Reaching in range of the ship, Naz'h's personal ship, dubbed the "Bane Of Mors", stopped.
Naz'h reached a hand to side of his hood, putting two fingers on the side of his head.
"Weapon systems," he said quietly to Kh'nez, his first mate, who sat next to him.
"Affirmative," he hissed back.
A red flash could be seen from the front end of the ship, before a laser, proportionate to their ships size, shot at the enemy vessel, aiming for it's side...

Serephir pushed himself off the wall the moment he hit it, walking towards Noga, seemingly uneffected by the toss, sparks flying from the ground as the blades scraped against it, Serephir crossing them in front of him before slashing in front of him, bringing them back to his sides...

The harmless freighter rocked back from the blast, its hull already badly damaged. Vorhess staggered with the blast, shouting, "What in the hell do they think they're doing?!" "We have a hull breach in one of the starboard compartments!" one of the Blue Suns troopers shouted. "I don't give a d*mn!" Vorhess snapped back. He couldn't care less about the freighter. It was just a generic model, and the only thing of interest was the cargo they had found, which this d*mned pirate ship was about to destroy! The Batarian snarled, "What do those idiots think they're doing? Why would they just shoot a damaged cargo ship?"

Noga stared Serephir in the eyes, his gaze not wavering. As Serephir stepped closer, the Elite took a leaping dive forward, rolling past Serephir with blurring speed and leaping to his feet. Spinning around, out of reach of the human's blades, he waited for Serephir to turn around, chuckling slightly...

While the ship was focused on the BoM, the shuttle that had been lurking on the other side of the planet came speeding into view, from behind the freighter.
Naz'h allowed his smirk to become broader as the shuttle came to a halt, in direct contact with the stern of the freighter, ready to load out it's small squad of fighters into the freighter...

just as Noga chuckled, a gash split into his armour at the upper arm, lower arm, upper leg and lower leg, the gash having steadily widened from razor thin to easily a centimeter wide since he leapt at Serephir, whose reaction had been so fast it was almost unseen, Noga's focus on his direction and movement meaning he overlooked the slit second flick that was the visible part of Serephir's movement. Noga had been struck as he leapt at the General. "Your arrogance will be the end of you, Sangheili" said the Vardian General as he turned, tiny droplets of the elite's blood adorning the blade's edge...

Vorhess detected the shuttle as it boarded the freighter through the cargo bay's emergency door, and he grinned. "Not as dumb as I thought, are you?" he growled. "Get ready to take them out!"

The cargo bay itself was quite large, filled with crates piled high atop one another along the walls. The middle of the bay was mostly empty, to provide easy access to the short ramp leading up to the door deeper into the ship. A few crates littered the center of the cargo bay, however. Otherwise, it appeared to be completely empty. The emergency door opened straight through the floor on the opposite of the cargo bay from the doorway...

Noga's chuckle turned to a snarl as his shields recharged, not flinching at the wounds. He leaped forward, slashing sideways at Serephir's stomach while the human was taunting the Field Master...

Serephir blocked the swing with one blade, the other swinging down onto Noga's blade arm with the intent of severing it...

Noga caught Serephir's arm with his free hand, stopping the blow. Forcing him to stick his blade outwards, his Energy Sword still locked with the human's other sword, Noga viciously headbutted Serephir, letting him go at the same time and making him stagger back. Noga's shields likely softened the blow, but the power of an Elite's head colliding with a human's was still brutal...

Serephir shook his head clear, as he twisted his blades, taking on a defensive stance, one blade crossed in front of him, the other arched overhead, pointing forward...

As Serephir moved into a defensive stance, Noga continued to press forward, swinging down to knock the human's blade away from his front, simultaneously kicking him in the chest to knock him out of his posture...

Serephir's second blade came down as Noga kicked, ripping through the shield and impaling Noga's leg before it hit him, pinning it into the ground, as Serephir's second blade swung in again, across Noga's chest, leaving a dangerously deep gash across his torso, Serephir pulling the sword in the leg free, flicking the edge forward as he did so, the blade ripping up through the edge of Noga's upper jaw, leaving a notably deep cut through the upper jaw, scathing the bone and splitting the armour over the head, as Serephir reassumed his stance...

