting down. She watched Cosimo as he put his finger near Rainbow and grinned at his antics. The grin somewhat disappeared when Storm cleared her throat and seriousness ensured. "Right, business," Adeline said quietly and glanced down at the chain that Storm set on the desk.

"And what's that supposed to-?" said James, as he got up and walked over to the rum cabinet, being cut off by a crew member's voice. "Cap'n! There's a Twister coming!". James walked over to the window with a bottle of rum in hand. Rainbow flew over to James and landed on his shoulder. the sky was darkening startlingly fast...

Adeline heard whimpering and barking at the door and strode over to the entrance to the cabin. She opened the door and closed it quickly after the pup was safely inside. Baron scampered over to the desk and went under it, shaking like a leaf. "Oh no," murmured Adeline and glanced at James worriedly. "How bad is it out there?"

"well let's see...blackish sky, winds making the waves choppy...the only time i ever saw a storm move this fast was the Maelstrom at Shipwreck Cove..." said James thoughtfully. James walked back to the desk calmly and grabbed his navigational equipment, packing it away, pulling the charts out from under the chain link, leaving it to drop on the table, moving the charts to a large chart holder and moving the sextants and compasses to a small container near the weapons locker and closing it, drinking from his bottle all the while as he got rid of the last remnants of his equipment from the desk, leaving the desk almost bare except for the golden chain link...

Storm licked her lips nervously and looked at the chain. Paris had protection, anywhere else was open to Poseidon's eyes. "Well since my ship is also in danger of being capsized, Cosimo go back and take over," she ordered. "Aye captain," Cosimo said marching out of the cabin and swinging back over to the Moondust.

"Excuse me for a moment, ladies. i need to tend to my ship" said James as he walked out of the quarters with Raphael and Nathan, climbing up to the deck. "Full Canvas" he called out. "Get the gunpowder below deck and rope down any loose gear, i don't want people getting run over by stray rum barrels" he told Nathan, who proceeded to give orders, Raphael assisting as James moved the ship starboard, the Reaper twisting out of the way of the storm as the sails spread, the black ship moving away. the storm meanwhile seemed to be twisting slightly in the opposite direction, though the Moondust was still in it's path...

Adeline raised an eyebrow at Storm as she licked her lips nervously. "Problem?" she inquired curiously to the captain. She wondered deeply what the chain was for. "What is the importance of this chain?"

Storm flicked her eyes toward the link then to Adeline then back again. "Do you know of Poseidon's rebellion against Zues?"

Adeline shook her head as an answer to Storm's question. "No, but I am guessing it connects to the chain? Tell me the story, I am interested to know." After Calypso and ghost ships, Adeline was ready to believe what was about to come.

"In a time where a war was beginning to unfold, Poseidon who was always jealous of his brother and hardly ever approved of his methods, convinced the gods to turn on Zues and force him to make war with the Trojans. So they chained him and hid his thunderbolts. The chain was too powerful even for a god to break and rendurs him completely powerless. But eventually he was freed by the goddess Thetis and as punishment, Poseidon was sent to be a slave for the king of Troy," she said. "This chain will also give me my liberation."

Meanwhile Cosimo was barking out orders on the Moondust. "Full canvas, tie her up, make sure everything's secure or I'll make sure you won't be!" he called. He followed close behind the Reaper making sure not to bump into it, but just enough to be safe.

Adeline observed the chain. "Is that the whole thing? It looks rather small." Her dog was still hiding under the desk, not wanting to come out until the storm was over.

Storm chuckled. "No the rest of the chain is hidden," she said. "Cast down to earth tp never be used again, that is why I'm asking for the compass."

"Ah, maybe James and I can help you find the other parts?" Adeline figured that it would be nice to help a fellow pirate captain. "I mean, right after this storm goes away...if it ever does." She heard Baron's whispers and called the pup's name gently, trying to coax him out of hiding. The puppy eventually came to Adeline's side and she picked him up.

despite the moon dust moving at full speed, the Reaper was still pulling away, it's infamous sister ship's legacy having granted her speed beyond that of any other ship known. as the storm neared, the waves began to turn choppy, the Reaper's larger hull keeping it more or less safe, though the splashes at the bow were causing the waves to get higher and higher as the storm's influence grew more powerful...

Cosimo licked his lips in irratation, they were falling behind. "Come on, sweetheart you gotta keep up," he whispered. Almost as if his prayer had been answered the shp actually started to speed up. "Atta girl," he whispered again.

Adeline sat in a chair with Baron on her lap. She stroked the dog's fur as she looked out of the window and sighed. She didn't like storms that much, and hoped that it would go away soon. She vaguely wondered when James was going to come back in the quarters, but knew that he had to command his crew. That man, she thought and smiled at the thought of him.
