Serephir sighed, giving a faint chuckle at the comment, before saying "I just hope he knows what he's doing....the last thing i want to do is have to have HIM disabled. you, no offense meant of course, are somewhat easier than he would be to restrain....but the strength of that cyborg body of his...well let's just say my forces would have alot more trouble restraining him. especially seeing as he seems to have half a dozen lightsabers on hand all the time....hopefully we won't have to resort to that. my forces have orders to shoot the Leader of that pack of monsters the moment Grievous turns against them". already, several other pods were being sent in from the Executioner to secure the area in case of a breech. 5 Nisr'Ankh gunships were in already in position. regardless of how powerful the Queen was, the odds of her being tough enough to resist that kind of firepower were slim to none...

Meanwhile, below, the Vardian drones moved back to the edges of the massive chamber, all sensors online and wary. if the Queen attempted to attack any of them, they'd all open fire at it. if any smaller ones so much as moved in the general direction Grievous came from, it'd be blown to pieces by an anti-armour shell. security was now maximum in the area. nothing entered or left without them knowing and doing something accordingly...

Lissarkh nodded, then corrected Serephir's comment by saying, "He actually carries EIGHT with him at all times, but who's counting?"

As Grievous entered the corridor where the Queen was located, he watched the aliens warily, messaging Serephir privately. Let the large one pass. I need it to follow me.

Serephir redirected the order, commanding the drones standing guard below toallow the leader of the beasts to move freely, but to destroy any others that attempted to interfere. he then looked at Lissarkh, asking inquiringly. "Do you remember anything of what happened before you found yourself bound by the T-31?". in the background, the T-31 seemed to float silently, as if uneffected by gravity, it's tendrils flowing around it as if it were in the water rather than mid air. it's heavily armoured head was the center of these tendrils, and the armour overhung the optical orbs just enough to enshroud them entirely in shadows, only the red glows of the 'eyes' visible beneath the armour. it's numerous tendrils were tipped with clawed 'hands', each one concealing or carrying a certain tool within it, needing only to fold back it's metallic parts to reveal what lay beneath...

Lissarkh shook her head. "I remember a sharp pain in my head while I was here, then the feeling like something was trying to get in my mind, then... nothing."

"Come on, you ugly bug," snarled Grievous, spinning two sabers in preparation. "Show me what you've got." The Queen, however didn't move, instead, she hissed, opening her slavering jaws, dripping with jellylike spittle. Grievous' arm suddenly split, and he pulled out his blaster, firing several shots at the Queen. The red bolts spattered mostly harmlessly against the Xenomorph's armored exoskeleton, but they got her attention. Screeching in anger, the Queen charged like a monstrous bull, and Grievous, blaster holstered again, turned and sprinted in the opposite direction...

Serephir nodded. "At any point did it seem to call to you?" he asked, wondering if she had experienced what he had before falling under the creature's will...

th machines around the chamber monitored the events warily, in case their Commander's guess was right and others were around and attempted to interfere...

Lissarkh nodded. "There was a voice... A strange, motherly one. It called to me, tried to reassure me everything was okay..." It was obvious by the look on her face she was anything but reassured.

Grievous charged full speed down the hall, his pursuer managing to keep up surprisingly easily, the Queen's inner jaws occasionally whipping out to snap at the cyborg. He suddenly turned a corner, heading for the nearest landing pad. The Queen, caught off-guard, accidentally skidded into the wall as she tried to turn, giving Grievous a head start...

"I thought so. That was the 'Queen'. i heard the same thing. thought it was wierd considering what i was doing, and ignored it completely. it's not the first time something's tried to invade my mind....i've kinda got used to it. frequent training, meditation, that sort of thing, has made me capable of resisting them fairly well. i won't tempt fate and say it's impossible to control my mind, but i will say they'll have a hell of a time trying" said Serephir.

meanwhile, two of the ST-20s had pursued Grievous and the alien Queen, while the others secured the area and made sure nothing left without them knowing...

