Jose looked at the two. he didn't know what it was, but he knew something was wrong here. the dog excuse was too obvious. "Whatever man" he responded, feigning his ignorance with a wave of his hand, before sitting down in one of the chairs near the large reception desk, giving a momentary glance at various papers, some of them complaints from citizens about cannibals, and others more recent bulletins from the Precinct Chief Brian Leeds and various other police station staff, mentioning the outbreak and various out of date, assumed 'facts' on symptoms, weak points and procedures in case of a case of the virus appearing in anyone within the police station. near the top of the pile was an order by the precinct chief to barricade the building entirely and to shoot any bloodied civilian if they approach. older plans had a steel panel and rod locking mechanism to make the entrance sturdy but speedily workable to get healthy survivors indoors quickly if they were being pursued. interested, Jose began to read the reports...

Renfield watched the Nemesis barrel past him, and then stood up, pulling out his notebook and pen and walking away, saying to himself, "The unexpected always happens!" He resumed writing in the notebook, muttering, "Yes yes very good yes good very good yes yes good good..."

A man, in his mid-30's, sprinted down the street near the mall, panting heavily, "God... d*mn... Hunters..." A pair of Hunters were making froglike pounces towards the man, shrieking eerily as they pursued him...

Alec put the bookbag back on his back and said "Im going to go watch the entrance. Make sure the zombie left." As he past Charles, he mumbled "Meet me downstairs, the door with the pipe blocking it"...

Charles made a quick nod, before going back to where he had slept previously, hoping to retrieve the supplies he gathered...

Alec went down the steps to the door, which had been damaged by the Reaper. He stood near it for a bit, before nonchalantly making his way to the back of the station...

The Slasher slammed into the police station's door with a loud bang. Quickly, he backed up, then charged again, kicking and occasionally clawing viciously.

Alec paid no mind to the Slasher. No point trying to defend the place they were leaving. When Charles got to the back, Alec stood behind him, waiting for his friend to get into the gage and break the chair blocking the back door...
Meanwhile...

An angry bellow sounded off from behind the Slasher, the noctournals, disturbed by the noise quickly stormed the zombie, those that could get at the lone undead from the mob slammed their boney spikes into it, digging into it and ripping its rotten flesh apart as they mercilessly attacked. Once disturbed, the night faring zombies would maul all who happened to be near the place....

The Slasher howled in surprise, then spun and decapitated one of the vicious nocturnals with a swing of his bladed arm. He roared a challenge, ignoring the rips and tears in his flesh.

As one noctournal fell, another leapt into the fight like a cougar, digging its claws into the Slasher's side as it clamped down behind the zombie's shoulder, the swing leaving that point vulnerable while the others from behind the angry wall of undead catapulted themselves over the others, coming down on top of Slasher in a dog pile of rotting flesh and bone...

Jose put a couple of papers in his pocket, deciding it better to leave himself something to read later, just as he heard the bangs downstairs. getting up, he moved to grab the sledgehammer, which he had put by the side of the desk, but a small, sharp pain in his arm made him flinch. considering the situation, judging by the noise downstairs he had a feeling that it was about time they left. too many creatures were aware of their presence here. dumping the sledgehammer, he rushed out of the room and towards the main stairs down to the lower level...

Meanwhile Vergil had reached the main gate of the mall's loading area, running right through it, hearing numerous shrieks not too far from him. seeing a man running down the street to his left. running towards him, hoping he could probably get some support, or at least bait to rid him of the monster chasing him...

not far behind, Nemesis moved past the two trucks, following the man's scent. spotting the violently swinging door, he snarled, charging towards it...

The Slasher roared loudly, his blood spurting about. He struggled a bit, managing to slit the spine of one nocturnal, shrugging it off as he banged his back repeatedly against the door, trying to smash the ones on his back while at the same time trying to bust it open with their weight.

A noctournal charged forwards, ramming the Slasher through the door, dislodging the one attacking his side in the process, but the force broke the door's hinges and forced the barricade back a small amount, the more loosely packed objects falling off of the pile...

Using the sounds of fighting to cover the noise, Charles brought his foot down on the chair's legs repeatedly, breaking the nailed parts off before moving to the other parts, quickly freeing the door of its block. Throwing the broken parts of the chair away, Charles shoved the door open, knowing that the fight at the front of the station should attract any nearby zombies away from their escape...

"Go man!" Alec whispered with urgency in his voice. "Sneak around the station, then make a break for the opposite direction. What ever pissed them off, they will keep mauling until its dead or ran away..trust me" He remembered their initial run to the police station, a terrifying night

as Jose rushed down the stairs he skid to a hault, spotting the chaos in front of the door, the barricade being shaken by the frenzy outside. Where are they?! he thought. thinking about the options, he knew the front door was obviously an impossible choice. the only other way out he could think of was the door to the garage that he barricaded. not wasting time, he rushed towards the back of the station, hoping the others were safe...

Charles rushed out of the station and into the indoor parking lot, immediately breaking into a full-blown run, quickly reaching the outside of the lot before bolting down the street, trying to aim for the direction indicated on the map Alec had shown him...

Jose saw the door, wide open, the chair knocked at one side. not caring to stop, he kept going, his hopes sinking as he realised he had been abandoned. So that's what they were up to.....backstabbing *******.... he thought as he ran. he knew that there was no guarantee the place was safe, and drew his gun just in case, charging down the narrow hallway towards the garage...from what he remembered, there was a side door next to the garage door that wasn't barricaded. it'd take him right out into the street...from there he could decide where to go...he hoped he'd survive it though...

The Slasher growled and kicked up, dislodging one of the nocturnals as he stumbled to his feet unsteadily, bumping into the barricade as he did so. He pressed his back against it and stuck his scythe arms out at a reasonable length to impale any nocturnals that foolishly jumped forward.
