I dunno, the limiting of demons to melee and holy creatures to ranged is a bit weird. I mean, saying that the majority of demons are melee makes sense, but completely limiting players to that is a bit much in my opinion.
And a word of warning: Mythos is not always a good idea with RPGs/E-wars. If you really have a huge back story, then the RPG might suffer from FRPG syndrome: Its too complicated for its own good. We (Or should I say, the rest of the staff, I had minimal contact with FRPG's creation process >.>) ended up making FRPG's mythology and history so complex that two things happened:
1, the topic was, excuse my crudeness, TL;DR. That stands for "Too long; didn't read". People were intimidated by the length, and didn't want to read through it completely. Then they'd try to fill the slots that FRPG has already established (Generic king of the world) and were yelled at for f*cking the RPG up.
2: As I said, people want power. Even if they can't actually get it, the illusion that it is possible keeps people going. In FRPG, we established every position you can think of ahead of time, and people were then "forced" to pick lesser roles. This is part of FRPG's downfall, in my opinion. Notice, most of our more successful RPGs are totally free in terms of background.
ISS: JP universe, you are a dinosaur, go crazy.
WRPG: Warriors universe, you are a cat in the wild, go crazy.
SHRPG: Generic superhero universe in NYC, you are a super hero or villain, go crazy.
See what I mean? Explaining things is one thing, but making things too complex is a serious issue.
