"Wow...funnily enough, it reminds me of Drake...once he holds a grudge with someone, they're screwed over till he's satisfied. look at Kagan and Drake's other relatives from his father's side. for the last...what, 800 years? he's been hunting them down one at a time. what's the worst of it? he gets stronger with each one he kills. learns individual weaknesses in certain branches of the family and exploits it to kill off that entire branch. he's one from minor annoyance to major threat. most of the survivors are in hidin. even Brimstone has trouble finding them, and with our connections, that takes one helluva lot to do. eventually the big guy in the family got angry and now my home for the last 4 decades has been blown to kingdom come. Drake's work's effective....but it tends to have collateral damage the moment he eases off a bit" said Mike. "Mike, you're gonna jinx him if you keep that up" came Spencer's voice, though his eyes remained closed. "Keep what up?" asked Mike, somewhat confused. "the whole complimenting gig" reponded Spencer. "Complimenting? i wasn't complimenting. describing him more like" answered Mike. "Bottom line is, you're speaking too highly of him. next thing you know he'll be crippled by something like you were" said Spencer. "Yeah? what makes you think compliments'll jinx him?" asked Mike. "You ever heard of the Evil Eye? old Middle Eastern saying. you compliment something too much, it gets wrecked. i've seen it happen myself. a guy talked about this one classy loking Benz 20 years ago, the driver got stuck in his car with the radio on full blast and the door locked and impossible to open unless he was doing 60. crazy, but true" responded Spencer. "Hey Velkor, you believe this guy?" asked Mike with a ridiculing chuckle...
Drake chuckled at the comments of the girls, saying "Well then, maybe i'd better see if i can't find a nightclub where people AREN'T afraid of randomly being eaten alive by the creatures of the night, eh?". Tony scoffed. "HA! good luck. i'll be eatin' mice over the safehouse till you do. chances are I'LL be dead of OLD AGE before you find anythin!" responded the owl mockingly...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
