Even as it fell, Zeligrav lashed out with it's tail, knocking Tyvexious's right foot out from under the mech, causing the GDF weapon to fall. Getting back to it's feet, the saurian beast surrounded itself with black smog again before using a small flame to create numerous explosions, though the explosions were not aimed at damaging the mech. When the explosions cleared, what was left in the place of Zeligrav was a hole in the ground...

Tyvexious' jets kept it from falling, launching a short distance away before righting itself in mid-air. The mechanical monstrosity kept itself airborne, knowing that the lava spawn returned to the ground...

Destroyah falls over but quickly gets back up, firing his oxygen destroyer beam at G1's chest.........

The ground several meters away from the two mechs suddenly erupted, as though the Lava spawn was emerging. However, Zeligrav did not emerge from the ground, having simply performed the act to decieve them for a momment and to make it so that they would have no idea when he would actually surface...

A hyper maser beam scored across the broken earth, resulting in a series of large explosions as it moved. Meant to intercept the creature as it broke the surface, the explosions did, however, have another unintended effect: Collapsing portions of the tunnel underneath it.

G1, again uneffected by the beam, fires a silo missile, this one of different composition than the others. The large warhead slams down upon Destroyah's head, a cadmium missile. Almost instantly after detonation, the mutant's upper torso is coated in an icy sheet, sparkles of frost raining down around the giant, G1 preparing a follow up...

Destroyah lets out a loud roar, his form being frozen, the crustecean's one weakness being exploited, Destroyah now having basically no means to attack past his tail until he manages to thaw himself out..............

Hearing Destroyah's bellow and the missle explosion, Zeligrav's head emerged, the beast having indeed been hit by what Tyvexious's beam had made collapse, but had burrowed away before too much could fall onto it. Opening it's jaws, the lava spawn fired it's heat beam into Destroyah, the ice starting to melt from the intense heat, now weak enough so that the demon like monster could move. Dircting the beam into the ground, Zeligrav created a dust cloud that blocked him from view to at least allow him some time to return his head underground, even if the mechs did fire on him...

G1's arms are pointed at Destoroyah, the maser turrets at them lining up their target. Seconds later, they fire, purple beams of electricity hitting the mutant's chest and abdomen. Missiles fired out of their ports, the barrage arcing around and slamming into the stricken mutant's body, while a silo missile and hypermaser blast are unloaded in a ruthless display of weaponry. Some of the missiles arced over to Zeligrav exploding against his head and causing his tunnel to collapse upon him...

[TyrannoTitan]

Tyvexious, waiting for the beast to emerge, fires another blast from its hyper maser, explosions appearing all around the lava spawn's head before it can pull itself back underground. The metal behemoth pointed both palms toward the other monster, battering it with rapid fire maser blasts...

Destroyah roars in anger and pain, the crustecean's shell beginning to crack and bleed out from the sheer amount of firepower being pumped into him, the claw like structure on his chest bleeding, blood running from the crustecean's mouth, Destroyah managing to get to his feet, staggering about like a drunken person before slowly lumbering forward, looking dazed and bloodied, almost as if he isn't focusing on anything..........

Zeligrav snarled from the hyper maser shot and as part of his own tunnel collapsed on him. Black smoke appeared around the lava spawn before a flame ignited the gas, a series of explosions destroying the chunks of earth that had fallen on it, relesing the monster. Having seen the state Destroyah was in before the hyper maser hit it in the face, the Lava spawn decided that it was best to retreat before he ended up like the other monster and live to fight another day. With this, Zeligrav began to burrow away from the site of the battle, heading in the direction of an uninhabited island to rest and heal...

With that, G1 stopped his barrage. His buzz saw started spinning up as he walked towards the battered monster. With a swing of his arm, the weapon is launched, crossing the distance between the mech and the monster quickly. The cable hit the back of the monster's neck, the blade swinging around and lodging itself in Destroyah's throat, the plasma coated blades slicing in with ease. A sharp tug from G1 wrenched the blade back out, leaving a nasty, deep bleeding gash on the monster's throat...

Tyvexious bellowed in victory, though it was not their intention to let one of the monsters flee. However, one death was good enough...

A good fight, but a little one sided. As I said, me and CS have past experience in the whole tag teaming business. Also, Destroyah's oxygen destroyer attack doesn't really effect mechs much, as they don't breath nor does oxygen deprivation effect their metal.

I feel that my main mistake was that I kept focusing too much on trying to force Tyvexious and G1 into close range combat.

It almost worked out for me until CS cut Destroyah's wing membranes.

Destroyah's oxygen eating attacks would've been effective on a cyborg, but yeah, he's useless against mechs unless he gets into melee range.

Aircrest Vs Bane (Clashing Claws)
Location: Isla Sorna, Jungle region

Aircrest sat on his moss covered tree branch, crouched as he stared at the Dromesaurus, vines hanging down from the leafy canopy of the steamy jungle..

[Evil Eye]

Bane looked at his opponent, sitting on a branch across from him, his head cocked to one side like a bird. His deadly toe-claw scraped the wood below him repeatedly, leaving a small mark below his right foot.
He snarled, and jumped off his own branch, leaving two deep gashes in the bark, flying straight toward the raptor on the tree...

Aircrest suddenly jumped straight up as Bane neared, swinging his legs downward as the dromeosaurus passed under him. Aircrest's claws raked across his back before the green raptor kicked off, launching himself higher into the trees and throwing off Bane's balance...

[Evil Eye]

As the raptor was kicking off him, Bane gripped the mossy branch Aircrest had been standing on, and jerked himself upward, sending the raptor upward, and jarring him against a higher branch.
The dromeosaurus took that to his advantage, and jumped forward, off the branch, onto another leafy tree, hiding him from Aircrest's sight, not letting him know where the dromeosaurus was...
