Red started to pick up the scent of a elder lion, the scent was familliar, but she couldn't remember where she picked it up before. She was starting to have hopes her sister was infact still alive as she continued down the river bank, trying to follow the scent during the patrol, limping as she moved.

Nightbane narrowed his eyes as he spotted the lion in the distance. he had smelled it the previous day in the pride's territory. this was probably the leader. judging by the smel of blood and the limp, it was likely in very bad condition...

Red Claw glanced in the distance, seeing the lion wandering around. "Not my sister," Red growled silently, crouching into a attack stance, focusing her eyes on the lion wandering all alone, noting it's limp and wounds. She stealthly crawled over to a large bush, eyes locked on to the injured lion.

"You" snarled the elderly Lion as he approached, limping. "You two were in my territory......lured my attention...opened me up for ambush...you helped those intruders take my pride" continued the elder. "What? How were we the reason you lost? we were just passing through!" responded Nightbane. "Naive cub...you don't simply 'pass through' another Lion's territory! simply giving me that excuse proves you're lying! you helped those lions win by acting as a decoy for me to track down!" snarled the elder furiously...

Not wanting to let this elder lion pester her or Nightbane anymore, Red Claw suddenly lunged out of the bushes at the lion, ignoring the throbbing pain in her leg. She rolled over onto her back as she narrowly missed the elder, causing him to slump down onto the ground, and a heavy thud coming from the impact of Red's body and the grassy floor. The landing had caused Red Claw's vision to blur as she struggled to pull herself up.

the Lion turned on the female with an angry snarl, swinging a paw at her, bludgeoning her with the arm while she was recovering. just as he was about to leap at her he was blown off his feet, Nightbane pinning him to the ground, clawed paws on his chest and lower legs, one clawed paw pressed against the elderly lion's neck. "Touch her again and i'll gut you and feed you to the crocodiles, ALIVE" snarled the lion furiously, the elder shying away, fearing for his life. "Alright alright! please...just let me go...." begged the Lion. "Describe those lions to me" rumbled Nightbane, not moving an inch, still threatening to slit the elder's throat if he tried to move. "There was a large one. muscular. perhaps similar to yourself. there was a thin one..faster but less heavily built...and a black one...had scars across it's muzzle....i think i heard the other two call it Shadow" said the elder through baited breath, fearful. "Leave. I don't want to so much as smell you again. If i do, you can consider yourself dead" snarled Nightbane as he lifted his weight off the lion, the elder swiftly rising to his feet and limping off, a low snarl coming from Nightbane as he saw it leave. "you ok?" he growled as he turned to Redclaw...

Red Claw was stunned from the blow, but when Nightbane walked over to her, she looked up, growling, "I'm fine, thanks for helping me, I couldn't see him coming, even though I knew he was." She started to lift herself up from the dry surface of earth, being very cautious of her surroundings. "Do you know who that lion is?" Red asked with a growl.

Nightbane shook his head. "But i do know that i've just found my brothers" he growled, eyes narrowing...

Red Claw, shocked by the response, didn't say a thing as she just stared at Nightbane, not moving a muscle a inch anywhere. She just continuously stared into Nightbane's eyes, not saying a thing, stunned by the explaination he had given her. As she wasn't paying any attention to her surroundings, the snake that she had seen earlier was coiling around her leg, with the rat slowly digesting in it's stomach. She felt the bulge, looked at the snake, and growled at it to leave, and it cooperated by doing so a minute later.

"It seems snakes love you" growled Nightbane jokingly, gesturing towards the snake, before glancing off in the direction of the pride. to think....his brother had been right there....and he hadn't even known. he KNEW he noticed something strangely familiar about the scents in the area...but he hadn't expected THAT...he'd have to pay his brother a little visit later....if only to see what had become of their previous pride...

several hundred meters from Nightbane's location, A lone Thylacine slept in the shade of a tree. Titanis had fared rather well recently, though he hadn't seen any other of his kind around here. As the carnivore snoozed beneath the tree, a small butterfly landed on his nostrils, though not waking him up...

Off in the dark woods of the reserve, Scar, the lone Grizzly Bear, continues his journey to find others. He was alone in this stretch of the woods, and he disliked it......

The humans had taken him from his home.... his fellow Grizzlies. He was sent to this lonely place, and his knowledge of their fates is unknown. For all he knew, they had been butchered and turned into clothing for the humans. Scar growls loudly before stomping off into the woods.....

Red Claw sharply watched to snake slither off into the bushes nearby, and slowly wandered off, behind it. She wanted some answers from the slimy pest, and fast. Once she got close enough to the snake, she pounced on it's lethery back, causing it's body to become tangled around her's. As she landed, she growled at the snake, asking, "why are you following me?" some rage seeming to escape her mouth. Her eyes focused on the snakes eyes, as she slowly raised her paw with the killer claw, threatening to kill the snake with it if it didn't cooperate with her.

Nightbane moved closer, eying the snake curiously, temporarily pulled out of his thoughts by the scene "You think it's going to say something? probably a better idea just to kill it" he growled...

Scar continues lumbering through the woods, hunger coming upon him. He hadn't eaten in a long while. The smell of moose was nearby...... Scar, hungry as he was, naturally began to head towards the scent hoping to find some food......

"it probally knows something," Red grunted, curious of what the snake might do. The snake's body was shaking as the reptilian animal struggled to get free, but even with all it's strength, it couldn't cause Red Claw's paw to move and inch. it finally hissed, "I, I know where your sister is!" Shocked by the response, Red Claw sent her paw closer to it's tangled body, ready to thrust her claws into it, believeing it was lying so it could escape.

"Isn't your sister dead?" growled Nightbane, half genuine, half to make the snake panic if it was lying...if it was telling the truth however...that was useful information...very useful...

The smell of the moose was growing closer to Scar, until the Grizzly comes across a heavily brushed area of the woods. He looks over a bush, noticing a couple of moose lurking by a nearby stream. Moving as quietly as his hefty body can carry him, Scar tries to find a better angle to catch the moose off guard...........

"I think this vermin is talking about my sister that got lost in all of the thick grass and bushes, while chasing that gazelle," Red Claw growled, excited by the fact that her sister, White Tip, could still be alive. She asked the scaly reptile, "Where exactly is she at? If your lying, your gonna lose your head." She still couldn't trust this pest, partly believing that it was stalking her, Nightbane, and Redtail when she told Nightbane about her family.

"I'd cut him up and leave him for the meerkats. but it's your choice" growled Nightbane as he eyed the snake, a malevolent look in his gaze, as if he actually looked forward to dissecting the serpent...
