"Exactly" Appeared on the page, the excess ink draining back into the tendril. He motioned himself closer to Ira, so that he was sitting in a way her arm draped over his back. It was strange. Aside from the time he was with Blake, this was the only time he felt like he was somewhere he belonged...

Ira sighed quietly, for once able to enjoy the quiet. The corner of her mouth twitched as she thought about how this might look, but she couldn't find it in her to care too much.

The rest of the ink seemed to peel off the page, swinging around back to the tendril it came from, which then slipped back into the ink hound's body. He took one last look outside the window. Perhaps living in secret was for the best. Behind the walls of this place, they could be who they really were, mutants

SpeedFreak stood at the large white wall that kept the ocean from drowning the city, staring out to the horrizon. The inner wall was built at an incline, a ramp that people can go up to walk the length of the breakwater. It seemed like the city had fallen into a strange calm. Sure there would always be the occasional mugger...that didnt become a super powered force of nature, that is; but it seemed for just a few moments the boy could relax... or so he thought. A rippling distortion of light in the corner of his eye caught his attention. He turned his head, looking to the strange construct that had appeared by the line of warehouses to his right. A strange blue craft, definitely not from this world. "What...the f*ck" The hero said, wondering why it just suddenly appeared... further more, wanting to know how long its been there...

He ran along the sea wall, his trademark blur trailing him as he did so. He suddenly leaped off, soaring over the gap between it and the warehouses, landing onto a roof with a soft thump. He crouched down and stared at the ship below, dumb founded. "If only the pants had pockets!" He muttered to himself. "Then I could take my cell phone around...but then It'd probably get broken...no, it'd definitely be broken.."

Inside the craft, the pilot was fidgeting with the control panel. He tapped numerous buttons with the strange alien symbols of his homeworld, trying to acess his fallen cloak. The generator had run out of power, unable to keep up after the flight to the city, and then trying to find a spot to land. A blip then appeared on his main screen, "Bio-signs detected" written out in the symbols. The ship's scanners had picked up on the hero outside, finding him to be mostly human, though his mutation made him register as "Unidentified Life Form". Galaak let out a curse in his native tongue, before bringing his right arm about, tapping in a command on his wrist device, which translated into: "Initiate AI Sequence: E-Doch"

Symbols were written out on the screen in a bright green color, meaning "Hello captain"
Galaak growled "Insert the Nano-tech suit back into the Interface, I thought I wouldnt need it on this planet since its similar to Amrallios but apparently I do"

Part of the panel split, a thin metal arm with a port connector locking into the device, a ring at its very tip giving off a dull green glow. A loading bar took up the device's display, and a few seconds later, "Nano-Tech programmed" appeared back on this ship's main screen. The arm disengaged and moved back into the opening, which then closed. Galaak got up from his seat and began moving down his ship. He activated the Nano-Tech program, and from his device came a strange metalic substance creeping up and over his clothing. His right hand was instantly covered in what looked to be a black metal glove. The rest of his arm, and subsequent body was being covered in a dark blue color, his shoulders having black ridges with a golden ring on each. His head was also covered in the strange 'Nano-Tech suit', except it formed in a helmet of sorts, an orange V-shaped visor, black diagonal stripes at the sides and a golden ring on either side of it, a symbol of an Ascatian Explorer. As he neared a section of the ship, its wall split apart, a rack sliding out into his path, holding his two hand held weapons. One was a silver plated rifle looking weapon with a prong at the very end of the barrel. Before it was a long tube that looked like the chamber in a revolver. Galaak picked the gun off its rack, at his touch it activated, the loose chamber spinning up, volts of blue electricity dancing inbetween the pronged end. The rack then slid back into the wall, which then closed up shortly after. The alien then walked over to the circular panel on the floor, which opened up with a hiss, a beam of light shining through as he then floated back to the ground.

SpeedFreak's eyes widened. "That...isnt a little green man...or is it? Well its not little.." He said. The visitor's head looked about before turning to the roof, his gun glinting in the sun light. "....Aw sh*t" Kevin muttered

In one of Nexus's offices, somebody's printer suddenly began spitting out documents, some containing details of various parts, others describing raw materials.

The Hornet stepped out of an elevator, monitoring the map he'd scanned earlier. He found his way to the office, stepping in calmly and making his way straight to the printer, taking the documents and murmuring "these ones are for me.." Once he'd gotten them all, he went to the door, aiming to find his way back to the work area where' he'd arrived earlier.

