Taban saw as the tail go through. It was quite a foe; fast, dangerous. Quite a mutation. He said, "So, is there anything else that can serve as a barricade?" The creature was silent, but he figured it was only a matter of time before it tried to break through. If all else failed, he wondered if he would kill it or die trying...

After Jose finished hammering the second nail into place, he sighed and put the hammer back into the backpack. the odds of something opening that door from the other side were slim to none. he was satisfied with the state they were in. the police station was now, as far as he could see, completely barricaded. he just hoped that they could find some supplies nearby...

After several minutes of silence, Vergil finally relaxed. "I think it's gone...but keep focused....we don't know if it'll be coming back" he said...

"Well, with that out of the way, I suggest you two get some rest. We really don't need any more injuries to either of you." Charles said, glancing from Jose to Alec before heading deeper into the police station, heading toward more local sections, avoiding the area Jose was attacked from completely...

"In that case, Ill be getting some bed rest" Alec said, hopping off of the desk and heading for the stairs, arm hurting so bad he wanted to scream at the top of his lungs, and if he did, wanted to be in a different room from the others..

"Rest? you kiddin' holmes? i'm not gonna just go and rest because of a cut in the shoulder" said Jose. he'd gone too long living through things regardless of injuries. he wasn't going to start now just because some wierd pink thing stabbed him in the back...

Jack cocked his head, looking over at Taban. "You took to long to get here." He said this simply and plainly. The masked man took a step towards Taban. "You're dead weight, my friend." Jack started to lift a hand outside of his pocket. . .

Vergil had his hand in his pocket, hand grippping his beretta tightly, ready to draw it in an instant if needed. he didn't intend to lose Taban just because Jack was narrow minded...

Taban looked at Jack. He wondered what he had against him. He said, "I believe we should focus on the task at hand, rather than criticizing others, no? Now if that thing gets in here, we'll all be either 3 pieces of flesh for them to consume or three new creatures ready to wreak havoc amongst the other survivors. So I suggest getting ready." He paused. "By the way, I never got your name..."

Kieran sat in the conference room, scribbling a note down on a piece of paper while chewing some nuts. The room was dusty, but otherwise clean, light shinning through the window over looking the city. The moans had gotten a lot louder since he arrived at the building a few days ago. Chances are they could smell him and had been trying to find a way past the rubble. He had found a few pens and plenty of paper as well as some tinned fruit that he found in the bathroom (there was a body in there too, it seemed someone had tried to make a last stand there but died of their wounds.)

He finished the note and then folded it up into a small square, taking one of the thumb tacks he had found in the office and sticking the note onto his map, over the building he was in. He drew a house on the folded up square and then admired his handy work. That was the 3rd safe house he'd marked. There were other notes pinned to the map as well. Two other houses and a skull and cross bones pinned over a school that he had stayed in before. While he was there, he found a survivors diary which had warned of hundreds of zombies hiding in the schools basement. He left swiftly. He had taken a number of pages from the diary and stored it in his rucksack. It seemed like a good idea to collect traces of other survivors, it reminded him that he wasn't alone.

There was one last thing to attend to before he left. He took out a spray can and got to work on a large 'flag' he had put together out of curtains and other materials and then sprayed a large house onto it. He took his time, making sure it was large enough to be seen from a distance. The flag was quiet big, covering most of the table. When he was finally satisfied, he took his trusty rope from his bag and dragged the flag back out into the office's main room. Wind whipped through the room softly, blowing papers around and causing the conference room to slam shut. He found two windows on the east facing side of the building and managed to string the rope between them, then he used it to feed the flag across. When it was in position, he used two desks to secure it in place (A reminder of how much he needed a hammer) and then retrieved his rope, happy with his handy work.

Then he collected his things and headed downstairs. The zombies must have smelt him. On the lowest floor, he could hear them roaring from beneath him, faint thuds hammering against the rubble blocking the rest of the staircase. Most of the rubble had been caused by a large aerial which had toppled against the building and smashed a hole through the stair cases's wall. He pinned one last note to the wall, an A4 sheet with his name signed at the top "Kierán Wilder was here." He left space for other visitors to sign their names as well. Just in case he ever returned. The flag he had strung upstairs served two purposes. A land mark to help identify where he was when travelling through the city and a marker to other survivors that the building was safe.

He climbed across the wrecked aerial and then made his way down the fire escape of the adjacent building, eventually landing with a light thud into the alley way between them, taking a moment to breath before continuing...

"You enjoy that cut" Alec daid to Jose, walking up the stairs. "Last I checked, it was different than having a zombie-knife stabbed through your arm!"

"I'll do my best to enjoy it, Amigo" said Jose sarcastically as he went for the Main Desk in the police station's hall, pulling up a chair and sitting down, seeing as the very faint amount of dust filling the air was lit up by an orange beam of sunlight coming through the top of one of the windows. it was mid afternoon. he guessed it wouldn't be long until darkness fell over the city again...

Meanwhile, a single cold, seemingly dead, milky eye stared at the lone survivor from a distance as he exited the building. a low rumbling growl came from the beast as he began to follow, deciding to take his time...there wasn't really anywhere for his prey to go that he couldn't reach...

Jack replied, very simply, "My name is Jack." He turned around, looking at Virgil. "How hard would it be to kill it, if we all three attacked at the same time?"

"Kill something that's already dead? i'd rather not risk finding out" said Vergil. "besides, by the time we were done, chances are the noise will have attracted something else. we don't want to blow our ammo supplies in a day. considering we've lasted almost a year in all this, i'm sure you've considered what would happen if you ran out of ammo and couldn't find any" he added. a loud bang could be heard at the back of the apartment, as the barricaded door was attacked by something outside...

Slowly,The Leaper stretched up from his resting place and jumped out of the long broken window. He looked back at his nest.It was covered in blood with the bodies of the lesser zombies he had used as meals. On the sides of it were where most of the blood was sprayed, meaning that it was HIS nest, and that all others were to stay away.He growled, satisfied, and sprinted off in search of either a meal or some new 'decorations' for his nest...

The licker that had attacked Jose was now tracking another scent(A random zombie). It wasn't sure what the owner of the scent was, but it didn't care at the momment, only interested in succesfuly getting a meal for itself...

The Fastie let out a low growl, it could smell something, and he knew IT could smell him. He was covered in blood and flesh of the zombies he had killed the few days prior. The zombie continued down the deserted street in a slow almost stumbling movement, holes in the buildings on either side, a car embedded in what used to be a drug store. The stumbling walk would change into a flurry of movement if he was to attack or be attacked...

Taban heard it. "Looks like he's back." He said. "I suggest we try building up the barricade to prevent him from coming to us, hopefully causing him to give up."

"I don't think we have that lo-" started Vergil as another loud bang tore through the room, the attacker trying desperately to get in. Vergil went over to the place the attacker was attempting to break in through. it was attacking frantically, planks sealing the door shut beginning to show minor signs of strain, the sheer number of them leaving the door very sturdily barricaded...

OOC:Half life fast zombie?Cool.

hearing the thumping of footsteps,The Leaper looked up and focused on his ears.It sounded like another infected from the rasping breath he could just barely hear.At this point however,The Leaper would rather eat his own kind than nothing. With that said,he roared and jumped up the nearest building, then began jumping from one to the other. He hoped to at least get a small taste of blood this time...

As it continued tracking the scent, the scent of the fastie reached the licker. After being hit by the sledge hammer, it was wary of the new scent in case the owner was powerful enough to deal a similair blow to the one it had suffered earlier...
