The Berserker halts its charge as he is faced with the leader's minions. Letting out another bellow, the berserker punches one of the creatures, its fist smashing through the creature's chest and caving in its chest cavity, its blood pouring all over the ground. The Berserker turns to the others and prepares for an attack.

The Slasher growled in pain. He considered suicidally charging the leader, but shook that thought off as he ran off, climbing up a lamp post by sticking his blades into it and crawling up.

As the Beserker is busy with one Noctournal, another leaps onto its back, shortly followed by one from the side, the minions attacking furiously, like they do for any attacker. The Beskerker was just another arrogant undead that would come to a pain filled end at the hands of the hoarde, all because of the fact it couldnt resist a fight...

The Slasher hid amongst the shadows of the rooftop, waiting for an opportunity to an easy meal. He looked down at his broken arm. He gently grabbed it with his dagger-like teeth, then twisted it in place with a pop. It felt like it was on fire, but it would have at least a larger chance of healing properly.

Feeling endangered, The berserker quickly grabs a nocturnal and slams it to the ground, snapping its neck with the impact. he grabs another and impales it with his tusks, goring and disemboweling it. The berserker still has many more nocturnals on him, and knows he can't take much more damage before succombing. He manages to break free from the nocturnals and grabs one of the dead zombies. Turning around, he screeches and runs with the nocturnal slung across his back, planning to have himself a feast........

The denziens of the Noctournals roared at the fleeing intruder, snarls and howls echoing in the night. With the disturbances curbed, the malicious attackers made their way back to their hive, to continue their rest until hunting time, which would be sometime later, as those who managed to attack the intruders had a small meal consisting of their flesh...

Slowly, The Slasher lowered himself and quietly sniffed, trying to find if any of the hive members had stuck around.

The Berserker slams the Nocturne to the ground and lets out a screech. Saliva coming out of the berserker's ghastly maw, he digs into the Nocturne, blood and guts splattering the alley he was in. He got to the head and tears the creature over it off with his hands and bites the head off in one bite. The berserker chews on it. When he finishes the head, he spits out the skull husk and begins to eat the best part: The torso......

The Slasher quietly slid back down the lamp post. He walked up to one of the corpses quietly. Hooking it's shoulder on his functioning claw, he quietly began to drag it away, glancing around every now and then to make sure it didn't attract anything.

"Brick...that works" said Vergil. "So how far is it?" he asked. he began considering his ammunition supplies...his older handgun was two bullets short of a full clip. he'd need to reload it as soon as he got the chance...

"About a block," Nick replied. "Better, I knew a guy there who was a real gun-nut. Here's hoping there's still some guns or whatever inside."

"I hope so, but i doubt it. if he was well armed enough to be recognised as a gun nut, chances are someone's already raided his house by now" said Vergil as he moved onwards at a slow jog...it was strange...why would the beast suddenly stop?

Nemesis stood over the corpse of a large, heavily muscled zombie. it had charged him when he reached the door out of the loading area, and he was forced to fight it. now, it lay dead, and posed a temporary source of food for him. he hadn't forgotten the human though....it's scent would lead him straight to it...

"Regardless," Nick replied, slowing as well, "It's safe, hopefully."

With a forceful shoulder, Kieran pushed open the rusted roof access door, walking out into the night air on top of the mall....

Nick led Vergil towards the apartment building on the side of a mostly abandoned street, other than the occasional Shambler. "Come on, let's get inside before we attract any more attention from these mealy-mouthed b******s."

Vergil walked into the building after Nick, handgun gripped tightly through his pocket. "we need to clean the place out and make sure it's clear....better get started" he said...

Nick nodded, though he swiftly stopped when they entered the abandoned entry hall. "Um, do you, by any chance, have another gun?" he asked.

"...you telling me you don't have one?" asked Vergil somewhat surprised...

"I used to," Nick replied. "If I had one, those Hunters would've been dead before they saw me, and we wouldn't be having this conversation, would we?"

"Fair enough" responded Vergil, before pulling his second gun out of his pocket, flipping it around and handing it to the man butt first. "I'll lend it to you until you can find a replacement....just...go easy on the bullets, ok? it's not easy to find ammo for these things" he added...
