Noga splayed his mandibles in a Sangheili smile. "I'm beginning to like you, human," he growled. Suddenly, he leaped up to his feet from his sitting position and rolled backwards, spinning around and pulling out his Energy Sword, activating it as he did so, threatening to disembowel Serephir in one stroke...

Serephir's crossed swords split as the Elite moved, Serephir blocking the swing with one blade as a boot slammed into the Elite, knocking him back, Serephir assuming a defensive stance...

Noga's shields flared as he was kicked, but did little stop him. Stepping forward again, he swung with an overhead slash at his foe...

swinging a blade up to intercept, sparks flew as Serephir's sword made contact with a particularly powerful blow, the General sending the Field Master into a turn, forcing Noga to give his back to the General, Serephir leaping backwards and landing in a crouch, blades at the ready. "A blow to the back is a shame to any warrior. I'll grant you enough respect to avoid leaving a mark there...for your reputation's sake" he said...

OOC: Noga is a Field Master, not an Honor Guard.

Noga turned to face Serephir and growled, "That is a mistake you will soon regret, human." The Elite took a step forward and feinted to the right, pretending to swing at him from that direction, only to suddenly step to the left and stab straight at his chest...

Serephir twisted to the side, dodging the blow, before swinging his sword into Noga's shoulder...

Noga spun to face Serephir, bringing his free hand up to catch the human's as it descended, stopping the blow before it connected. The Elite's iron-hard muscles tightened, and he spun, letting go and slamming Serephir into the nearby corridor wall several feet away, watching as he slid to the ground...

Black fire suddenly wheeled around in mid air, 2 of her long scythe like claws swinging out and smashed into the Hopper's side, lodging into it's carpace, the two still travelling backwards. She swung in her other claws as well, holding the bug in position, while attempting to impale it with her stinger, trying to kill it before the other two hoppers caught up with them, still some distance away.

The Hopper screeched angrily, jabbing its own stinger repeatedly into the Scout to try and dislodge it...

Blackfire's stinger rammed right through the hopper's mid section. the Raka-anra scout jabbing two of her scythes in to the wound as well, widening it. With a sudden jerk, she tore the Hopper in half, her six limbs ripping it in different directions. Covered in blood, she pressed on, past the workers enclave...

The remaining Hoppers buzzed after Blackfire, heedless of their comrade's death. Once she passed into the mountains, however, they pulled off, satisfied that she was out of their territory and flying back the way they had come...

Blackfire continued on, glancing back, expecting to see the Ambush taking place, only to find that the hoppers had broken off, and the other hopper was dead too long at this stage, she wouldn't be able to discern any info regarding it's origin from it, she'd just lost a key lead on this planets occupants.

Regardless, she buzzed down towards its corpse to investigate, changing her pheromones to indicate to the workers that danger had passed...

The Hoppers had soon disappeared from sight, but other Arachnids were beginning to emerge. Larger, spiny Ripplers replaced their Hopper cousins, buzzing around the airspace of the barren plain, in case the Scout came back...

Deep in an isolated system, a single, generic cargo freighter drifted, useless, near a large gas giant, though it hadn't entered the planet's gravitational pull. Encrypted messages were being sent from the freighter, but the ship seemed dead in space otherwise...

The Scout quickly found the mangled remains of the hopper, using her claws to snag both ends and hauling it into the air, back towards the mountain.

Stray Wolf and the rest of the party continued in silence, watching in awe as the drone fell apart, more shells hammering into it, ensuring it was destroyed.

An alien ship approached, Koult, slowing down as it neared the battle space, weapons active, trained on the dying machines.

The armed Koult vessel truly was a sight. It was shaped like a broad sword, aimed upwards and angled backwards. Two long arms stretched out from it's side's, holding the ship's main guns and batteries, it's artillery piece, a 3 barrelled weapon, was extended from just above the arm mount, the bottom, where the hilt should be, bristled with sensors, visibly linked to the control unit placed just behind the 'blade' of the ship.

An alarm sounded on the deck of Stray Wolf as they were suddenly bombarded with a wave of radiation, obviously being scanned by the Koult. No one had expected a military presence here. This was more than a parasec away from their controlled space. This was serious business.

"Sir, we're picking up encrypted messages, sent from the far side of the planet," came a voice, through the black-cloaked figure's communication.
Naz'hvøg glanced toward the door. Though his head had many electronic aspects to it, he could speak in a relatively normal voice, with no digitized scratches.
"I'll be there in a minute. Can they be intercepted, and translated?" he asked.
"Perhaps," came the response, "but it may take some time."
"Make it so," replied Naz'h, peering down over a deck to look at a medium sized electronic device, being worked on by a few officers...

The bridge of the MSV Strontium Mule was way too crowded for Captain Vorhess' taste. The Batarian Blue Suns merc didn't want to take any risks however. The mercenaries on the bridge with him were his best and most trusted men, including his personal bodyguard, and for good reason. He had picked up an incoming ship on sensors, and he wasn't going to lose his cargo now. Not after all the crap he had to deal with from the ship's captain. Turning away from the bridge's viewport, Vorhess sent a message to one of his squads on the lower deck of the ship: "Dax, I don't think that ship is going to leave. The fools may try to board. The airlocks are sealed, so don't waste your time. Unlock the emergency door in the cargo hold and be prepared to 'welcome' our guests. Blow them out the cargo bay doors when you're done." Vorhess smiled and turned calmly back to the viewport. He could hardly believe he was getting paid for this...

Arriving at the bridge of his small ship, Naz'h sat down in the middle seat of the three, large booths that had been made for senior officers.
Behind him, and to the right, the same officer called out, "It appears they're holding valuable cargo, and they just went into a code yellow. Orders?"
The calamaphor responded, "We'll give them a chance to cooperate. Open communications, and hail them."

The freighter, despite receiving a hail, did not respond, despite the obvious life signs aboard. Either the people on the ship didn't want to reply, or its communications relay was disabled, which was likely, considering the ship had been heavily damaged in a recent firefight....

Meanwhile, Vorhess' second-in-command, a human named Sergeant Boortis, was at the opposite end of the upper deck from the bridge with his squad. The Blue Suns mercs were busy trying to unlock the tall, cylindrical crate that held the cargo they were after, but it required encrypted codes only the captain of the freighter had. Vorhess was interrogating him, but Boortis had no idea how that was going. He certainly wouldn't want to be that guy...

Vorhess' interrogation had failed, and the Batarian had long since killed the human and had found the codes encrypted in the ship's log. He wasn't too eager to open the crate up yet, though. He barely trusted Boortis, and he had to make sure these intruders were dealt with first...

"No response," came the officer's voice from below.
"Very well," said Naz'h, with a slight smirk. "Prepare to move in. Battle stations, and shields up," he commanded. The command was repeated to the lower decks, and the ship started moving at a medium pace, making it's way around the gaseous planet...

Vorhess spotted the incoming ship. Knowing they would try to board, he barked into his comlink, "Dax, get your team ready! They're getting ready to board..."
