"Well that more or less confirms our guesses...the Reapers are pulling their strings like twisted puppets...have someone to track them? or should i send someone after them?" inquired Serephir...

"I'll send a scout force to check out where they're headed," Grievous replied. "Ripa's arrogance can be used to our advantage..." Mendicant cut in, saying, "If I may ask, did you record that message?" Grievous merely nodded. "Excellent!" The little AI floated over to the holographic console, spearing it with a thin energy beam, rewinding the message to the point just before it ended. Another beam allowed the garbled voice to be slowed down, revealing just what it was saying: I am their instru--I am a monument to all your sins." The entire group fell silent, until Mendicant merely quipped, "Oh dear..."

Serephir's eyes narrowed. that confirmed it. "Sounds like the kind of thing Sovereign would blurt out" he commented...

"I don't think that was a Reaper..." Grievous replied. "Indeed," Mendicant added. "Why would a Reaper, allied with these meddlers, hack their communications, as it so obviously did? No, I believe this is something completely different. That particular quote is a line of poetry from one of my makers that was absorbed into the Flood. It is often used by Graveminds." Grievous shook his head. "That doesn't make any sense. Where did it come from, and how did it hack into something electronic? It's organic, right?" "I really can't say. Not for sure. A Flood outbreak in an isolated quadrant of the galaxy is entirely possible in these unstable times, and the ability to access electronic devices is a method only known to the Gravemind." "Great, now we have another problem..." Grievous muttered.

"So let me get this straight.....we're in a confrontational triangle made up of us, the Reaper controlled Covenent....and the Flood?" said Serephir, surprised by this revelation. "This just keeps getting better" he said irritably...

"As far as we know, yes," Grievous replied. "Of course, the Flood infestation could be at the other end of the galaxy, but I'm not taking my chances, and neither should you. That scout should be in the air right now, and I'm locking down the borders to TGDA-controleld space until it gets back. I'm not letting anything in or out without explicit permission from me. I suggest you quarantine your home system as well, General."

"Already taken care of" said Serephir as he typed the message into his gauntlet computer, sending it to the Revenge and Executioner, which then relayed it to the Vardian Empire's bases, actions already being taken...

"Good," Grievous replied. "Now then, all we have to do is wait. Let the robots have their fun." By this point, the Engineer had moved close to the holoprojector and began probing it wit a tentacle. Grievous reached out to shove it back, but Lissarkh stopped him, hissing, "Come on, Uncle! What harm could Vergil do?" "Don't tell me you named it..." Grievous moaned. "It's not some pet, you know. It's an artificial life form of incredible intelligence!" Lissarkh frowned and crossed her arms. "Vergil likes the name, don't you Vergil?" The Engineer turned its serpentine head towards Lissarkh, blinked, and made a chirp that sounded like something in the affirmative, making Lissarkh grin in triumph. Grievous, unconvinced, simply replied, "We have more important matters right now, Lissarkh. Go meditate. You'll need the rest." With a huff, Lissarkh left the med-bay, and Grievous turned back to Serephir, ignoring Vergil now, who was busy rearranging parts inside the holoprojector. "Now then, about your Geth..." Grievous said, glancing at the Geth behind the shield, which was standing still as a statue...

"yes, about the Geth. come to think of it...we need a name for it. just calling it Geth could be rather...awkward" said Serephir, wishing Lissarkh had heard that merely for the humour of it so soon after the scene with the engineer. "That, and perhaps access to more of his faction...we could use the extra military power if we're up against so many opponents"...

Grievous tapped his chin thoughtfully as the Geth replied, "Limited co-development is approved. However, it is doubtful the true Geth will join you in battle. They will merely assist with supplies and technology, if you require it." "I have many analogs from human culture," Mendicant said. "I do believe I have found the proper phrase to describe this Geth: 'I am Legion, for we are many.'" The Geth, pausing for a moment, replied, "We acknowledge this as an appropriate metaphor. We are Legion, a terminal of the Geth. We anticipate the exchange of data."

"Not a bad start" said Serephir. he glanced at Grievous. "Now....aside from a name for our Geth friend and a self-morale boosting session for the Covenent...what have we gained?" he said, as he thought through the various things that had occured since they landed on Trandosha...

"Well, we have a Geth. That's something, I suppose," Grievous replied. "And soon, we may know where to find the Covenant's base of operations. All we have left to do is find the portal to the Ark before the Covenant do. I will open communications with the Sangheili Fleet and the UNSC, if possible. Perhaps one of them will know where the portal is..."

"And what makes you so sure the Sangheili will help? Am i to assume they're in a civil war as well?" said Serephir...

Guidance, seeing that their rescuers were busy with other matters, floated off out of the room, indiscriminately sending out molecules of their being to scout out the tower. Its goal, for now, was to learn about the planet, its inhabitants, and its technology.

Meanwhile, a single vessel began to near TGDA space. The shuttle was barely moving; its propulsion systems were pushing it along just enough to keep it from stopping completely. On board, there was only one lifeform: The Sith Lord Revan. An automatic message was broadcast from the vessel, aimed toward Trandosha itself. It only contained two words: "A Gift."

"The Sangheili are warriors, and so far they've been our allies. What's to say they wont fight against the Covenant alongside us?" Grievous asked. He paid no mind to Guidance, and Sassk continued to follow the little robot himself.

Grievous intercepted the message, sending out a single Providence-class cruiser t head towards it, plucking the near-dead ship from space with its tractor beam and placing back into the hangar, where a number of Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids watched it warily. A single Tactical Droid walked up to the ship, patiently waiting for any passengers inside to emerge...

The figure's eyes opened slowly as the man sighed. "Who would of thought" the man silently said to himself as he stood up and placed his fabled mask upon his face once more. He stretched his neck and shoulders, regaining movement in his body as he stood up and walked towards the ship on what he figured was the entrance. Considering his time alone on the ship, he managed to get a decent understanding of the area.

After some time, the door to the vessel was smashed aside as the Sith Lord slowly walked out and just like that, he knew where he was. He saw the droids and it was obvious who they belonged too. The rather odd joy he felt in seeing them surprised but he remembered that Greivous was still Grievous and he remembered how he got on board that vessel in the first place.

Looking around the area, the sith smirked lightly through his mask. "Alright..where's Greivous"

The droids raised their weapons immediately, but didn't fire. The Tactical Droid stared mutely at Revan for a moment, sending a remote message back to Grievous, before saying, "The General will be up in a moment."

"Good..make it quick, we got some things to speak about.." Revan simply responded as he folded his arms as he awaited to speak with the General. He knew the weapons of the droids were still on him but he didnt mind...he was rather used to it and it helped him wake up a bit from his little nap.

Grievous paused midstep as he paced irritably. Turning to Serephir, he said, "Looks like a little friend is back: Revan."

"My first thought would be to shoot him to ribbons, but i suppose i can afford to hear what he has to say" said Serephir as he eyed the cyborg...