The boy and alien stared long and hard at each other. SpeedFreak's thoughts raced through is head. An alien! A real alien and UFO! Just below him! He wondered about making first contact with the visitor from beyond the stars. "Careful Anderson" He thought. "Dont want to start a galactic fall out here..." He inched over to the edge of the warehouse's roof and dropped down, landing in a crouch with a thump. The alien's gaze followed the hero to the ground, watching the boy get back to his feet unscathed. His arm raised, and the boy made a sign with his right hand. Three fingers folded in, two pointing up and apart like rabbit ears. The peace sign.
"Welcome....to....Earth" The costumed boy said slowly, motioning with his other arm as he said 'Earth' to the ground. "We...welcome...you" He continued, outstretching the arm, as if expecting a hand shake. The alien remained unresponsive to the display. Instead, he propped the barrel of his silver plated weapon over his free hand, the spinning chamber ceasing its movement. The crackling electricity died out. In his grumbling voice, Galaak spoke "You jump from a building and yet you havent broken your bones, or complain of pain..."
"Holy SH*T" SpeedFreak yelled. "You speak English?!"
"Fluently. And some other languages that were implanted into my head by that damn machine..." Galaak replied, saying more than he intended. He was quick to change the subject. He asked "Tell me, are you a subspecies of human, or are humans a subspecies of your kind?"
SpeedFreak stared at the alien for a few moments before shaking his head. "No, Im a...mutant...far from anything species wise..." He muttered, trying to make sense of the situation, his mind telling him he was speaking to an alien who knew English and supposedly, other languages; and was now making small talk with him. He rejected that rational. "Wow, Maelstrom must've knocked me around harder than I thought..."
"I understand this might be a new experiance for you, mutant" Galaak began. "Pardon my curiousity...but why do you wear that outfit? Is that so human society knows you are a mutant?"
"More like, to protect my identity" SpeedFreak replied, sitting on the ground with his arms wrapped around his knees. "Im what you'd call a Super Hero...got powers... use them to help people. I thought that'd be the only fitting way to use them" He rested his head on his legs. "Wow this is a lot to take in, the first person to speak to an alien being-" He was suddenly interupted by Galaak. "Incorrect. Though the context is none of your business, you are not the first to speak to me. Those who've spoken to me arent the first to encounter alien life either!" He said, reffering to the supposed explorers of the past.
"Hooray, more revelations!" SpeedFreak said. "So now aliens have been here before! Its nothing new, Ive seen those damn symbiotes before but not an alien and his shi-"

Galaak's eyes widened. This boy... saw symbiotes? As in, more than one? Was he too late? He snarled "Tell...me...everything"
"About what?!" SpeedFreak asked.
"The symbiotes." The alien replied with a grim urgency in his tone.
"They popped up last summer...a doctor had one...then his son got one" SpeedFreak started to say. Doctor Lewis was the first friend Kevin had as his speedy persona. "They werent a problem- aside from the pain in the a*s son...but then this red one appeared...I dont know where it came from. It didnt look like the other two at all...and it acted differently too..like an animal...then one of the originals died, giving rise to another one that calls himself Maelstrom-"
"Amazing" Galaak said. "You've come in contact with four symbiotes and survived..."
"Come in contact?" SpeedFreak asked. "I'd call full street brawls with three of them something more than 'contact'"
"Tell me Earthborn" Galaak growled. "What do you truelly know of these beings?"
"They need to bond with a host" The costumed boy said absent mindedly. "They can regenerate...they have attitude issues...and are weak to high frequency sound"
"Did you know that symbiotes reproduce?" The being in the blue suit asked.
"Oh god!" SpeedFreak yelled, gripping his head. "The mental images! The horror!"
"Not like that you-!" Galaak snapped, mumbling something after the sudden stop in speech. "After maturing in a host, they create a completely new symbiote, with old traits and new traits. If this symbiote was to find its own host, it would result in a symbiote stronger than the preceding generation. Imagine if these creatures created three offspring at a time... the threat level sky rockets. In time, there could be an outbreak of these symbiotes, each with powers and adaptations to over come their enemies. The human race could very well become the 'Symbonic' race"
"Imagine what would happen if other mutants were ensnared..." SpeedFreak wondered.
"Other mutants?" Galaak thought. "Theres others like him?" After a moment of silence, Galaak said "Thats why Im here... to stop that from ever happening...to find these symbiotes and neutralize them"
SpeedFreak sprung back to his feet. "And Ill help!" He exclaimed.
"Thanks, but no thanks" Galaak snarled. "I may be responsible for letting out that new symbiote, when I first crashed here-"
"The Central Park incident?! That was you!?" the hero asked. The alien nodded. "You made one hell of a mess" SpeedFreak said, before adding "I can help clean it up. Ive been battling symbiotes and general scum bags for months, I think I know this city better than an..well...alien"
Galaak fell silent. It was true... he'd need some sort of guide...someone to help track his targets. The boy had experiance, that much he knew. After yet another silent moment, he asked "What do you call your self if not human?"
The costumed boy chuckled. "Im known as the SpeedFreak around these parts" He said proudly.
"Then thats what you will be registered as in my ship's scanner data base" Galaak said, the nano tech suit peeling away at his right wrist. He typed in a command on the device and the suit spread back over. When ever Kevin was in range of the scanners, he'd show up as "SpeedFreak" to E-doch.
"What do they call you?" the hero asked his unlikely alien ally. Galaak thought for a moment. What did his name mean in English? He found a loose translation, and he growled "I would be called...Vapor in your tongue..."
"SpeedFreak and Vapor, symbiote tracking partners...alright" The boy said with a nod.
"It appears so" Galaak replied. The symbiote hunt...had begun...

