[The Kingpin]

Wraith's eyes narrowed. "The last time Demontalon was in contact with Tigerclaw the latter attempted to kill her...repeatedly. she's still not recovered from an injury. she may not be able to focus hard enough to hold her own in Dark Forest...not to mention she'd be outnumbered" growled the black leader...

[Hopeflower]

"We know," Winterpelt murmured. "I'm sorry, Wraith," Bloodspill meowed, "but this may be the only way."

Shadowstar and Hawksight exchanged a glance and the former leader mewed, "We believe that if Demontalon shows no fear of her grandfather, and makes it clear that she hasn't come to fight, Tigerclaw may let her explore the Dark Forest for a little while. If that isn't the case, someone will have to stand by her, keeping a watchful eye on her, ready to wake her up if - or rather, when - things go wrong."

Wraith growled lowly, not pleased with the idea. but they were right. the only one they knew who had actually made contact with the Dark Forest directly was Demontalon...she would be the only option to inquire in that part of the matter. "I suppose it's our only option...at least...our only option to investigate Dark Forest's involvement in the matter" he growled, before glancing at Snowstar, wanting to hear what he thought of the matter before deciding...

[Hopeflower]

"I suggest you be sure before you go to Demontalon with the idea, if you do," Shadowstar meowed. "This isn't an easy decision, for any one of you."

Snowstar shook his head. "The plan...is way too risky. Demontalon has already made it clear she doesnt want to be tied down to her grandfather's name. For her to go back to him would be suspicious at best- and thats ignoring the 'Death bringer's' clan" He mewed. "Like I said before, I wont risk losing cats to these abominations"

[Hopeflower]

"If you do nothing else, at least ask her what her opinion is," Hawksight meowed, her golden eyes wide with sympathy. She didn't want to see any more of her former Clanmates die either, but she also knew that doing nothing to find out what was behind the violent group of cats would lead to the destruction of StormClan. "Demontalon is her own cat and should be allowed a voice in the discussion."

"They're other alternatives to sending a lone warrior into the depths of evil itself" Snowstar mewed to his mate, closing his eyes. "Blood relation means nothing. Tigerstar's actions are evident of that when he tried to kill her. Sending her back to him would end in him killing her for defying him in the past. He wasnt above that when he was living" He added, shaking his a little more. "And the threat comes not only from Tigerstar" He concluded, letting out a sigh, knowing that his entire clan- save Loneclaw- walked in the shadows of the Darkforest. Cats that even Tigerstar would fear.

"Unfortunately, i can see no way that we can learn more about what we're up against without risks.......Is there any way for any other cat to go into the Dark Forest with Demontalon if she were to go?" growled Wraith after several minutes of serious thought...it was that or try and learn more of this 'Dark' clan while conscious...spying on them...both were difficult decisions, but the Dark Forest's stance towards them was unknown...



"Earthclan's really so big that it has the whole camp on alert? aren't they on the other side of the lake?" meowed Nightclaw uncomfortably...

[Hopeflower]

"There may be," Bloodspill mewed, cocking her head and ruffling her wings. "You were mentor to her for quite some time. That's a strong bond." The black she-cat paused. "I don't much like the idea myself, but..." She trailed off with a helpless shake of her head.

"Yes they are," Lightstorm meowed, licking the claws of one paw to clean them of drying blood. "But it's not EarthClan that poses the real threat to us."

Snowstar's eyes suddenly shot open, as if he couldnt believe what he was hearing. "Wraith!" He growled. "You being there would only make matters worse. A leader of a clan stepping into the Darkforest...its insane. Its like going to sleeping in a wolf's den. You will be attacked on sight"

[The Kingpin]

"I'm not letting Demontalon go alone, if she goes at all. Spying on these Dark Forest worshippers is dangerous, even to a large group of cats. I can't say i look forward to seeing Cindersoul, Blackstorm or even Tigerclaw and Brokenstar again, but I won't set aside an opportunity to gain an advantage on that Clan" growled Wraith. "Though when i think of it, I believe I may have family members in the Dark Forest. My father i believe is in Starclan....but my Grandfather....i believe he may be in the Dark Forest...That may just be the advantage i need to keep us alive there if things go bad" he added...

[C S]

Snowstar let out a sigh. "My entire clan- my orignal clan- is there. Hawksight was the only one who knew of my past... and she took the secret to Starclan. If anyone should risk their life on this, it should be the leaders of the clan. We have more experiance than any other cat in the clan, we have nine lives...and Starclan walking with us" He mewed, again, shaking his head.

[Hopeflower]

Hawksight padded up to touch noses with her mate. she mewed, "We trust you both to do the right thing." Winterpelt touched noses with Wraith, purring, "We have faith in you." Bloodspill and Shadowstar raised their heads as one, and ThunderClan's former leader meowed, "It's time for you to wake and explain the situation to your Clan. No doubt, they're all worried and starting to form their own ideas about what happened to cause you to raise the alarm."

Wraith nodded to the Starclan cats, and to his former mate. "You have our gratitude. Let's hope the outcome is a pleasant one.....for all our sakes" growled Wraith lowly...

[Hopeflower]

Shadowstar dipped her head and turned to lead her fellow StarClan cats away. Bloodspill meowed, "Good luck, Wraith. You'll need a lot of it." The battlescarred winged cat turned to walk at Shadowstar's shoulder. After a few seconds, Winterpelt and Hawksight followed.

Snowstar simply nodded in goodbye to the Starclan cats, returning to his eloquent silence. His worries were cast off by the meeting, now that he knew what had to be done; and what had to be done was confront the cats of the Darkforest. He'd execute the mission with the determination as both a leader and warrior, for the sake of making the forest safe again for coming generations. With Starclan to back him and Wraith up in the shadow of evil and death, they would succeed

as the Starclan cats left, Wraith's surroundings faded, his consciousness drifting along that path between the waking world and that which lay beyond the sleeping realm; the dreams through which Starclan was contacted...



the black bengal leader rose to his feet, loosening up, thinking over what he would tell his clan mates. the situation wasn't looking good...but he would make sure nothing but success came from this event...

[Hopeflower]

Lightstorm turned his head to lick another wound clean of dirt. "Our fathers are going to explain what I mean to the Clan," he mewed between licks, wanting Nightclaw to hear it from their leaders rather than him.

Snowstar woke up, lifting his body slowly. He looked to Cloudhaze, nodding to her. Coldeyes wasnt in the den anymore. "Contact was successful" He mewed. "Wheres Coldeyes?"
"Keeping tabs on the clan" Cloudhaze replied. "Good. Good...he'll have to keep doing that for a while" Snowstar mewed. "Thank you for your services" He growled, nodding again. Cloudhaze gave him a questioning look, but said nothing. She headed out of the den and made her way back to hers, not exactly sure what Snowstar meant.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, assemble" yowled Wraith as he left the Leader's den, the strong, rough tone catching Nightclaw's attention just as he was about to ask Lightstorm what he meant. glancing back, he saw his father standing at the entrance of the Leader's den, glancing around at the cats around the camp, Nightclaw only just noticing a few faint cuts on the black leader's sleek, thick, rich pelt...
