Godzilla E-War

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

Horus tumbled backwards, colliding with the ground and barely catching himself, a pained groan coming from him as he stood, smoke billowing out of the wound. by sheer luck the blast had gone through the mechanical part of his torso and not the vital organs beneath. gauging his condition it seemed his silos were now completely offline, though non-combat systems were still online. he'd be able to repair it given enough time, but it wasn't time he had at the moment. a plume of flaming energy pulsed around his jaws as his plasma beam was unleashed on the Gauss rifle in retaliation in an effort to disable it before Xolotl could use it again...

Behind Xolotl, at the bottom of the landslide, a sliver of black slime, ending in a single red eye, poked out of the rubble, watching the fight closely...

"..How?" Placentra asked, his irritation now curiousity. "How can you help me control a larger frame if your bound to Osiris?"

Before the beam had completely crippled the weapon, Xolotl had his arm up and ready. He fired a pulse from the sonic blaster, the shot crashing into the dragon's jaw and blowing the creature over again, throwing its aim off. Recovering from what damage the beam had done, Xolotl resumed his stance, growling deeply "Don't you roaches ever die?!" He motioned to load another shell into the gauss rifle, flushing its coolant, steam pouring off the weapons length. But then he noticed what was left of the weapon's muzzle. The beam had drawn a jagged scar down the side of the barrel, it's edges still glowing molten. If he tried to fire it in this condition the shell would explode prematurely.... Growling in irritation once more, he stood up, the gauss rifle swivelling back over onto his back, the machine advancing on the dragon, wrist blades extending out with a jerk of his arm...

Rekku said, with equal reluctance "Well, if you provide us with the material, we'd be able to help construct your frame more complex than you could alone. It would be difficult to control, and in essence, parts of it would be bonded to us, but it would work."

Mekku added in "It would be difficult though. We aren't capable of creating our own material like Osiris or you, only manipulating what we are provided it."

Placentra snapped his claws together as he thought. Several moments of silence passed before he finally said "Ok then. But, how can I supply you with the matirials? My frame is light weight- the form I would need to fight the machines would wegh tons! And how would I control what was bonded to you? Your stuck to my friend here"

Suddenly, Proteus lunged from the rubble, his semi-liquid form sliding over Xolotl's back and latching onto his head, obscuring his vision completely as he stuck fast like glue, his red eyes glowing fiercely as he stared at where he thought Xolotl's sensors were. He gurgled something in his own, alien language, tendrils of his form snaking along the mech's body and seeking out holes in its frame..

Xolotl paused for a moment, an orange glow lighting up the blob like monster. Suddenly, his hyper laser burst into full power, blowing the creature off his head and setting it alight. He drew his sonic blaster, charging the weapon once more, growling "This is just getting ridiculous..."

a thick yellow beam streaked across the ground and upwards, stopping and settling on the Sonic blaster, close range allowing Horus to hit it more accurately despite the dazed state he was in from the hit on the jaw, Horus intending to disable Xolotl's ranged capabilities. the Dragon's black and tan form was by this point covered in scorch marks and scars from the fight, the most prominent by far being the hole the Gauss Rifle had torn into his space titanium armoured torso, but the Dragon had no intention of dying anytime soon, here or anywhere else...

The chunks of Proteus scattered, reforming a distance away from Xolotl and watching his next move, waiting for a chance at another surprise attack...

OOC: Proteus was blown apart, thrown a few hundred meters forward and is on FIRE. How can he suddenly slide up Xolotl's BACK?

Xolotl simply swivled his elbow around, the beam impacting against his the underside of his arm instead of the weapon directly. That blasted beam was seemingly infinite... He closed the last few strides more hurriedly and then threw his other arm forward in an upper cutting strike, his wrist blades slashing into the dragon's neck and dragging up into its chin, blowing its head upwards. Using his momentum to wind up for the next strike, he swung out in a horizontal backhand sweep, aimed towards the dragon's thighs....

On the outskirts of the ruined base, a large feline form moved through the charred foliage, its advanced optics allowing it to view the destruction from a safe distance. Instead of finding the base over-run with the creatures, MAUL only found the destruction in their wake; all signs of the unnatural beasts had disappeared without a trace...

a rattling snarl came from Horus as he was blown back, the second hit from the Duvan'Rah being blocked with the Dragon's arm, more out of luck than intention, though it sufficed to lessen the impact, putting a foot out against the ground to stop him from falling, bracing himself against the ground with his toe claws. his free hand's space titanium claws shimmered white as the Energy Receptors activated, Horus swinging down across the Duvan'Rah's shoulder, which was still exposed due to the arm being held back by Horus' free arm, 4 thick gashes appearing in the claws' wake...

OOC: Horus's arm WAS the target :P

Xolotl threw up his arm, attempting to parry the slash, but the move was much too slow, he only managed to bash the dragon's arm back out of his way. He quickly capitalised on his opportunity and swung the hand inwards for a quick strike, punching the dragon in the side of the head, hopefully disorintating it as well as hurting it. He pulled his wrist blades free and then rammed them forward underarm, the blades stabbing into the dragon's side diagonally... The slash had caused some damage to his shoulder joint and motors but in order to disable it, he would need a much more determined effort.

the Dragon roared as he was impaled, clamping his free clawed hand down on the Duvan'Rah's other arm, claws shimmering white as they struck and imbedding themselves in it, Horus thrusting his heavily armoured horned head forward in a vicious headbutt, his nose horn ripping into Xolotl's torso at an angle in the process, the horn crackling wildly, unleashing an immense electrical charge right into the Duvan'Rah, arcs of lightning-like energy jumping across his form and tearing into the cracks...

Xolotl took a step back, debris and fire pouring from the wound, a mechanical groaning issuing from the huge machine. He jabbed his free arm across his body, striking the dragon into the side of the head, simultaneously pulling his blood soaked blades free. He gripped the spiky creature's head and threw it downwards, smashing Horus into the earth, the force of the impact crushing his own wrist, sparks and dust flying out from the connection between his crippled hand and forearm. Lifting the useless hand up, he rose up for a moment on one foot, suspending his leg above Horus, before bringing it crashing back down on where he assumed it's ribs would be. Intent on finishing the job, he cocked his arm, preparing to plunge his wrist blades through the dragon's head....

Further up the decimated mountain, a bright flash of light shined like an unnatural beacon, the chaotic energies further tearing at the mountain before finally settling, leaving the emotionless form of Aeonus staring down at the raging battle below. "Destructive creatures! Do you make any attempt to hide your whereabouts?! Such violent energies were tossed around so wildly, my brethren in the abyss of space could have sensed it!" the otherworldly creature voiced, more amused then anything. It found the beasts fascinating...for now, it would observe...

Xolotl's sensor bar swiveled around to scan Aeonus, the Duvan'rah musing out loud "More... How can there be more?"

Proteus' eye swiveled above his gelatinous form, staring at Aeonus curiously, though the alien said nothing at the moment...

Aeonus focused on the only of the group that spoke, eyes flashing as it watched, as if seeing something more then what was in front of it. "You...you are not of this world. How...familiar..." he voiced allowed, eyes narrowing slightly, though the energy emitting from them simply increased...

Kori kahn shgakes his head a bit, but does nothing more. He stirs, but the tranquilizers were too strong for him, and went limp again.