later that day, Gaara walked into the library, taking a seat in a dark corner, letting his head rest against the back of the chair. once Yoru, Ira and the ink dog had left him alone, he made a couple of phone calls to acquaintences in the city and inquired on the Assassins. he had them go investigating. both acquaintences owed him favours, in one case he owed him his life, so he knew they wouldn't screw around. he had also made sure to make himself appear to be undefeatable as well as merciless, as a kill switch against betrayal. he knew they wouldn't dare cross him. now it was merely a matter of time. he had overheard some discussion in the library earlier, but decided not to invade at the time. he was here to help, and had promised them the Assassins dead or captured. he wasn't going to discomfort them with his presence...

"Well then" Vapor began as the ciruclar panel over head spiraled open. The bright column of light shone down from above. The nearly 8 foot tall figure ascended back into his craft, the door sliding shut afterwards. "....Ok...this is weird" SpeedFreak said as he crossed his arms. "So...what? Do I knoc-" He started to say before the panel slid open once again. The light appeared, and later, so did the alien. He was lacking his gun though. "I dont like having weapons when talking to my allies" He growled. "I think it adds unessecary tension"
"Aw" SpeedFreak replied. "And I liked the big lightning cannon too!"
"Amusing" The alien said. "Since you've agreed to help me neutralize the symbiotes before they can...replicate, I'd like to give you the terms of my space craft- incase there is a time where you are in need of transport-"
"Oh yeah" SpeedFreak interjected. "Your ship... you might wanna park somewhere else dude. This place might look dead now, but late and night and early in the morning, and this place is loaded with dock workers and such. I dont think they'd take bumping into your ship well. Regarding that- why did your ship appear like that?"
"The cloaking generator ran out of power while I was flying here." Galaak explained. "After getting my ship's systems online, it switch to auxillery power, instead of main power, which supplies all functions with adequate resources" He paused to pull up something on his wrist device, and after tapping the buttons a few times, he growled "There, back on the main supply. Now, do you know a better landing spot?"
"I'd suggest somewhere secluded and rarely visited... kinda hard to find considering this is a city..." The boy replied.
"Quite the predicament." Galaak said. "I guess Ill have to do some searching from above"
"Wait!" SpeedFreak said as Vapor prepared to re-enter the ship. "How would I know where you land?" A hand reached into a compartment on his side. It took out a head set looking thing, with an arc that wrapped around a head, with the mouth peice connected to a small circular plate connecting to the arc's right side. "A communicator, two way to the ship. Belonged to an old shipmate that used to explore with me. Parted ways not too long ago" He handed the white device over to the costumed teen, who took it, and with some adjustments, fit it onto his head infront of the lightning bolts at the side of his mask, mouth peice situated over his lips. "Fits pretty well" SpeedFreak said. "So how do I talk to you through it?"
"Press down on that plate to open communication. Press again to close. Simple" Galaak replied, before the entrance opened up again. "We should be meeting again soon. Then I will give you the run down of my ship, ok?"
"Super!" SpeedFreak said with over emphasized optimism.
"...Right..." Galaak said, not getting the boy's attempt at a joke. With another flash of light, the alien entered his craft. A few moments later, the mechanical whirring of it starting up filled the air, the landing skids sliding back into the hull, the ship its self hovering over the boy. Soon afterwards, there was silence, the ship raising up into the air without a noise. It disappeared with a mirage like ripple of light as the cloak reactivated, and just like that, the alien had moved off...

