"Wouldn't you like to know?" The Legionnaire growled angrily. Hell, even HE didn't know what it was. Captain Vorhess didn't tell them much about what they were after, other than the fact that it could be sold for quite a bit on the galactic black market. "Listen pal, I don't think you know who you're messing with. We're the Blue Suns! You don't just steal a ship from the Blue Suns! There's dozens more of us on board, so unless you think you can beat every one of us, I suggest you pack up and go home."

After relaying this information back to the BOM, the SC said, "Unfortunately, that's not an option for us. As fate would have it, we're slowly going downhill. We need money, and you seem to have cargo which will grant us that."
A sudden suspicion seized him: "You're not with the Romulans, are you?"

"I don't who the hell you're talking about," the Legionnaire replied. "And as for your money, you think we give a d*mn? Go find your own salvage!"

Serephir walked onwards, eyes scanning his surroundings intensely, even if he didn't move his head. the visor that arced over his left ear and diagonally in front of his left eye identified every detail worth noting the moment it was in sight, making sure Serephir always knew what was around him, helping him build strategies when needed...

It was only a few minutes of walking through winding corridors and large chambers that Lissarkh could only guess at their purposes, before they arrived at a tall, elegant-looking door. Two Honor Guards flanked the gate, and immediately stood at attention as their commanding officer opened the door and led everyone inside...

The room was huge, extended back several dozen meters. Catwalks lined the sides, where busy Grunts, Drones, and Engineers zipped to and fro, through doors and into other parts of the facility. At the far end of the chamber was a massive array of holograms and screens. Two of the screens had faces on them: one of a Skaven Warlord, and one of some massive machine-like entity, though Lissarkh could see the occasional Dalek float by it on the edges of the screen. General Grievous, his commandoes, and the remaining VAMCEB troops were already in the chamber themselves, also flanked by various Covenant and Geth troops. "Glad to see you were able to make it," the cyborg said calmly. He sent a private message to Lissarkh and Serephir at the same time: "I managed to discreetly plant some charges on the facility's reactor before we were captured. I suggest finding away out of here so I can detonate them."

Talking to the Skaven and Dalek leaders were three Covenant: a Prophet, floating quietly in his hoverchair; a Brute War Chieftain, who stood nearby with his arms crossed; and a single, monstrous Elite, wearing silvery, ornate armor Lissarkh recognized. It was the one who had stabbed the Koult Jedi earlier. "I assure you, Gnawdwell," the Elite said in a deep, gruff voice, "Our alliance will be quite beneficial..." The Elite looked over his shoulder, before continuing. "Now then, you two, please stay quiet while I interrogate our new prisoners. I'm sure they have a lot of questions..." He turned away from the screens, looking over the captives with fierce yellow eyes. Lissarkh couldn't help but look away. That gaze was even angrier-looking than Grievous', and that was saying a lot. After a moment, the Elite spread his arms and growled, quite cordially, "Hello, my friends! My name is Ripa 'Moramee, leader of the Rejuvenated Covenant!" He swept a massive hand past the Prophet and the Brute. "These are my advisors, the Prophet of Candor and Majorus, Chieftain of the Jiralhanae." He turned back to the captives. "Now then, would you mind telling me why you're disrupting my operation, killing my troops, and altogether causing a great deal of trouble?"

"Your operation is on a planet that doesn't belong to you. would you not do the same were other factions invasively and aggressively operating on your planets?" responded Serephir calmly, matching the Elite's fierce gaze with his own, hawkish amber eyes boring into the Elite, as if intent on looking right through him. covertly, he responded to Grievous and Lissarkh. That problem has already been dealt with. give it a few moments though...

"We did," the SC replied with a half-smirk. "It led us here. I'll ask one more time. What are you hiding from us?"

"In all seriousness, human, I had no idea such a planet even had a sentient native species, let alone the fact that it was a colony," Ripa replied calmly. "I am aware that this is close to TGDA-occupied space. Until you meddlers came along, as well as that Jedi, I had no reason to believe I was causing any undue stress. You see, I tracked someone here, and I've been busy prying information out of him." Ripa moved to the side, revealing a pillar of purple light, a gold sphere suspended within. The sphere spun, it central eye focusing on Serephir and flashing at the construct spoke in a cheery, polite voice: "Reclaimer! How good to see you again!" Ripa looked at the sphere in curiosity. "You know this one, human?" he asked.

"You'll just have to find out for yourself, if you're dumb enough to try and take this ship," the Legionnaire replied.

The SC thought to himself. They had already lost a good amount of people. Frowning, he held a wrist up to his face, talking into the intercom.
"Sir, it isn't worth it. We cant beat them with the numbers we have."
It was the Sheliak Commander that answered.
"Signal a retreat, creature."
The shuttle that had taken them there returned to the back of the emergency door.
Simultaneously, the BOM began hailing the damaged freighter once more...

"Good, a retreat!" the Legionnaire growled. "Smart move." Regardless, he kept his eyes on the pirates until they left. He was prepared for treachery. The freighter itself did not respond to the hails, its communications array having been damaged previously.

"The...f*ck...is that?" the man said as the alien reappeared. Amazingly, he was still slowly overcoming his own drunkenness. His speech was more riddled with pain then slurred, hands clenching his head as he tried to suppress a particularly painful headache...

