"For now, I want to know what exactly this 'Ripa's' plans are," replied Grievous. "They may or may not be of any concern to us, but the answer may be found in whatever base the Covenant had set up." As he spoke, a tiny chip emerged from the back of his mechanical head, and Grievous pulled it out and handed it to Serephir. "This contains all information I have gained from the Sangheili Armed Forces about the Covenant, as well as the Sangheili themselves, as it seems a few of them are members of the Covenant as well."

Sassk hissed to the machine, "Now then, er, what's your name again?"

"Easy?" Kystion snarled at the man, mood suddenly darkened. "The Ascatian people pride themselves in being able to work against all odds to make something great! Hard work!" He snapped. "That common mindset is one of the few things we have left..." He concluded with a hiss, glancing to the floor, before snarling "Drink all you wish, just leave the credits" The green scaled being started to walk down the table to the other customers...

"Ascatian...Weren't they conquered some time ago? My galactic information may be out of date..." the man said calmly, purposely enticing the bartender.

"We do not possess a 'name', by organic definition. If you wish to call us something, then perhaps 'Guidence' would be suitable, as that is what the Makers called us." the small machine replied, hovering in front of the Transhodan.

"Not the empire as a whole...but something just as painful...our home world" Kystion said as he sling shotted another orb of a beer like drink into a rock skinned being, its body being charcol black with red almost retangular eyes and bumps jutting out of its back. It wrapped its rocky hands around the glass, it was clear that it was trying to hold it without breaking the shot glass. It poured the drink into its mouth, which seemed to be a slack hinge when opened...

"Now we can relate. Being part of a shattered culture is a real pain in the *ss isn't it?" the man said, lifting his glass in a mock toast...

Kystion only grunted in agreement. He didnt want to remeber he was supposed to be a slave to toil away in mines in the flaming bowells of Xordia. Or worse, remain on his home as a salve to the colonies set up on the surface...

"Alright then, uh... Guidance. I have orders from Grievous to keep you here until he gets back," Sassk growled. "Considering you have obviously waited a long time for rescue on that planet already, I don't see how this will be a problem."

"No problem at all." Guidence said happily, its fields changing to green, as it began to float around the room, inspecting various things.

"At least you know where some of your people are...at least, I would assume you do. Me? Its a little more complicated." the man continued, despite not getting much of an answer from the bartender, his drinking obviously starting to effect his state of mind.

"We know the Ascatian colonies offer refuge...but until they stabalize their systems, they are starting to become like this planet" Kystion growled, suddenly feeling immsense sadness. The once proud Ascatian race was on the verge of chaos and destruction. "The others who escaped the home world... we have no idea where they are...probably drifting amongst the stars, like I have..."

"Maybe its for the best? I know I wouldn't want to be in charge of some big organization nowadays...so many *ssholes in the galaxy these days. They don't even have valid reasons for their genocide anymore!" the man rambled on, shaking his head slowly.

"Genocide?" Kystion asked, turning his head to the cloaked figure, "The Ascatians were conquered and some enslaved...but not exterminated..." It seemed like he had found the reason for the man's drinking, his race was hunted down for some reason. It was probably why he had to conceal himself so...

"Oh, and one more thing," Grievous said. "Incarcerating that Sangheili may not be the best idea you have come up with, Serephir. You won't be getting anything out of a Stealth Elite, and he will do his best either to kill you or himself to retain his honor."

"Unless he can find a way of killing through thought alone, he won't get very far" responded Serephir as he took the chip, as the train came to a standstill, a lift waiting to take them up to the Bridge, Serephir entering. "As for the base...i think we could save trouble by scanning it from above with various scanning fields. Infra-Red, Gamma Ray scanning. something's bound to turn up" he added. "IF that fails, we send in ground troops. at the very least, increased activity may drive some of them to retreat to avoid the plan being compromised"...

Grievous and Lissarkh followed their ally. "If it's anything like the usual Covenant base, it should have some sort of plasma-based generator or reactor. Extremely volatile. If we can overload or destroy it, the explosion should be able to destroy the base, and hopefully this Ripa fellow as well."

"Unless Ripa is a very low ranking commander, the possibility that he will be there is slim, to none, to my best guess" responded Serephir as he glanced at them, the lift haulting and the doors opening, Serephir walking down a hallway to the bridge's Command Deck...

"That's depends on what they're looking for," replied Grievous cryptically. "Regardless, I would most enjoy attacking this place as soon as possible. The sooner the Covenant are driven out of territory, the better. When do we begin the operation?"

"Immediately" responded Serephir simply as they walked onto the Command Deck, the Commanders aboard the Fury saluting at the Generals' arrival. "At ease, gentlemen" said Serephir as he walked towards a large table, upon which a holographic tactical map revealed the surface of Florn. the hologram turned dark blue, barely visible for a moment, areas lighting up as the ship's Infrared scanners covered the planet and gave them feedback...

The Covenant base was only a few kilometers away from the salt lake where Grievous and Serephir's forces had been ambushed. The base looked relatively small on the surface, made up of a large pyramid made of sweeping, curved lines. Small objects could be seen flying around the base, most likely Banshees or Phantom dropships...

"Speaking of my own experiences...selfish *ss..." the man said, mumbling the last part, before taking another drink.

"I could have guessed..." Kystion replied. "I told him that drink was strong..." He thought as he watched the man succumb to drunkeness