"...Holy....sh*t" SpeedFreak said simply, standing still and staring at where he last saw the ship.

Yoruichi was once again in her wolf form. But this time, she was giving in to her animal form's instinct and stalking a rabbit through the underbrush at the edge of Ira's backyard clearing. Her thick-furred ears were pricked and angled towards the unsuspecting creature. Her upper lip was curled back, sharp teeth glittering in the light. She swallowed an eager growl and crept forward a few more steps. She could smell its warm, wild scent, more enticing than the way humans smelled. She'd always done her best to fight the monster in the back of her mind that urged her to hunt, to catch her meals, not to live the soft lifestyle of humans. But she couldn't fight forever, and better a rabbit in this form than a human while she looked human. One step more...then she sprang out of her hiding place with a snarl. The rabbit froze for an instant before it sprinted for cover. Yoruichi knew she was fast, but if she didn't end the chase quickly, the rabbit would get away. She lengthened her stride. She felt the power in her legs as her paws pounded against the earth. She felt the joy of the chase, the free spirit of a wolf in hunting mode. She felt the bloodlust as her jaws snapped shut on the rabbit's hind leg, dragging it to the earth. She let go only to bite down on its neck, feeling the bones snap as she put all of the force she could on its spine. She shook her head for good measure, the predator's instinct to make sure her catch was dead kicking in. When she dropped it and looked around, panting lightly, her muzzle was smeared with its blood. She put one of her massive paws on its neck, lowering her head to sink her teeth into the small mammal. She had to eat fast - couldn't risk being found. Ira might understand - no doubt she felt the pull to hunt, being as inhuman as Yoruichi was - but the others? She couldn't take that chance.

Ira lifted her head as the scent of freshly spilled blood came to her on the breeze. She was back in her room at her piano, the window open. It doesn't smell human, she thought, taking a deep breath to try and identify whether the smell meant a fast-approaching problem. Smells...like an animal. She felt her shoulders relax as she turned back to the keys. She lived next to the woods; smelling animal blood every now and then wasn't unusual. Out there it was eat or be eaten - and the thought stirred a primal instinct to go hunting herself. Ira quickly suppressed it. Hunting was a bad idea when you weren't a shapeshifter.

SpeedFreak looked down from the afternoon sky and mumbled "2099... year of strange sh*t" He tapped on the plate on the communicator and said "Speedy to ET, Speedy to ET, Knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone!"
"...What?" Vapor's gravelly voice replied at the other end.
"Sweet, it works even when your cloaked." SpeedFreak said. "How does the city look from above?"
"Dishearteningly expansive... buildings everywhere."
"Im thinkin' the folks at JFK might lend a hand" SpeedFreak joked.
"No." Galaak snarled. "Im keeping my stay on this planet as low impact as possible. By time I can fly interstellar and the symbiote issue taken care of, Im flying back to my homeworld and getting reassigned."
"Sheesh, Earth isnt that bad a world to live on. Only in New York city is it a constant hell! Here and Jersey that is. What was your mission anyway?"
"Catalog life in this sector of the galaxy. Sector 13. Backwater turf"
"...Wow. Just because we cant shoot across space like driving down a block doesnt make us ba-" SpeedFreak replied, but was cut off before he can finish his rant
"I think I found some place to land. Trees... near the outskirts of the major parts of the city. Bringing the ship down there. Will send a tracking becon out once I touch down. Vapor out"
And with that, the conversation ended.

The ink hound moved through the woods, looking back and fourth at the random bird soaring through the branches. Just wandering around to take in his surroundings was a favorite past time of his. It allowed him to be...him. A dog. And the woods allowed him to break off from the world of man if only for a moment.

