The Phoenix, having the same idea, flew through the heavy cloud of dust as well, gliding on its "wings" instead of flapping, to avoid disturbing the dustcloud and giving away its position. It searched around, looking for the Parasite Queen, using its telekinesis to search around for movable objects. If it found one, it would have to be the Queen, as there was nothing else on the open battlefield.

The parasite Queen looked around, before having the feeling that something jus tpassed above her. using the dustcloud to her advantage, the insect swung her tail upward, striking the bird across the chest, the force of the blow sending the Phoenix crashing to the ground 200 meters away, the insect followed up with an acid spray aimed at the bird's back...

[Evil Eye]

The Phoenix allowed itself to fall down, letting the force of the blow from its foe's tail carry it faster and faster, gaining massive momentum and speed. Just before it was about to hit the ground, about 30 meters up, the massive bird-like creature entered warp space, upside down arcing over the floor, and flying back up above the PQ, all of this happening within milliseconds. The Phoenix exited warp space, seeming to appear fairly far behind the PQ, and unleashing another shot of darkfire at it.

The insect roared in pain as the flames hit it, the Parasite queen quickly leapt to the side befor eshaking it's tail, trying to extinguish the flames on it's body. That's it. This bird has just signed it's own will. The insect's tail opens up, before firing off a sub-sonic blast of wind at the Phoeenix, the flames left on the ground being caught in the blast, turning it into a firestorm...

The Phoenix covered itself with its wings, avoiding the brunt of the windstorm. In a surprise move, the Phoenix then opened its wings, the darkfire near it moving toward it and getting "absorbed" by the bird, who closed its wings once more after.
Its eyes, glowing purple, appeared just above the top of its wings, which were folded in front of it. A black mist swirled around The Phoenix, spreading around the room from the wind that the Parasite Queen had used, shrouding the building in darkness, the only things visible being flashes of purple as the remains of the darkfire in the room blazed, the black haze giving The Phoenix the advantage.

The Parasite Queen looked all ove, the insect's sense of smell kicking in, pinpointing the location of the Phoenix. Ready to end this fight fast, the PQ fired off two globs of acid, one aimed for the estimated location of the head, the other at the feet...

[Evil Eye]

A huge flash was visible, along with the roaring sound of an explosion. A wall of darkfire had risen up in front of The Phoenix, the second glob hitting it, causing the massive bomb-blast. The first glob had gone under it, hitting the walls behind The Phoenix, a faint sizzling sound audible as it corroded them slightly.
The Phoenix warped downward, and let out a blast of darkfire, illuminating the area in purple slightly, before warping to its right, doing the same thing, and following suit after warping upward and back to the left, keeping the PQ guessing at its location...

The Parasite Queen, sensing the heat, shifts to the side, the image of the Phoenix becoming visible for a brief split second from the flashes of darkfire, the insect fires off a stream of acid at the location of the image...

The Phoenix continued its warping strategy, illuminating one area, then quickly warping to another.
Another massive explosion was heard, and felt, as the acid hit the darkfire; simultaneously, The Phoenix illuminated yet another area to the left of the explosion, indicating it had warped just before it happened.
Deciding to go on the offensive, the bird illuminated another spot, on the PQ's right, slightly below it, to distract it. An instant later, a burst of darkfire rained down on it from above, distracting it further.
The Phoenix rushed in from slightly below the PQ, in real time, angling upward in very small amounts until it was level with the Queen.
The Phoenix was visible in the PQ's eyes for a brief moment; the bird seemed to be aiming for the head of the Queen, until, seconds before impact, it disappeared, warping, and appearing below the PQ once more, smashing it in the chest, and sending it flying backwards into a wall...

The PQ roared in pain as it was sent flying through the air, the insect's back slammed against the wall, then slid down onto the ground, the arthropod rolled onto it's legs, the insect began to fire sub-sonic blasts in every direction, trying to flush out the birdie...

The Phoenix made it's way high up, flying through warp space to the top of the building, finding itself hovering in a high roof corner. The sub-sonic blasts had to travel far to get to the bird's location, greatly reducing their effectiveness.
The large bird tried to shoot darkfire at the PQ, but to no avail; it was too far out of range. Still staying in the corner, The Phoenix covered itself with its wings once more, only it's glowing eyes visible above its wingtips. Suddenly, the wall behind the PQ began to crack and groan, as a large layer of it broke off and fell down upon the Queen, through The Phoenix's telekinesis...

The Parasite Queen, having heard the wall begun to crack behind her, leapt forward, barely dodging the crashing wall, the insectslammed it;s tail forward, before firing off another sub-sonic , this one meant for clearing away the mist...

[Evil Eye]

The mist cleared away slightly in the lower part of the building. However, the sub-sonic blast's effectiveness was once again reduced as it traveled further and further, and so most of the top half remained shrouded in the black haze.
The Phoenix, using its telekinesis once more, caused the piece of ground the PQ was standing on to crack off, and lift up, carrying the PQ. It tilted and slammed backwards into the wall, sandwiching the PQ in between...

the piec eof ground pinning the PQ to the wall began to dissolve, before turning into acid, the PQ landed on the ground, before firing her acid spray at where she estimated the Phoenix to be...

The Phoenix's eyes widened as it just barely saw a spray of the creature's acid fly next to it.
The massive bird flew across to the other corner, so that it was situated somewhere above the PQ. Using the darkness to its advantage, it dive-bombed the creature, plunging straight down into a nose-dive. It suddenly popped out of the dark haze layer, appearing in full sight to the PQ, and swept above it, firing off a blast of darkfire, aimed at the creature's tail, before arcing back up and into the dark mist once more...

The Parasite Queen, seeing her chance to strike the bird, fired off another sub-sonic blast, this one blasted the oncoming flames away, then spiraled upward, striking the Phoenix in the back, forcing the bird to crash land on the ground, where the PQ could see it. Now, it was within her killing range. Snarlnig in hunder, the PQ charged forward, mouth agape, phazon and acid drippnig from it...

[Evil Eye]

The Phoenix sailed toward the ground, irritated, its "wings" outstretched, attempting to fly again. Down it went, until it regained control at the very last moment, flipping over so that it was upright. Its feet skimmed the ground, the bird heading straight toward the PQ. The Phoenix aimed more flurries of darkfire at it, almost surrounding the beast with it. Once more, it arced upward just before colliding with the PQ, disappearing into the cloud of black mist above, using the exact same tactic as earlier, except with one small difference this time; as the PQ was distracted by the darkfire, the outside tip of its tail imploded, collapsing in on itself and becoming useless, by means of Phoenix's psychokinesis...

The Parasite Queen howled in pain, it's tail now too damaged to use. Now, it only had two ways of dealing damage to this bird... the insect fired off a stream of acid upward, knowing that the second the acid hit the bird, the mother of all explosions would occur from fire touching acid...

[Evil Eye]

The Phoenix executed evasive actions, barrel rolling over to its right as the acid was fired at it, so that it sprayed past its left side. It then revealed its deadliest weapon combination; up until now, it had only been shooting darkfire from its beak, likely leading the PQ to think that was the only place it could come from.
The flat floor the PQ stood on cracked in an irregular circle around it, and came off the ground, acting as a platform that carried it directly under The Phoenix, via telekinesis.
Suddenly, the darkfire that covered the bird blazed, and darkfire shot out of its "tail", hitting the PQ directly in the face, and forcing it backward, causing it to fall off the makeshift platform and careen to the ground...

The dust faded, the Parasite Queen completly on fire, roasting her, the insect thrashed around, trying to save it's life, but it was all in vain,the PQ's body cracked, and split apart, the insect dead...
