Since ISS is (at least in my opinion) the best rpg ever made, I think we should make something like that.
How about prehistoric mammals?
Here are some reasons:
1. In ISS, if you took away the story and everything, you get a dinosaur rpg.
2. Well, dinosaurs are quite enjoyable, but it doesn't feel right to ignore the mammals.
3. also, the whole carnivore thing is getting out of hand. There are no herbivore RPers at all in ISS. i don't get why... it's not like you'll be killed by the first carnivore you meet, since you can't "kill" another player's character(s) without their or the threadmaster's permission. But in this, (if it's accepted) even herbivores would most likely have a defensive feature. you want free food and still go on a rampage? pick a mamoth for God's sake.
4. I have never seen any rpg with mammal characters, or even NPCs (not including humans).
Here are reasons I would expect some critisism:
1. We already have ISS. Why do we need this when it's ISS, just with different characters?
2. Paradoxes. No, not with time, but because of the pre-INGEN/post-INGEN issue. You see, if it's before ingen, then teh consequences of the storyline from the Preshistoric Beasts rpg (the name i came up with) could and probably would have severe effects on all topics (rpg or otherwise) that tie to ingen in any way (including my Doom Island series). And if it's after ingen, who the hell would make a second ingen? especially after what happened to ingen? And it can't BE ingen. That causes a hell of a lot of trouble.
3/ There's another issue, this time it is with time. Because most of the best and most well known prehistoric beasts are the mamoth, smilodon, megatherium, and perhaps the terror birds. (dodos went extinct after human civilization existed. i think it was europe). But the terror birds became extinct because of smilodon. the mammoths outlasted the others (except the cave bear). So you have the issue that they all come from different times and different parts of the world. so ONLY an ingen-like company could bring them all as potential characters.
4. then you obviously have the issue of beast-human interactions. human sees smilodon, they shoot. the mammals aren't that bullet resistant. they don't have protective scales. case in point.
I know it probably won't be accepted, but I just thought I'd try.
You've lost the game,
The game of life,
So drop your pain,
And leave your strife.