Noga fell, clutching his leg, his Energy Sword falling to the ground. Glaring up at Serephir, he spat a wad of purple ichor at the human's feet. "Well, human? Kill me! My death will be an honorable one, at least!"

Sparks lined the backdoor of the cargo hold, as a spinning blade cut a circle near the bottom of it.
Stepping back, the human who had cut the hole dropped a small, black object through it, letting it roll out into the room a little.
A red light began to blink on it, along with a beep that got faster and faster as the grenade rolled into the room...

Serephir stepped back, eyes narrowing, as Noga's entire body lifted off the ground, caving in on itself, reduced to a small lump of sangheli flesh and armour, condensed to the size of a golf ball, the lump dropping to the ground, all electronics and equipment on the Field Master ground to the point it was useless, to evade a possible last stand suicide bomb, Serephir's gaze drifting to Huka, the Sangheli major...

The cargo bay was empty at the time, so when the grenade exploded, it did little...

Huka stared in shock and what was left of Noga, then snarled, "You filthy rat! Have you no shame?!" He raised his Plasma Repeater. "I'm going to--" He was cut off as his head exploded. As the Sangheili Major toppled to the ground, the Geth sniper from earlier stood in the doorway at the far end of the hall. Its single eye locked onto Serephir, before it suddenly turned and sprinted out of sight. Lissarkh hissed, "Maybe we should follow that thing. I'm sure you'd like to ask it some questions."

As the smoke poured out of the grenade, two humans stepped out of the emergency doorway, wearing gas masks, and using the thick haze it created as cover to move undetected. They raised their rifles as they crept forward, followed by a couple more, apprehensive...

The door on the far side of the cargo bay opened, a small group of Blue Suns Troopers streamed out. They were mostly human, with a few Turians thrown in. They were all wearing sealed armor, unharmed by the smoke. The humans were armed with assault rifles, and they stayed back, hiding behind stacks of crates while they waited for the intruders. One of them was even armed with an anti-personnel rocket launcher. The Turians, armed with shotguns, moved into the smoke, their eagle-sharp eyes better at piercing the smoke cloud, even with their helmets on. A single squad commander, a Batarian Blue Suns Legionnaire, stayed back in the doorway, armed with a burst-fire rifle. Holographic panels projected from the Legionnaire's blue-and-white armor, which was a visible giveaway that he was shielded. The Blue Suns squad scanned the edge of the smoke as the Turians soldiers pressed into the cloud, shotguns at the ready...

The two in front, armed with machine guns, raised a hand, signaling for the rest to move in. The squad commander, a Koult holding a heavy machine gun (SAW) came out, sweeping to the right, followed by a team of nine, made up of both Humans and Koults all armed with machine guns and SMGs. Forming up, they moved into position behind whatever cover they could find; crates, equipment, and alcoves in the walls around them...

One of the Turians raised a hand, stopping his men. "Hold it, we've got movement," he said. Pulling a disc-shaped device from his belt, the merc tossed it ahead of him. The device hit the ground a distance away, closer to the incoming pirates, before violently exploding. The Blue Suns were a safe distance from the blast, but the pirates weren't...

Many of the fighters saw the disk as it flew through the smoke and landed, and managed to dive out of the way. Even so, the two humans who had entered the room first were killed by it, and the last Koult from the right flank line was injured. It's armor protected it from the majority of the blast field, but it had blood running down its arm and side.
As soon as the explosion had occurred, the shooting had started, almost by reflex. The Squad Commander ducked to the right from behind his crate, aiming his SAW at the crates and various forms he could see through the smoke, which was slowly clearing away. The bullets from his LMG were large and thick, and would likely tear through most armor the Blue Sun Mercs were wearing.
Meanwhile, four Humans had stepped out from a niche in the wall, and began firing at the nearest Turians with their light SMGs.
"So it begins," Kh'nez commented from back in the main ship...