Lissarkh nodded. "That would explain why the... 'Queen' couldn't control you as easily as me. I never learned anything like that in my Force training, and Grievous certainly couldn't teach me it." She looked at the command console, which constantly switched screens to follow Grievous and the furious Queen through security cameras. "Maybe after this whole mess is over, you could teach me some of it."

"If we find the time, sure. if not, well, i can have someone sent here to train you instead" said Serephir simply...

"Hopefully, we'll all have some free time in general after this," replied Lissarkh, obviously confident in whatever plan Grievous had in his head...

"I suppose only time will tell. my flagship is lined up for a major overhaul. hull modifications, armour replacement, weapons modifications. who knows what else. my weapons and armour are more or less obsolete now, with the advancements in the Vardian arsenal, so i need to head back sometime soon to update my equipment. but that might not be for a month or so. i think i can start you off on the basics before i leave. i'll have a trainer help you improve from then onwards" explained Serephir. he eyed the security monitors following Grievous and the Queen's progress. a thought struck him. "By chance....is Grievous luring that thing to Gor?" he asked...

Lissarkh shook her head. "With that thing having acidic blood? I don't think he'd want to risk it. No, I think he just wants to dispose of it in a more... efficient way..."

Serephir simply nodded and watched the monitors to follow Grievous' movements...already, numerous drones that had recently arrived had sealed off access to the storage chamber from the outside, though Serephir was careful to make sure they were easily mobile so that they could move if Grievous moved in their direction...

As Grievous raced out onto the landing pad, which was already several stories up the tower (a testament to Grievous' speed), and turned around as the Queen raced outside, slowing to a stop to watch her new surroundings, not having been outside since her incarceration by the Daleks. The two fighters stared each other down, or at least did so as best they could, considering the Queen's lack of eyes...

Lissarkh watched the monitor through a security camera above the door that led out onto the landing pad, watching the standoff carefully...

OOC: Random death of SEW is random...

Another planet...another planet at risk by those damn animals. They consumed everything in sight...the planet that proceeded this was lucky; no civilians, even if many soldiers died protecting the brethren. Now, the stakes were raised far higher then before...although they attempted to evacuate the civilians residing on the planet as best they could, it was too large of a job to be done so quickly. A defensive fleet attempted to destroy as many of the gargantuan cloud as they could, but there were just too many. Soon they began to plummet toward the planet...those on the ground were the only thing standing between them and innocent people.

Wyrnn, one of the few survivors of the last attack, was leading operations on the ground. A small village not too far from the main population, where the evacuations were taking place, was the first line of defense. Before the Tyranid cloud had appeared, they prepared the the small settlement for combat. Crude but effective barricades lined a small mountain pass, just ahead of the settlement, which would delay the advance of the destructive creatures, if nothing else. High metal towers were used as vantage points, large personnel-operated rocket turrets looking out over the pass, which would be essential in the defense. Two automated sentry guns were just inside the barriers, looking down at the snow-covered ground below on small catwalks, having yet to be activated, since they would shoot any moving object. Wyrnn and his men would first defend the barricade, then fall back to the village itself, though a sniper, as well as the rocket towers, would be aiding from afar.

The climate was harsh, but their mechanical suits were built to endure it. In truth, they had expected the Tyranids to avoid such a cold planet...the elements, it seemed, didn't effect them either.

An invisible force moved swiftly and silently towards the settlement, its footsteps hardly making an imprint in the snow as it sprinted lightly across the ground. The creature's job: to cause as much terror and confusion as possible at the blockade, and give the Tyranid creatures behind it yet another advantage...

Grievous, after a long while, lunged forward, and the Queen charged straight at him, screeching in fury. The cyborg swiftly rolled underneath the angry alien, making her suddenly spin around to continue the chase. Spinning around, Grievous put away his sabers and pulled out his blaster, able to send a few shots at the Queen before she swatted the weapon out of his hands with one of her smaller, secondary claws. Grievous jumped to the side, just as the Queen sent her massive fists slamming into the ground where he had been standing, the cyborg looking for the opportune spot to spring his trap...

