"Here's a question to you....do you do your....tech work...in here? or do you have it spread throughout your little penthouse apartment?" asked Gaara...

Tiffany kept her eyes on Gaara, the teenager's eyes narrowed. "All the tech that I have is in this room..." Tiffany spoke, her voice so soft it almost seemed like the wind, the girl's hand pointed at the large amount of machinery in one corner of the large room, the mechanical stuff there mainly consisting of spare wings, armor plating, and even a machanical head in the shape of MR's, as well as various drills, wrenches, and other stuff an engineer would have...

"What is the point of your...game shows..." Galaak asked. SpeedFreak was about to explain, when he heard what the girl said. Acting on impulse, he simply said "Why the F*CK would a sickly person be around machinery instead of in bed? A hospital bed, to be more precise"

Gaara glanced towards the machinery. "So you never leave the room? you should get a smaller apartment. waste of space" he commented idly, glancing towards Meta Ridley for a moment before staring back at the girl...

" This chair that I'm in can be turned into a bed with a simple push of a button. however, I was busy doing research when you startled me by busting down the door. And as for the sand man's question, I don't spend all my time in this one room. I actually spend most of my time in th elibrary, or in the kitchen area..." Tiffany replied, the girl finding it difficult to answer their questions with this illness making it hard for her to think up of good alibies...

Gaara's eyes narrowed at the girl's excuse, especially the part of her doing research before they arrived. she was in no condition to do anything but rest. the Sand Master glanced at Speedfreak. "Have your friend check the apartment for illnesses and cross reference them with what's up with the kid" he said...

"Hey Gal, think your scanners can pick up on things that can cause illnesses? Bacteiria and the likes?"
"Of course. Dont expect me to cross refferance anything though"
"I dont, just do a scan on the girl in here and see if the bug's she's got is anywhere else in the apartment"

Clattering sounded off over the headset. A few seconds later, Galaak said "No. What ever she has, it started off in that room your in."

"Thought as much" SpeedFreak replied. He leaned back and looked to Gaara for a moment. "She's lying, but we both knew that already, eh?"

Tiffany remained calm, her eyes looked over outside the window, where several large rats were chewing on the floorboards. "Even now, I remember the day I got ill... It was several years ago, back when my father was still alive. We were in this very room, when a rat leapt onto me, befor eI managed to knock it off me. After that incident, I became ill, somethnig that would not change even to this day. My father said I had the flu, which came through the scratch marks the rat had made. Since my immune system wasn't the best, the disease stuck, even past my father's death. What form of the flu it is, I do not know, But I have a hunch that it had to do with what that rat carried..." Tiffany responded to what Speedfreak said...

"Predictable" responded Gaara, eyes gaining a suddenly feral look for a split second as he balled one hand into a fist, two distinct popping sounds being heard as Gaara dislocated one of the girl's legs at the knee, and her arm on the opposite side, at the shoulder joint as she was speaking, cutting her story short. "I really don't appreciate being lied to" he said coldly, eyes narrowed...

SpeedFreak turned back to look at the cybrog dragon, legs ready to send the hero flying at the cyborg should it attack. "Common, hit me with your best shot!" He called out to the machine...

Tiffany cried in pain, Meta-Ridley's eyes opened wide as he was about to move forward, only to stop, realizing that it would be best if he didn't take their bait. "What I tell you is the truth! This is not staged, this is not a lie, and this is the truth and only the truth!" Tiffany cried, tears of pain rooling down her face...

another pop was heard as the sand contorted, dislocating another arm. "I told you i don't like being lied to. do it again and i'll cripple you" said Gaara coldly as streams of sand began to swirl around him...

Tiffany still cried in pain, the pain being unbearable, Meta-Ridley unable to stand by idily anymore, THe space dragon leapt form the roof and through the roof, landing between his master and Gaara, blood red filling up the dragon's eyes. What she speaks is the truth! She does not lie! All that she has said is correct! Stop your tortore on her and leave! You call yourself a bringer of justice, yet you pick on and harass harmless civilians!" Meta-Ridley roared, Tiffany looke dat her protector, knowing that she couldn't take the excruciating pain anymore...

"Who ever said i brought justice?" responded Gaara with a cold smirk. "I squeeze the life out of those who harass me. you and your 'master' are among them. and if you try and boulster her lies you'll only hurt her. like i said. i hate being lied to. she wasn't ill before today. hell. she wasn't ill before we ARRIVED. Attempting to lie to me will only get her hurt more" he said as he stared at the cyborg, arms crossed, the sands around him swirling slowly, more of it rising out of the gourd, overshadowing the redhead...

The boy hero swung his feet over the windowsill, planting them on the floor. He stood up and said "And all I do is protect the city from a*sholes like you. The fact I let them live is simply because deciding who lives and dies is beyond my judgment. Let the system handle it. Thats just my opinion, though. I have no problem with...others disposing of the city's trash" Another marker appeared. "Remember those drones?" Galaak said. "Marked their energy signiture"
SpeedFreak chuckled. Definitive proof that this was the place. "Way to go Speedy. You put down some super criminals before they could have lashed out" He thought...

Meta-Ridley, now furious at Gaara, began to charge up a fireball in his mouth, only to stop upon hearing Tiffany whistle loudly. "Fine... You win. The jig is up. THis was all planned for my safety." Tiffany remorsed, the Space Dragon leapt by her side, taking out of his wing a tiny needle, which he then injected into TIffany's neck, giving her the antidote to the Bird Flu virus. "When Meta-Ridley came back to me ealier all battered up and filled with sand and told me that it was you whom did this, I was horrified, knowing that you would come to finish the job... Meta-Ridley didn't want to see me die by your hands, so he did this, to try and protect me from you..." TIffany weakly remarked, a faint smile spread across her face, despite the pain she was in, The Space Dragon also nodded in agreement. "What she says is truly the truth this time. I do, however, have a small problem with spying on things I'm not supposed to..." MR growled, only looking into Tiffany's eyes. Had the ruse continued, he knew that Tiffany would have been killed. So, failure was the only option left...

The boy's eyes flashed to the computer moniter in the background. It had static running across its screen. Why? Why would a computer be like that-

then it hit him. It wasnt a computer. It was a display, like for security cameras. Like for spy drones. "Your...quite stupid arent you? To keep lying? Why the hell did you send spies after him if you feared for your lives?" The boy asked, shaking his head. "Ive seen pretty sad people as a super hero but you take the cake"

" Like I said earlier. We knew that Gaara was coming sooner or later. The question was, when? Thus, those spy wasps were used so that we could know precisly when you were arriving. If I had been given the virus too early, I'd be too ill to speak, or even sit up. Too late, and you would have instantly known that it was all a setup. I guess, however, that it really didn't make any diffrence..." Tiffany calmly stated, the needle that MR had given her also began to take effect...

"Had you behaved yourselves and learned from the last encounter, you wouldn't've needed to worry about me. your persistence in harassing me however...made me decide to follow up on my inquiry" said Gaara, the sands around Tiffany shifting a bit more, pulling at the dislocated limbs to make them even more difficult to recover, as well as inflict pain on the girl. "You should really learn to keep your nose out of others' business...or else both of you will wind up dead" he added coldly, glancing at both the girl and the cyborg, a scraping sound becoming audible in the room, though the source was difficult to determine...
