"Not completely necessary." the short alien said, shrugging. "We've been here for some time...though it would be a kind gesture if you could drop us off at our home." he explained, grinning. "My home." the man corrected with a quick snarl.

The Legionnaire clicked his comlink angrily. "Captain, we have a stalemate. The pirates are threatening to blast the freighter if we don't tell them what the cargo is." Vorhess thought this over for a moment, before finally shrugging. "Fine, fine, tell them. It's some sort of ancient alien artifact. I don't know what it does, but it'll be worth millions if we get it to the black market." The Legionnaire replied, "Understood," and clicked off the comlink. "Apparently, pirate, it's an alien artifact of some kind. All I know is that it's very valuable, so try not to destroy it."

Kystion blinked a few times at the duo, unseen behind the visor that covered hsi face. After a short moment, he growled "Get in, buckle up. Always wear your seat belts and all that bullsh*t" He turned around and started walking up to his command console, tapping in an order on his wrist device. Metal panels on either side of the craft shifted, two passenger chairs sliding into place from the walls...

The SC relayed this information back to the commander, Shifte. He repeated the response he was given, knowing it wouldn't happen.
His face an expressionless mask, he said, "Tell your captain that mine wants him to beam aboard our ship, to negotiate some sort of compromise. He'd prefer not to destroy such a valuable possession..."

"Negotiate?!" the Legionnaire growled. "You little--" A loudspeaker over the cargo bay responded, this time with Vorhess' voice: "Fine then. Tell your captain to bring his ship down here to dock with ours. We'll negotiate on our terms."

"You want the captain... to come aboard this ship?" The SC asked...

grabbing his blades and equipment package as he went, Serephir glanced around the surroundings as he went back, pinpointing a relatively weak spot in the wall; a sign of a passage. tossing a small circular disk at the wall from nearly 20 feet away, a large blue explosion unleashed moments later, the entire wall disolved in the plasma explosion, Serephir charging in after it. he was using a combination of the compass granted by the HUD of the visor and a bit of risk taking to get him back to the elevators quickly. he had nearly 13 focused plasma grenades, and considering the sprawling nature of the fortress, it wouldn't be too difficult to rip a straight path right to the elevators. he evaded the route they used on the way here, due to the fact that not only would it be too long, but also due to the fact that the spot they were captured would at this point be engulfed in nuclear radiation from the atomic breakdown caused by the PSC's blast on that position, not to mention a risk of chain explosions engulfing that area of the base...

"Unacceptable. He'd just be held hostage if that were to happen," came the Sheliak's robotic double-voice from the intercom. The SC repeated what Shifte said.

Lissarkh and Grievous charged after Serephir, letting him blast his way through the base on the way out. Grievous reluctantly took charge of the disabled Geth, able to hold onto it more easily.

Ripa, Majorus, and Candor made it to a Phantom, which promptly took off, heading out of the base, heading for space. Sassk, still on the bridge of the Malevolencem detected a massive heat bloom on the other side of the planet at nearly the same time. "Uh, General, I just detected some sort of energy spike of the opposite side of the planet. What the hell did you do down there?" "It's a long story. Just get ready to fight. I'm sure the HVMS Fury will be picking us up."

"Well, I'm certainly not boarding your ship, so unless you want to argue all day, bring him over," Vorhess replied impatiently.

The man took a seat in one of the chairs, though he did not fasten the seat belts, seeing no need. His smaller friend, however, was more cautious and did as he was instructed...

The army of machines seemed to awaken at once, jarred from their self-induced sleep by the explosions in the base. A cloud of small, foot wide x-shaped crafts lifted into the air, a single visible eye where the x-shaped wings intersected. Soaring over the ruined base, they began feeding information back to the others, trying to locate the cause of the explosions...

Kystion sat down in his seat, which was covered in a black leathery material. The passenger seats were covered in the same material, though the backs of the chairs were slightly angled backwards. An orange strap slid across his body like a sash. The various screens and consoles infront of him flashed. The main panels split apart, a skinny column of metal raising up from the space. It looked almost like a joystick, blue- gray in color, but the very top of the device was much larger, with several buttons on it. Kystion tapped the center red button with a thumb, a mechanical rumble sounding off as the craft's engines started up. The ramp and landing gear rose back into place as the ship lifted off from the sandy ground...

The SC sighed, repeating Vorhess' words into the speaker on his wrist.
After receiving a response, he said aloud, "Captain! You will come to this cargo bay, to discuss a proposition with us. That way, we can escape, should there be an ambush."
The shuttle moved toward the back of the freighter, for the third time, carrying Naz'h, Shifte, and another security squad...

"Fine, fine," Vorhess replied. "I'll be down in a moment." The communications shut off, and the Legionnaire and Heavy stood up. Several more Blue Suns troops soon filed into the cargo bay, including a heavily-armored Turian with a vicious-looking shotgun, Sergeant Boortis, and Captain Vorhess himself.

it wasn't long before Serephir found himself in the area where they had run into the hallway when Huka first engaged them with his men, along with the yanme'e. immediately, Serephir glanced at several of his men, the entire group of heavy infantry, who were lifted mentally up to the bridge path to the entrance. the T-20 unstealthed, clamping it's claws around a couple of men, it's stinger bending to one side and splitting into a three pronged pincer, clamping around the commander of the assault forces, magnetic grapple pads activating, the scorpion mech charging up the side of the bridge and to the top, releasing the men before leaping down, small jets bursting to life around the scorpion mech's body as it landed with a powerful thump, taking the last three and ascending, Serephir grabbing Grievous and Lissarkh and leaping up to the top of the bridge. drawing his rifle, he opened a slot in the side and inserted another plasma grenade, taking aim, a blue streak going along the barrel of the multi purpose rifle, a blue streak seen shooting from the arrel, hitting the wall ahead of them, a massive blue explosion destroying the winding pathways ahead, giving them a shortcut through the winding corridors, the elevator to the surface visible up ahead. "Let's go" said the General. meanwhile, the Squad Commander radioed a dropship, which was already en route for extraction...

Naz'h slowly walked into the room, Shifte next to him, wearing his powerful, Shelian armor, both of them with no weapons. The security squad remained in the back, as a gesture of good faith.
Naz'h looked at them for a little while, before finally speaking. "Captain, we require a place to speak with you in private. What is your name?"

Grievous and Lissarkh quickly followed, and the Trandoshan remarked, "How many more of those things do you have?"

The Phantom had long since left the base, along with several more, all of them heading up into orbit...

The Batarian stepped forward. "I'm Captain Vorhess of the Blue Suns." He waved a hand, and his men moved away, towards the edges of the cargo bay. "There's not much I can do about privacy, pirate. I suggest you take what you can, whoever you are."

"Very well," the Calamophor said. "You may call me Naz'h."
Leaning in closer, he quietly murmured, "I am no mere pirate. I'm on a mission, working for the Sheliak Corporate, along with Shifte," he glanced at the Sheliak next to him, "And Kh'nez, my First Mate. We may have a significant need to bring this artifact of yours back to Planet Shelia, or at least to one of our operating bases at Tau Cygna V or Calamity. We cant afford to pay it's black market worth to you here, all at once, so we offer you this: you may travel with us, and take 50% of the profit we make on our raids..."

Vorhess narrowed all four of his eyes. "Mind telling me just what this mission is? I'm not doing anything until I have an idea of what's going on."
