The bulky limb was scorched and mangled from the blast, but its base form remained intact. Looking up at the mech, two more jets of acid sprayed onto the rising form, coating its legs and lower stomach, while Biovine itself backed away, arms ready to protect against any damage, while the already-mangled limb began to repair itself...

Meanwhile, a small UAV spy plane circled high above the abandoned city, having been alerted by Crisis' reports of where the group was heading, the small unmanned aircraft keeping an eye on their activities...

Pred-1's foot-mounted jets managed to scatter most of the acid before it got to close, and he managed to kick off the rest, despite some minor armor damage to his legs. Rising higher, the mech charged his shoulder cannons, launching two blue energy blasts at Biovine. Even if he did block the shots, chances are they would burn right through the plant monster's limbs...

Tendrils shot forth from the ground, making a thick barricade, which, as expected, did not stop the attack completely, but instead gave Biovine time to move away, mostly avoiding the energy blasts. As the barrier was destroyed, it threw acidic material around the area from its various wounds, a few stray clumps of the corrosive material landing on the mech, as the tendrils fell limply to the jungle below...

"Many creatures inhabit this planet....innumerable numbers of them. but this place is a city belonging to the thusfar 'dominant' species. the Humans. at one time, it would have housed millions of them" rumbled Horus as he flew, finally seeing what he wanted, and descending, lightening his fall by beating his wings powerfully, a massive amount of sand, dust and debris being kicked up from the downdraft as Horus landed, the Dragon beginning to look around the construction site, quickly seeing what he wanted...

"What... happened to... the humans?" Proteus asked curiously.

Pred-1's shoulder cannons spun to track Biovine, firing two more charged shots. One was a near-miss, grazing the monster's flank, but the second hit its mark, exploding violently against Biovine's back. The mech shook off what little acid hit its armored hull, which did little to damage the metal...

"In this city? i'd suppose Monsters scared them off. that's what's bothering me. a city like this should be infested with small monsters. either they're very skilled at hiding the the ruins or something scared THEM off" growled Horus simply as he walked towards a building under construction...

"So, something... more powerful... than one of those... flying creatures?" Proteus growled, ruffling his gelatinous wings.

"Something like the creatures that attacked you when you first arrived. something of similar strength to ourselves" responded Horus as he looked back, the air around his jaws distorting from the heat...

In the distance, a loud, screeching sound could be heard, a dim red glow eminateing from the sky, and fast approaching..

Looking up at the glow, Proteus growled, "Something... like that?!"

Osiris proceeded carefully through the streets, sky scrapers flanking him on either side, the machine barely able to fit through them, brushing off one or the other occasionally, tearing down large chunks of rubble accidentally.

Clinging to the side an old office building, Setsus leaned out, aiming for a better look, the machine's tail whipping up over his shoulder, its tip folding out into a strange dish like apparatus, scanning around for any trace of the giant, soon finding it. It was just down the street, on the other side of the building it now perched on. Setsus retracted his tail and begun scampering up the building hopping onto the top of it and creeping across to get a good look at the machine down below... There it was....

Osiris trod along scanning around constantly, then he spotted something, a small figure silhouetted against the sky. He instantly zoomed in on it, the figure's head filling his view, the red eyed monkey like machine immediately noticing and turning in panic. Realising it was trying to escape, Osiris's arm immediately jerked up, pulse laser popping up. He fired, the blue shot blowing a hole in the lip of the building, where the smaller Duvan'rah had been just moments before, the monkey like machine leaping across the road onto another building, fleeing across the rooftops away from him. He broke into a sprint and messaged Placentra, Setsus simultaneously messaging Xolotl with the exact same message "Got him."

Some distance from the city, up a mountain and inside the crater of a dormant volcano, a huge bulky machine climbed over its rim, single red eye glowing ominously. Xolotl took a step forward, cracks spreading out around his feet, watching the ruined city in the distance, in particular, a thick sky scraper near its centre...

Utilizing the mech's distracted state, more tendrils shot up from the ground, the giant root-like appendages wrapping around the mech's legs, yanking it down once more, toward Biovine, who was already readying a fist, the gargantuan limb crashing violently with the mech's chest, the tendrils letting go as it did, causing Pred-1 to fly back into the jungle, skidding across the ground before completely coming to a stop. The more tendrils that appeared, the more foliage the island seemed to lose...Biovine would not be able to keep up such a strategy for long.

Pred-1 swiftly got to his feet, minor damage to his chest plate and sonic ray. He fired the ray again, this time straight at Biovine, but could only fire it short bursts, not a continuous beam...

Horus glanced at the glow. he could tell it definately wasn't normal, but at that extreme range, he couldn't really tell WHAT it was. it must've been at least a few hundred kilometers away...

"Picking up some strange readings after you shot him..I think I just found some sort of..wireless comunications link. Tracking said link via satalite"

Placentra moved from Osiris' chest up to his shoulder, his tail being the only thing petruding from the machine, in the form of a small dish. He had pointed the dish in the direction of a nearby commercial communications satalite, tapping into it so that he could moniter the signal.

"The recieving end of that signal is some distance away. I think this guy may have his own giant buddy with him..."

Horus was indeed correct. Tundra was fast approaching, but he was still far off from the location of Osiris and company, though the intense red glare from the war ship's engine was visable for kilometers around, and the noise eminating in all directions. His shadow was nonexistant, light overcasting infront of him, obscuring his giant form entirely. It was like watching a shooting star hurdle across the Earth...

Osiris kept his pace up, twisting down an avenue in pursuit of the smaller machine, resonding to Placentra "You sure? What do we do?"

Horus, after a few seconds of looking at the glow and not being able to identify it, shrugged it off and looked back at the metal beams of the building under construction. "Guys? any idea what that glowing red thing to the south is? i tried to check it myself, but it's too far out" he messaged Placentra and Osiris as he literally bit a chunk out of the building's metal frame, consuming it as most would consume regular food, the sound of twisting metal seeming unusual when one looked at the ease with which he simply chewed on the metal and swallowed it, taking another large chunk of the building's metal frame every few moments...

"Yes, I suggest not trying to blow it up, or atleast stop moving all together incase its an ambush" Placentra messaged Osiris. "Something to the south?" Placentra responded to Horus..

Osiris slowed, and then said to Placentra "Maybe he's spotted the big one, I'll go get a better look" He turned to the side and leapt upwards, smashing into the building to his right before diving off of it, onto the one to his left, managing to hook his claws over its top, the building behind him seriously damaged from the rebound jump...

Placentra's body reformed once more on Osiris' shoulder, able too see over the roof of the building Osiris clinged onto, ignoring the sound of metal groaning from underneath him, and the sound of parts of the building behind them slamming into concrete. Placentra, getting a glimpse of the glowing far off messaged Osris and Horus "What ever's making that light is some distance away. I'd suggest preparing for a fight rather than stare at it too long,it might damage your eyes, especially if you just switched to infared vision, like I just did..big mistake.."
