finally, after several attempts, a link came up. he connected, attempting to contact the creature. "Do you realise what will happen if you awaken the evil ones?"...

Osiris replied "Well what did you expect me to do? Ask him nicely not to tear my head off and throw it down a volcano? Wait... I'm picking up a signal. I'm gonna go talk to him." Osiris leapt to the side suddenly, manvouring behind the dragon before diving forward and tackling him, knocking the dragon to to the ground, the spikes scrapping his armour as he brushed off them, causing parts of it to be revealed. He eventually managed to stamp down on the cyborgs back, kneeling next to it and forcing its head into the sand with his hand, pinning it. The Duvan'rah slowly materialised, connecting to the dragon and sending it a message "Hi"

"You realise that by awakening the darker souls of the Ark you will utterly destroy this planet?" responded Horus calmly, deciding it best not to try and struggle for now, as it would only imply even greater hostility when the best possible solution to this would be reasoning. if needed however, he would break free...

Osiris turned one of his claws, scrapping across the dragons head until it latched into the wound created by the railgun shot. He replied "Why would I want to do that? From what I've seen, these brothers of mine can be quite bothersome at times."

Horus cringed at the feeling caused by Osiris' claws. "Then why do you attack me? we strive for the same goals!" he responded through the instant messenger system linking them...

Osiris replied, keeping the grip firm "Because, guardian, I am free and regardless of the threat I pose to you or this planet, I am not going to be locked away for eternity!"

"Why would you be locked away if you're as against their revival as i am? if you're against them, then you are among the ones who i have promised my protection to, you're among the ones who i have seen for millenia as Allies to be assisted when i get the chance" responded Horus, utterly surprised by the misunderstanding he was now caught in...

Osiris paused, surprised before replying back angrily "You just told us your purpose was to ensure WE never came into existence! "

"My purpose was to make sure the evil ones are never revived, by any means nessecary. the ones who mean no harm are the ones who requested this. you may not remember it, but you are among the ones who asked of me to prevent the evil ones' revival! it didn't extend onto you and others who had peaceful intentions!" responded Horus, attempting to clarify what he had said earlier...

Osiris replied simply "I don't believe you." He was convinced at first, but when the dragon mentioned that HE, Osiris, had asked for his aid, it seemed like a lie.

"Your beliefs are your own. but if you are against the revival of the darker souls of the Ark, then you are with the ones who gave me the duties i now strive to fulfill. you may not have voiced it, but if you conciously don't wish to revive the darker souls of the Duvan'Rah, then you can be considered among the good ones among them" responded Horus...

Placentra said, after listeng to the arguments of both sides, "Do the evil souls out number the good...and..what was I- my species before I became a Duvan'Rah, or was I simply created this way..part of the Ark?" Placentra surfaced again, on Osiris' arm, trekking across his clawed fingers and onto Horus' back, tendrils latching onto the flesh, anchoring him down as he took slow steps across the monster. He then turned to face Osiris, hands pressed together, the bio armor around his chest spreading apart, small tenticals wrapped around a spherical silver object, some bits missing and scratches on it, with a black oval etched into it with a cyan crystal like object in the center. It looked like an eye. "Is this where my life force is derived, my fragment?"

"Assuming what happened and the nature of the event, i guess that the good ones were outnumbered. in an effort to stop the evil ones from taking over and commiting the atrocities that they knew would follow, they self destructed the Ark, splitting all the souls within from eachother. as for what you were before, i really don't know...but i know enough to say that the race that made the Ark were the Duvan'Rah, and that the souls within are of the Duvan'Rah" responded Horus through the wireless link...

Osiris messaged Placentra privately "Be careful with that..."

After a momment or two of thought, Osiris relaxed his grip slightly and asked "So... I was once an organic being? Of flesh and bone?"

"It's only logical that the souls all had their own bodies. i'd assume at one time both of you, as well as the two parts on your back, would each have had seperate bodies. living, breathing, organic ones" growled Horus...

"So what drove us to do this to our selves?!" Placentra asked, a little angry now. He felt as if he was cheated out of life and his memories of his past.

"That's something i don't know. I was honestly hoping that one of the good Duvan'Rah would be able to answer the questions i have...if i ever got a chance to ask them" responded Horus...

Osiris stood up, finally releasing Horus. He responded "Well thank heavens that I ain't them. Anything that happened in the past can stay in the past if you ask me."

Placentra replied "What ever drove us to do this to our selves...I had no problem with it before..and I can remember anything about my past self, so this form will do.." he looked at his blue body with pulsating cyan lines cutting across his his bio armor..

Horus got up, still having a splitting headache from the weapons that had been fired at his head. he looked at the two creatures in front of him, a look of satisfied relief on his face. "Is there anything else you think you want to know?" he messaged, meaning things generally, rather than speaking of the Ark itself...
