Sidewinder's alternating guns blared to life as the red plasma bolts flew through the air, some of the blasts slamming into Starscream's wings...

The remaining wing, yet another of his short-swords, was largely unaffected by the attacks, the handle of the weapon, the main part of the wing, being chipped and scorched by the attacks. Starscream crashed into the ground on his feet, causing the deck to shudder under him, throwing debris in all directions at the same time. Through the cloud of dust that soon arose, Starscream charged forward, hacking at Burnout's chest with the short-sword, Burnout stumbling back before parrying yet another blow, plasma caster firing repeatedly at the hand holding the weapon, Starscream withdrawing back with a snarl...

Sidewinder charged across the deck, swinging his axe back down over Starscream's chest at an angle, the blade scoring across the armor but didnt embed into it. He then kicked the Decepticon's shin, forcing him off balance and open for an attack by Burnout..

Burnout thrust his blade forward, impaling it off target into Starscream's shoulder, the Decepticon moving out of the way to lessen the damage. Grabbing onto the blade, Starscream swung them both around, hurling Burnout into Sidewinder before lifting a few feet off the ground, now hovering...

Sidewinder caught Burnout, stumbling back a bit but then, arm rested over Bunrout's shoulder, bagen firing plasa bolts into the Decepticons, striking his legs and waist..

Starscream jerked back with the shots, Burnout having pushed away from Sidewinder to fire as well, the Decepticon hesitating, thinking of how to access the situation. With a loud thunk, a shell collided with the air commander's back, blowing him forward, slamming into the deck some distance from the AutoBots, looking up, another Destroyer, accompanied by a small squadron of attack helicopters, was visible in the distance, its deck-mounted weapons firing at the fallen Decepticon. Starscream, with a snort of anger, transformed and shot off in the opposite direction...

A look of relief was on Sidewinder's face as he saw the Desttroyer approaching. He said to Burnout "For a second there, I thought we were done for"

"I know the feeling...seems the humans were able to get word of the attack out. These primitive creatures show their usefulness at the most delicate times..." Burnout responded, seemingly to slouch slightly, no longer tense and ready for a fight, just wanting for his aged body to be repaired. The Destroyer came closer, its bodyguards scouting around the area to make sure there were no more Decepticons nearby, while the remaining humans, which had taken shelter deep within the battered vessel, surfaced yet again, awaiting rescue...

Breakaway was parked on the deck of the incoming destroyer in jet mode when Starscream retreated. Converting to robot mode, he activated his jets, hovering over to the damaged destroyer, landing on the deck and approaching the Autobots. "You two look like you've been to Cybertron and back," he said. "Too bad when we didn't get here sooner."

Burnout nodded in agreement, watching lazily as the humans were evacuated. "A pity we couldn't keep Starscream down when you got here...his destruction would've been a deep blow to the Decepticons." he responded, pulling a large shard of metal from his chest armor, flicking it away into a pile of debris.

Meanwhile, Starscream roared off toward the mainland, keeping his communications closed, not wanting to deal with the Decepticons' insubordination...

Sidewinder said "What ever. We got our objectives and we accomplished the mission. I desperatly need repairs..I think I'll have bullet holes in vehcle mode.."

[TyrannoTitan]

Burnout nodded, not really in the mood to joke, considering what they had been through. Behind them, a large transport aircraft touched down on the deck, opening its cargo door, while the humans were escorted to the other Destroyer via rescue boats or helicopters. "I guess that's our ride." Burnout said, standing straight yet again, body giving off a few groans and clanks as he did so. The new Destroyer, along with its armed escorts, would remain here while the damaged vessel was being secured, meaning the AutoBots would need to use the transport to get back to Washington...

Breakaway nodded. "Yeah. Come on, let's get out of here, and maybe you can tell me your names while you're at it. You guys look new." The Autobot turned and walked towards the transport. Even though he could fly on his own, he'd rather get to know his fellow Autobots first...

"Now thats a sight for sore eyes, seems like we've been out here forever" Sidewinder said as he staggered across the Destroyer to Burnout's side, having sustained leg injuries when he was blasted with a missile. Turning to Breakaway, He said "Sidewinder's the name...you look..newer than me", seeing as the jet looked undamaged, it seemed it hadn't been in a fight yet...

"Name's Breakaway," the Autobot replied, extending his hand. "I haven't really seen too much action in a while, so I can understand that."

[TyrannoTitan]

"Oh yes we are quite new. I just use this rusted piece of junk because its slimming." Burnout growled sarcastically, transforming into the rusted police car, not expecting newbies like this to know of his services.

[C S]

"Uh, excuse Burnout. He's more level headed once you get to know him, but anyway.." before staggering to the transport..

Breakaway helped support Sidewinder to the transport, saying, "Eh, I'm used to it. All the Autobots these days are cranky because of this whole mess."

[TyrannoTitan]

"Have you ever thought to ask why?" Burnout growled, driving onto the transport, remaining in vehicle mode to make it an easier fit...

Sidewinder transformed in the transport, like he thought, his entire body was dented and riddled with bullet wholes, it was a wonder why the windsheild and other glass parts werent destroyed in the battle...