A bone snapped between Yoruichi's teeth, the harsh crack making her shoulders tense as she froze for a second, ears swiveling to make sure she was still alone. Her tongue snaked out to lick the blood from her muzzle even as she listened hard to her surroundings.

after several minutes of silent thought, Gaara stood, checking the room for a map or a book showing an extensive map of the city's structures. looking over a map would help him check possible assassin hotspots off his list...and make it somewhat easier to find a rough area for the assassins while he waited for details. boredom was getting to him. that much, he could tell simply by his current actions. I HATE books...but there's nothing else to do he thought to himself as he looked through the shelves...

A pine cone flew from the ground, sent flying by an ink whip from the hound's shoulder. He jogged after it, whip at the ready, coiled up and ready to spring into his target. In his game, JoJo had wandered a bit farther than he wanted. Not that it was much of a deal. If he couldnt use scent trails to get back, he'd simply fly above the trees, look back towards the city and go home-

There was a sudden wind, unnatrual even. The leaves fluttered about on their branches, dust started scattering about the area. "What the-" The ink hound thought as the pine cone he was playing with flew into his snout and lodged into the bridge of his nose. "...hell" He finished. The ink whip shot out, flicking the pine cone off of him, which then flew backwards in the sudden gusts. Branches around a clearing started bending... something was... landing? Something invisable. The dog stood there, staring. A normal dog..ignoring the situation with the pine cone...would have turned tail and ran. Then, it happened. A wave of light passed over the object that had descended from the sky. The ship appeared in an instant, its three landing gear partially embedded in the soil. The dog sat down, and kept staring. He didnt know what to make of it. He was curious and cautious at the same time. Observation from a distance was the best choice. Maybe he'd go back and tell someone about it.

Inside the craft, Galaak was sifting through all sorts of blips that kept popping up on his main screen. "Unidentified life forms" was written out in the alien symbols, the scanners picking up the largest tree to the tiniest ant in the craft's general vicinity. A quick uplink to the probe- which then accessed the internet- ensured that as the scanners picked up life forms, its browsing of the web would allow them to assign names and classify the data automatically. The process was extraordinarilly fast, most of the plant life already documented. As the blips disappeared one by one, one alert wouldn't go away. The detection of the canine watching in silence. Not paying his messages mind, Galaak said in his Ascatian tongue "Activate Ship tracking device"

There was a pause, before the words "Tracking device activated" rolled across his screen.

SpeedFreak ran about the streets, shooting in between traffic on the busy roads. He wasnt headed in any place in particular when he heard a click. A small plate on his head set had shifted, revealing some sort of projector. A green holograpic map appeared before the hero's eyes, which made him slam his feet on the ground and plant them there. He skidded across the black top, the soles of his sneakers making the iconic noise of rubber on asphalt. Finally coming to a stop, the hero heard car horns blaring behind him, drivers slamming on the breaks, their cars screeching to a halt. SpeedFreak turned around, trying to see through the green grid. "Uh...sorry!" He said feebly to the commuters, who were now sticking their heads out their windows and yelling at him. "Keep your drawers on!" He yelled back, spinning on his heels and speeding down the streets again, leaping up when he was approaching a street light. He swung his body around the light's arc before eventually sitting on it, examining the image before him. A red dot marked his position. A blue blinking light marked the ship's location. "Whats with this guy and the color blue?" SpeedFreak thought, before dropping back to the road (After making sure there was no driver to throw a fit, that is) and hurdling off towards his partner...

Ira let her fingers move over the keys. Gentle, sweet yet sad notes filled the room. After the intro, she began to sing quietly, knowing her voice wasn't the best but also knowing she wasn't a horrible singer. "This is...as quiet as it gets. Hush down now, go to sleep...we were once perfect, me and you. We'll never leave this room. H-h-h-hush, you color my eyes red. Your love's not live, it's dead. This letter's written itself inside out again. When rivers turn to roads, and lovers become trends. H-h-h-hush, this is where it ends..." She fell silent, the piano music filling the silence for a short while before she began singing again.

The boy cut through the city, watching as the red dot grew closer and closer to the flashing one. It wouldnt take long. But there was a line of buildings between him and the alien visitor in the woods. As he approached, he thought "I coulda sworn I was here before..." Shooting down the street, he approached the house he had ran across earlier, but didnt think much of it. He leapt off the ground, momentum letting him shoot right over the house. "The spectacular SpeedFreak!" He said as he soared over the roof with a front flip. As he started his fall back, he muttered "Fence, fence!" He positioned himself for a hard vertical landing, slamming into the backyard with a crouch. "Well that sucked!" He grumbled as he launched himself the rest of the way over the fence. Landing on the untamed grassy floor, the boy sped the rest of the way to the ship, practically already there by now.

