Serephir eyed Grievous, curious as to what had transpired that would be able to draw his attention away for his 'hunt'. the Guardians meanwhile were ensuring that the perimiter was secure, watching for threats...

"Specifically? No, but I can assume its something to get off this planet. For all we know, they already have." the ship replied, referring to a stealth based ship, rather then one they intended to fight the TGDA vessels with.

"Never would we resort to the actions of our siblings! Our function to serve the Makers aside, we have endured far too much from the Original Ones to ever help them..." the small machine said, its fields going red with anger, referring to its years of harassment...

Some time later, the cellar door opened and Kystion stepped out. He placed the board on the bar table and then closed the cellar door. It squeaked loudly as he swung it shut. The Ascatian turned away and walked down the lane to the short alien, who was pouring a drink to a blob like entity barely able to keep its drooping, green form on its seat. "Inventory checked. Any other tasks that need doin'?" Kystion growled, passing a glance to the blob, parts of its body dripping to the floor. The uniformed alien said "As a matter of fact, Ive got to go pick up a package, which means you have to take up the bar. Ussually, I dont let newbies work it, but since Ive got... a select few customers" The grey being looked to the blob, who's gelatinous "mouth" was clamped around the straw in its glass. "That have special needs. That should show me how versitile you are- probably bumping you up from inventory to something more...respectable..."
Kystion snarled "I dont have clean up after this gelatinous waste of space do I?"
The blob looked up from its drink and gurgled something to the bar keep.
"He says, he cant help it if the heat makes him droop- thats why he's in here, to cool off"
"Doesnt change the fact Im not cleaning up after him..." Kystion grumbled.

"Well then, that bit's settled," the commando replied, finally catching up to the machine.

"That is not my concern right now," Grievous replied. "After I deal with my own business and Sassk gets the troops off-planet, if there is a threat from these nanobots, I will try to help. Sassk, you may continue with the operation." Grievous' hologram disappeared as he disconnected...

Grievous switched off his holographic projector just as the last of a batch of badgerlike creatures were blasted into dust by the commandos. "Ah, you made it," the cyborg said to Serephir drily. "I apologize for the delay. I had some potentially galaxy-threatening issues to settle."

"I see....i presume by your ending the conversation that the issue has been handled?" said Serephir as he flicked a switch on the side of his assault rifle, a low hum eminating from it for a few moments before falling silent as the scope took on infrared scanning abilities...

The small machine continued along, eventually coming to what appeared to be the direct center of the city, which was a large circle of concrete, though much of it had degraded over time. Some partially destroyed buildings surrounded them, but the circle itself was fairly clear. Just as it reached the center, a bright beam rocketed off into the sky from some distance away, the size of the weapon alone making it completely visible from their far-off location. "Oh no..." the small machine sighed, looking up as the beam of plasma energy raced out of the atmosphere.

The weapon burst crashed into one of TGDA ships, tearing apart its already weakened shield before burning a molten hole in the craft itself, originating from one of the only mountainous regions of the planet, though energy sweeps of the area would find nothing. The occupants had already hidden themselves from their wardens long ago...to any space-to-surface scans, all was well.

"D*mmit!" Sassk hissed. He pulled his ships away, trying to get out of range of whatever shot at them...

The commando watched the plasma burst rocket into the sky, saying, "What the hell was that?"

Grievous nodded. "There's been a few difficulties, but it should be handled soon, hopefully. Come, we're almost to the salt lake. Let's hope our quarry is still there..."

"Very well" said Serephir, continuing onwards, the VAMCEB Guardians following, keeping an eye out on their surroundings, blowing anything that attempted to attack apart, the plasma assault rifles making short work of most targets...

It didn't take too long for the group to burst out into an open clearing, which was strangely devoid of life. A fair distance away was a medium-sized lake, reeking of salt. Grievous took a good look around, seeing no signs of life, as expected. He cautiously strode into the clearing, two sabers in his hands, but not active. He waved to Serephir, silently ordering him too move up. The commandos stayed in the shadow of the treeline, for the time being...

