OOC: Just because the door was broken doesn't mean the way is clear, Boswell. There are 385735 objects blocking the entrance.

Charles continued to run, the sounds of the fighting growing weaker and weaker the further they traveled...

Alec kept pace with Charles, also noticing the fading noise. However, they were in unknown territory now. Who knows what other zombie species ruled where they were headed?

The Noctournals on the left and right charged in on the Slasher, biringg onto its arms and slashing at its side, thrashing and wriggling, attempting to rip them off, if not, break them...

The Slasher peered at each and every one of the nocturnals with it's nearly blind eyes.

Jose ran down the stairs, almost tripping as he did so, before bolting for the side door to the garage, skidding to a hault and pushing it open, finding a loose tire blocking it, though it was easy enough to move out of the way. the chaos on the other side of the police station was audible even here....shuddering at the thought of them finding him, he began moving away from the building, down the street, handgun in hand, as he tried to think of a safe place to go...

From a dark alley, a skinny, horribly mutilated figure watched Alec and Charles run down the street, keeping pace from the shadows...

The buildings began to thin out, becoming smaller and smaller. Up ahead there was a park, corpses littering the ground, limbs on the benches and tables. Either zombie or survivor, it was unclear from the distance...but one thing was clear, and that was the hoarde was somewhere around...

Charles proceeded carefully now, out of immediate danger of the zombies that had attacked the station, knowing that running would only attract the ones that resided in this new area. Gun in hand, he continued to walk toward their destination...

Alec unholstered his .30 caliber and constantly looked out behind him and to the sides, especially the shadowed areas, primed to act on the first sign of attack...

The figure peered around the corner of another alleyway behind the pair of humans. It wasn't time to ambush them yet, but it soon would be...

Seeing Vergil running towards him, the man being chased by the Hunters waved his arms above his head, shouting, "Hey! You! A little help here?!"

Vergil moved towards a wall, practically plastering himself against it as he stopped, drawing a handgun and taking aim, shooting one of the Hunters, the shot ripping through the back of it's neck and, due to the angle, ripped out of it's cheek. firing again, the shot ripped through the second one's head, Vergil continuing towards the survivor, knowing the monster was still on his tail...

The man slowed to a stop and stared at the dead Hunters, saying to Vergil as he approached, "Uh, nice shot..."

"Thank me later. right now we need to move" said Vergil as he approached the man at a slow jog, an angered roar coming from behind the mall...

"Why? We can..." Getting cut off by the roar, the man simply nodded and raced in the opposite direction, deciding not to question just what was chasing Vergil...

Alec's eye brow raised when he looked back, something just behind the corner of a building peeking at the two survivors. "Charles..we're being followed" He whispered to his counter part. He pretended to be ignorant of the creature. He didnt want it to think its stealth was comprimised and attack in a panic, alerting other zombies of the survivors...

Vergil rushed after Nick hoping he had an idea of somewhere they could go, worried that his pursuer would soon catch up otherwise...

meanwhile, Jose walked down an empty street, the odd shuffler being visible in an alley across the street or trapped in a car, barely moving. looking at his hands, he saw they were trembling. he was infuriated. those two ******** he had helped to protect, had helped barricade the police station for, had spent precious ammunition helping to fight off monsters for, had abandoned him. much more than that. they had left him to DIE. he doubted he'd ever see them again, alive or otherwise...but he made a mental note to shoot them both if he did...though chances are they'd be shuffling towards him the next time he saw them anyway...or perhaps the other way around....whichever the case would be, he would make sure that in the end they got what they deserved for leaving him for dead. for now however, he had to focus on survival. he began considering places he could go...

The Slasher charged forward, his heavy feet slamming against the ground at high speeds as he attempted to shove and slice his way through the nocturnals.

Kieran flicked his lamp once more, scanning around the now silent mall... he'd gotten everything he came for. Now he just needed to get out... Maybe it would be a good idea to find somewhere safe to rest, for the night, maybe by the roof. He started searching for a maintenance stairwell, heading towards the edge of the shopping centre.

A clawed fist slammed into the Slasher's head, sending it bowling through the crowd of undead. The noctournal who dealt the blow let out a bellow, the others of its hive quickly spreading out and givving the Slasher a wide berth. The pack leader of the night farers let out a gruff snarl, the others quickly making their way back to the hive, leaving their leader, a muscular undead with horns that jutted out of his fore head, moving back in sigle file over its head, boney spikes that stuck out of its shoulders and long claws, to deal with the bladed arm creature....

Nick panted as he ran, "Alright, whoever you are, I think I found a place to hide farther down the street from whatever's chasing you. If those Hunters hadn't spotted me first, I would've made it the first time..."

Charles, upon hearing what Alec said, glanced nervously over his shoulder, trying to spy the follower in question...