It had been the best part of a week since the ClogMór left the TGDA system, but the huge station had finally arrived in the core of Rogue territory, along with the first elements of Swarm-4. The swarm-4 ships slowed, turning off along a curve in the hyperspace route, the ClogMór continuing forward at its leisurely pace towards the Rogue home-world. It's piloting systems had been taken over by the Core's section controller which guided it safely towards Horranda across the web of safe hyperspace routes established over the sector

Grievous neared the door back into the tower, dodging swipes from the angry Queen by inches. Dropping a thermal detonator behind him, the cyborg sped away, the explosion not close enough to damage the Queen, but merely disorient her for a few seconds. Reaching into his new cloak, Grievous pulled out a mid-sized, disc-shaped device. He dropped the device on the ground, where it sealed itself to the landing pad and emitted a short, sharp beep. As he turned to flee, the Queen burst out of the smoke from the earlier explosion, clamping her massive claws around Grievous' torso and lifted him up to eye level, turning to have her back to the device on the ground. Hissing, she opened her mouth, revealing the hungry inner jaws within, ready to crush the cyborg's skull like a tin can...

Grievous narrowed his eyes, and his antennae twitched slightly. Immediately after, the device erupted in a massive explosion, enough to scorch the Queen's exoskeleton and make her stumble forward, screeching in pain and dropping her intended prey. A crack appeared in the pad, and began to widen rapidly, the pad itself wobbling dangerously as Grievous raced towards the door back inside...

A various groups of Gaunts trotted ahead of the still-invisible Lictor, acting as both scouts as well as distractions, to keep the enemy off the Lictor completely. Hormagaunts were at the front, the light melee creatures being the most durable of the two types, though they had no idea of the armored barricade only a short distance ahead. Meanwhile, termagaunts remained behind their melee kin, their corrosive weapons giving them ranged attacks to use against the enemy.

Wyrnn paced behind the barricade, being fed information from various scouting forces of the whereabouts of the Tyranids, the mass invasion force not yet moving on for some reason. The commander held in his hands a massive axe, which had a chainsaw-like blade at the edge, as well as a strange device on the other side of the single-bladed weapon. A standard issue plasma rifle was strapped to his back, on the off chance that melee combat would not be effective in the coming battles...

Inside the Clogmor's hangers where the enemy spy still hid, the chamber finished its investigation of the Trandoshan ship. From the utility rings circling the chamber, numerous lightning like beams shot out, connecting to the various sections of ship, including the one containing the spy, bright orbs flowed out of the strange beams, surrounding the pieces and beginning to prise them apart, as time passed, the forces becoming more violent and splitting the chunks into tiny pieces...

"Boss. Survivor elements fleeing along routes 27 and 51. Longbows currently skimming Tyandral are moving to cut 51 off. Requesting permission to divert Hunter Killers to block off 27."

Cere'kan surveyed the message for a few moments, sent from one of the commodants over seeing the mop up operation across the Marican sphere. It annoyed him, new code developed by Ark'aran had upgraded the overseers Ai to a worrying level of self awareness. While policy was formally dictated by him alone, now the Commodants were forming their own opinions and questioning his own. While they were logically correct in many circumstances, logic wasn't the only factor. It infuriated him that he had to explain himself to mere underlings. He would have to put a stop to the project. He didn't care if it made them more effective and better protected. He responded to the commodant
"Denied. Send battlegroup 3 instead. Leave the Hunter Killers to take care of any one who escapes. How many other targets remain?"

The commodant replied back with an annoying tinge of smugness "None. After this, all survivor pockets will have been obliterated and only planetary forces will remain."

He responded with a quick acknowledgement and then begun examining the various worlds they would have to invade. Tyrandel and Kim-rav were the main targets. The worlds had attempted to splinter from Maricas following the initial strike, but the troops he had stationed guarding the worlds had picked up coded transmissions. He suspected they were trying to organise a co-ordinated defence. Something he couldn't allow. Once they were subdued, he could deal with the lesser nations and auxiliaries. Tikadal, or Skav, for instance.