Kystion stood outside the pub, watching the owner step into a land speeder, the craft being saucer like with two fins in the back, the space between them being flat to hold supplies. The windshield of the shiney silver paneled craft, which pointed up to the sky flipped back down over the cockpit, a click sounding off when it locked into place. There was a dull warbling that eminated from the speeder as it began to hover a foot or two off the ground, before it suddenly shot off down the sandy streets. Kystion saw him off before stepping back into the pub, walking back to the bar, hoping that the patrons that visited the place werent too taxing...

"That...would be the Ark, a name chosen as another mockery of religion, and thus our Makers." the small machine said bitterly, fields changing to red. "This planet used to be almost completely coated in metal, and considering my siblings' primary function, to consume all metal, you can imagine what they could create with all that. The Ark is a massive machine where the Original Ones and their Chosen house themselves, scheming to find a way off the planet." it continued, still looking off into the distance.

The pub door swung open, a relatively plain figure walking into the building, immediately heading toward the bar, wearing tattered cloths, with a dark hooded robe conceal most of his body, including his face. Taking a seat far from the rest of the bar residents, the man stared down blankly, pushing back the robe to rest his scarred arms on the bar.

"And it has some sort of weapon capable of blasting ships out of orbit?" the commando replied. "How convenient. Let's get to a good LZ before it fires again, shall we?"

"We stand on the best landing zone I can think of, my friend. It is not as cluttered as the rest." the smaller machine replied, floating higher into the air. "Presumably, they have such a weapon in case someone decided to try and bombard the planet's surface. What they intend to do now, I'm not sure. Perhaps to clear away your allies before they depart?" the machine guessed, looking back down at the droids.

A crystalline shot glass slammed down infront of the patron, Kystion's hands holding onto it for a split second before he retracted his arm. He growled "What'a ya havin?" To the tattered man. He felt a weird vibe from the stanger... some form of power- drawing his attention almost immediately. He never experianced this before...

"Strongest alcohol you have. Preferably in the next minute." the man growled to the barkeep, eyes still looking down toward the bar itself.

"Strongest brew we got might kill someone...trust me...I took a sip while taking inventory..." Kystion growled, but then shook his head. "If you want it, friend..." He simply said, turning to the rack of drinks. He looked to a particular jug, the brown bottle trembling on the wooden shelf. The cork popped off suddenly. Raising his hand, Kystion made the brown elixer in the jug slither out from the bottle neck. Whipping around, he sent some of the drink into the man's glass, the drink filling the shot up without as much as a spill. "...Just sip it" He finished...

"Well, we're not going to give them the pleasure," the commando replied. "Commander Sassk, I have marked our location with a beacon. Send a shuttle ASAP." Sassk was quick to send a shuttle, making sure it lacked a Hyperdrive before risking to send it down, and the ship rapidly closed on the LZ, staying high in the sky until it reached the location...

Grievous heard a rustle and looked up in time to see a form leap from the trees behind him. Spinning around, the cyborg activated his two Lightsabers, deflecting the blue Lightsaber that slammed into it. Shoving the Koult wielding the weapon back, Grievous got into an attack crouch, but stopped. The Koult, dressed only in animal furs, apparently taken from a Spiger, looked confused. "You... you are not one of them." "One of who, Jedi?" Grievous snarled. "One of those alien warriors. At least, you don't seem to be." Raising a hand, the Jedi continued, "My name is Jolee Bindo, and you are?..." Grievous glared at Jolee, saying nothing. Lissarkh, who hung back, rolled her orange eyes in silent annoyance at her uncle. Jolee frowned and turned to Serephir, offering his hand again...

The man simply grabbed the glass, before taking a large gulp of the liquid inside, slamming it down onto the bar once more, unaffected by whatever properties it had, scoffing at the bar keep...

The small machine waited for the shuttle to arrive, looking around the area to look for signs of its siblings lying in wait...

Kystion raised a scaley eyebrow at the man, thoroughly impressed. As a pirate, he'd had his share of alcohol. And a few swigs of the brew back in the cellar made shivers run down his spine and his body to jitter. Kystion raised up another orb of the beverage, shooting it into the stranger's glass, still trying to make sense of the aura of energy he felt around the man...

Serephir, for the sake of courtesy, gave his own hand forward, shaking the Koult's. "Serephir. my rather irritable friend here is General Grievous, the Supreme Commander of the Trando-Geo Droid Alliance, the faction owning this Star System. I take it your a Koult?" he responded...
