Whitetip didn't waste a moment. As soon as Redclaw was knocked off the lioness' throat, she herself attacked the neck of their opponent, taking advantage of her momentary lack of balance and knocking the lioness to the ground.

Titanis's eyes opened up, the thylacine lifted his head, seeingthe herd of Water Buffalo that was aroun dhim having moved off abit. As he got to his feet, he pciked up a new scent. Blood, and lots of it, also the smell of lions. the THylacine took off in the direction of the blood. if there was blood, then there would be a kill, and judging from the scent, the lions were about 3 miles away...

Manderius started to get frustrated and worried at the lion's cleverness, so he quickly thought up a new plan. "Thats not all! he tortured my family for years, slaughtering us one at a time, slowly crumbling our family tree into nothing!" rumbled Manderius, hoping to trick the lion with this explanation.

Meanwhile, Red Claw stopped her attack on Manderius' mate, and his mate did the same. They listened the Manderius' every words, Red Claw not even knowing if this truly happened. "You could be lying to save yourself! You coward!" Red Claw suddenly roared with a burst of anger towards the elder. "My family has never attacked any of your family before! We respected every living thing around us, even our prey! Yet you suddenly say this isn't how we have lived for the past eighty years!" she added on.

"And you see fit to become the thing that he was and torture those who had nothing to do with it?" snarled Nightbane coldly. "You're no better than he was. you're worse. your family would look at you now in DISGUST. not pride. because now you're worse than the one that did it to them" growled Nightbane as he circled the lion. he was fairly sure it was a lie, but playing along, he turned the lies against the elder..rather than saving him...Manderius' lies condemned him...

"I... I just wanted to make him suffer for what he did to me! I had no intentions of causing any suffering too those two!" roared Manderius, looking at Red Claw and White Tip, continuing his lie.

Red Claw looked over at the elder in disgust. "Our family has yet too torture a single living being! Yet you insist that our family has done so! Either your lying to escape, or you have lost your mind!" growled Red Claw, started to head over to the male lion, ready to kill him.

Nightbane's massive clawed paw suddenly swung out, hitting the elder's face with such force it knocked the head to the side, 4 deep gashes crossing the lion's face. "I don't take kindly to liars, Manderius" snarled Nightbane coldly. "If you had only wanted to attack one, you would not have killed the whole family. You have merely proven to me how much of a coward you truely are" rumbled Nightbane...

"Lies!" Whitetip snarled. "You coward. You're lower than a snake's belly." She quickly pinned the lioness with one paw on her throat, claws lightly pricking at the skin, to make sure Manderius' mate didn't get any bright ideas about running.

Manderius roared at Nightbane as he suddenly lunged his head towards his paw, clamping down on the air, catching nothing at all. "Those two are the true cowards! they allow another creature to fight for them! Your only fighting for them because they can't hold their own!" he growled at Nightbane, readying his claws for another attack.

Red Claw came charging towards Manderius, but quickly stopped as she realised he was prepared to attack if one of the three got too close. "Your just a coward for killing one's family that didn't even do anything to you! I would kill you right now if I had the chance to!" she suddenly growled at Manderius, her eyes suddenly shifted colors, from a sky blue color to a firey red color, even though it has never happened to her before.

Titanis picked up the pace, his nose smelling the blood as he came nearer to the source. From what he could hear up ahead, it sounded as if two male lions were fighting. From what he knew, such fights were almost always fatal to the loser, meaning an easy meal for him... but as usual, he needed to take the upmost caution...

Scar begins to run as fast as he can, the smell of the moose becoming stronger. They were nearby! However, he did not know that the end of his realm was growing near.......

Lupus catches the smell of a moose. It smells like it had been wounded somehow. Maybe a bear? Perhaps it tripped and broke its leg? Lupus thought. Hungry, the wolf begins to trot in the direction of the scent........

"Had i not intervened both would've come to you and killed you themselves. I stopped them because a creature cruel enough to kill a whole family is certainly cruel enough to turn his pride on a couple of lionesses wanting revenge. against me however....you can't do that. to try would mark you as a coward for your whole pride to see" snarled Nightbane. "It would be interesting to see though....how would they react if they knew their leader was a coward who stuttered and lied to a challenger to save his skin?" rumbled Nightbane with a malevolent grin, as if actually considering informing the entire pride. "Manderius the Coward....that is the title you would live with....the title you will die with. your grandchildren will curse the day they were born from such a pathetic, worthless, cowardly creature. Your son Neptune will laugh at your rotting corpse. at the cowardly, elderly fool who thought himself too great to listen to advise from a younger, obviously wiser lion" snarled the Lion as he continued to circle the elder like a shark, keeping enough distance to make sure he could avoid any attempted attack...

Manderius grew silent over the remark Nightbane had made about him. He growled as Red Claw started to near him some more, then swung his claws at her face only to miss her badly.

Red Claw lunged towards Manderius as he was recovering his attack. She caused him to move back a few feet, only to have him come back and bite at her neck. She growled at Manderius as he threatened to attack her, as he moved back a little more.

Whitetip pressed down harder on the pinned lioness' throat to make sure she wouldn't join her mate in the attack. Her burning eyes were flicking from the lioness to her sister, and her lip curled back to expose her teeth.

"And so the 'great' Manderius meets his end" snarled Nightbane mockingly. he normally wouldn't treat any enemy with such disrespect. but from what he had seen and heard of Manderius, he deserved every bit of it. glancing towards the lioness being pinned by Whitetip, he snarled "Watch your mate carefully, lioness. This is the fool you allowed to lead you...a stuttering coward who cannot even speak in his defense, let alone fight". he continued to circle Manderius, keeping his distance as he let Redclaw take a few blows at him. if the Lion even got a breath of a chance to harm her, Nightbane wouldn't hesitate to rip him apart...

Red Claw suddenly attacked Manderius, biting his front left leg, starting to crush bone, as he roared in pain. She started to claw at his chest as she continued biting down on his thigh, causing blood to slowly ooze out as she bit down harder and harder.

Manderius growled at the lioness, "die, you cowardly fool!" as he bit onto her flank, causing a deep gash in her side. He knew he would never get the upper hand, but he could atleast deal enough damage to the others to probally escape. Blood was slowly running down Red Claw's body as she released her grip from Manderius' leg, and instantly went for his neck as he was too occupied with her flank to stop her attack.

Nightbane swung a massive paw into one of Manderius' hind legs, the force of the blow and the angle ripping through the muscles with frightening ease, forcing the lion to plummet as his hind leg buckled, no longer havign the strength to support his weight...

As Manderius crashed to the ground, he groaned in pain, realising he wasn't going to live through this fight. "You, how did you, strike me down? I have never been struck down before!" the dying male choked out as life started to drain away from him, noticing Red Claw's jaws clamped down on his neck.

Red Claw started to shake Manderius' neck around in her mouth, trying to kill him faster. She started to get a frimer grip on his neck as she noticed something in the bushes. two pairs of eyes, watching the fight, waiting for the outcome, and the dead meat. She started to tighten her jaws up as she punctured Manderius' windpipe, finally killing him off. She let go of his lifeless body, put her front paws on him, and roared out in victory as she eyed the pair of eyes watching the group.