The machines, unopposed of their salvaging of the base, were now a vast number, though the thick vegetation around them shielded just how large their forces had become. Some were armed with modified plasma weaponry, salvaged from the weapons of the fallen occupiers of the complex. The hunched machines stood in organized lines as their fellows worked to assemble more, the base now noticeably lacking in much of its exterior on one side...

The SC frowned at the Sheliak calling him 'creature', but said nothing.
The intercom on his wrist went off again, the Sheliak giving him a second command.
"Don't be so sure," he said to the Legionnaire, his voice carrying across the room. "I'm to give you a message: tell your captain that if you don't tell us what your holding that's so important, we'll destroy it along with this... ship, from orbit..."

"Something to make it all get better" Kystion growled as he knealt down beside the stranger. With one fluid motion, he jabbed the medi-gun into his shoulder and administered the serum, removing the tool seconds later. What ever alcohol in his blood stream would be broken down into simple sugars and passed on, effectively ending the buzz the alien experianced, while stopping the side effects of his drinking

"Yeah, i know it. ran into it during a Flood invasion not long ago" responded Serephir simply, eyes narrowed at the elite's interest...in a matter of minutes, the conversation would be over, one way or another...

"Ah... interesting," Ripa replied. "Tell me, human, do you know anything about the Forerunners?" Mendicant Bias replied, "Of course the Reclaimer knows about the creators! How could he not?" "I don't mean creations like you and the Halo Rings! I mean the... older creations." Grievous snarled, "You mean the Reapers, like that ship Sovereign, and the Geth?" Ripa chuckled. "The Geth, yes, to a degree. The Reapers, however, are a different matter entirely. A shame you won't live to find out." He turned to the Geth Hunter carrying the body of the Sniper that had helped them earlier. "And who's your friend here? A true Geth? Not one of... well, you should know by now." Grievous narrowed his eyes. "I have no idea who or what that Geth is." Ripa chuckled again. "You claim to know so much, General, but in the end, you are as ignorant as the rest of the galaxy. I will be the one to bring them to salvation! I will herald the return of the true gods! Not those pathetic Forerunners, but something far greater and more powerful! In the end, the galaxy will belong to the Covenant, the Skaven Clans, and the Dalek Empire, with no one to oppose us!" The Sangheili looked down at his prisoners. "It is unfortunate that you will not live to see it."

The Legionnaire bared his teeth in a snarl. "So you want to play dirty, eh? Fine. I don't know WHAT the cargo is. Only my captain knows, and he ain't too keen on telling anyone."

"Jesus alien Christ man, warn a person next time!" the man snapped, rubbing his shoulder, though he did feel much better after a short time. "...Thanks..." he murmured, still rubbing his shoulder...

"I'd worry about your life if i were you" said Serephir with a sly smirk, "Now" being sent in a private message to both Lissarkh and Grievous. suddenly, the entire base was shaken with an unholy explosion as the HVMS Fury unleashed it's PSCs on the fortress, ripping right through the upper layers and tearing through the base, the beams streaking across it, explosions tearing out all over the base. Serephir pulled Mendicant Bias towards him with a sudden jolt of telekinetic energy, grabbing the drone as he turned, the Covenent soldiers closest to his troops being blown back in a psychic shockwave. "Grievous. bring the damaged Geth with us. It'll probably have information stored in it we can use" he said as his men took the weapons from the stunned Covenent soldiers, using them against their former owners, the soldiers proceeding to give covering fire for the Generals...

"Are you sure that's a good--" Grievous was cut off as Ripa, in a roaring fury, charged at him and Serephir, whipping out a pair of basket-hilted Energy Swords. Lissarkh threw Grievous his Lightsabers, activating her own. Using a Force Pull, she dragged the disabled Geth from the Hunter's arm and hauled it, with some effort over her shoulder, while Grievous blocked blow after furious blow from the enraged Elite. "We need an escape plan, Serephir!" Lissarkh shouted, blocking a hail of retaliatory gunfire from the Geth and Covenant.

Candor and Majorus, in no mood to stick around, slunk away. Ripa, however, caught their retreat in the corner of his eye. Shoving Grievous away, he turned and sprinted after the two. The three Covenant leaders disappeared into a small side portal that led to a lift that would lead them up to the surface. As they boarded, the emergency lift rapidly ascended, heading back up to the top of the base...

"Dont mention it" Kystion said as he stepped back into his craft. What the stranger said perplexed him. Who was this Jesus? Was the word Alien actually in his name? What species was he? He was certain the Ascatian archives would have the answer to those questions. Answers lost to the Xordians. Cursed under his breath as he disappeared into the depths of this ship. A few minutes later, the former pirate stepped back onto the ramp, having put away his medi-gun. He said in his grumbly voice "Should I prepare some quarters for you two?" looking from the short alien to the cloaked one...

"Just following orders," the SC said, indifferent. "I suggest you go deliver our message, if you like your bodies in the shape they're in," he finished, creeping toward the door in a way that made it almost unnoticeable, along with what remained of the squad, the heavy shield bearers in front, ready for any surprise attack that may come their way.