Yoruichi nosed the bones of the rabbit for a minute, looking for any scraps she might've missed. When she was satisfied that she'd eaten all that was there, she rose to her feet and lifted her head, looking around and licking the last traces of her catch from her muzzle. She wanted to be sure she wasn't going to be seen changing back into her human form.

Gaara walked up the stairs, a book in hand, this being an old Tolkien novel rather than an atlas or anything remotely close to what he wanted, having failed to find anything. as he ascended he began to wonder why, though all attempts simply drew blanks. as much as he hated to remind everyone he was there, for some reason he couldn't avoid being drawn to the others. Am i really that bored? he thought. here he was. Gaara. The Master of the Sands Himself. climbing up a staircase towards one of the rooms that still had someone in it, with an old fantasy novel in hand. Oh yeah, I am definately that bored he answered himself silently...

The ink dog stared at the craft, wondering what was going on inside it. Quite frankly it was boring just staring. It wasnt moving. There wasnt any noise. Maybe it was some new human contraption? Then there was some pattering noise, growing louder with each second behind him. JoJo turned around, and thats when JoJo saw him-

And thats when Kevin saw the dog. He skidded to a halt, dredging up soil as he stopped just a few feet away from the creature. The two stared at each other long and hard. "Weird" JoJo thought. "The first time I see you when your not moving"
"Aw sh*t. Looks like Maelstrom had an accident...that ensared that dog" The hero thought. He raised his hand up to the head set plate and tapped it. The projection panel slid back into place, and the image flickered out of existance. "...Right..." The boy said softly to himself. He tapped the panel again, and said "Hey Vapor...dont look now, but theres a symbiote outside your space ship"
"...Your kidding"
"Dead serious. Except...its not Maelstrom, or the red little guy"
"You mean...a new symbiote? Thats not good"
"Your telling me. Also, it just happens to be a dog..."
JoJo cocked his head. What the dog biscuit was a 'symbiote'?
"Whats a dog?" Galaak asked.
"Shortest answer? A domesticated animal"
"Strange" Galaak replied on the other end. "Ive only seen symbiotes bond to the dominant species of what ever planet they come across. Most interesting. I have to warn you however..."
"Of what? I think I know by now how to handle these walking sh*t bags-"
"The first generation symbiote shows dramatic signs of violence and mental unstabillity, from what you've told me. This could be passed down to its offspring. And its parent was a human. Sentient being able to control its raw instinct and emotion. Now imagine an animal..."
"Theres a chance this thing's even more ape sh*t?"
"Im almost certain"
"Yippee" SpeedFreak replied, cutting communications. He shot forward. In a series of blurry movements, he sent kick after kick at the hound, finding that though he landed his blows, they would simply pass through the creature, parts blown off its form would shoot tendrils back to where ever they were severed from and pull together again. SpeedFreak leapt back, watching as the dog's form undulated, the force of his hits spreading through it's body, almost like some sort of liquid. "What the hell?" The boy thought. "I think Ive fought Nightmare so much, that when he turned into Maelstrom, he created a descendant with..some sort of flexible skeleton...and a quick repairing symbiote?"

JoJo shook his body side to side, starting with his head, the rest of his body following. When he finished, he sat down and panted, tail wagging.

"Vapor?" SpeedFreak said, pressing the plate.
"Status?" The gruff voice replied.
"Ya...Im not so certain we're dealing with a symbiote here..."

"H-h-h-hush, this is where it ends...this is where it ends..." Her hands slowed to a halt on the black and white piano keys, the music fading out as the song ended. Ira cracked her knuckles and carefully reached up, flexing her shoulder muscles, with a wince at the pain that shot through her upper back, before dropping her arms and cracking her neck twice.

Yoruichi, with a final lick of her lips, started to prepare for the easy transition into her other form. Then, catching an unfamiliar scent, she paused and cocked her head, lifting her muzzle. It was coming from the direction of the woods. What was a human doing there? Following her nose, the girl in the wolf's body started to track the scent to its source.
