Meanwhile, Nguvu had had his fill of the kill. eying Uzuri he growled "I'm sorry for that mess", reffering to the incident that almost cost her her sister. He wished he could just forget about it....but things like that tended to stick in his memory...and he'd likely feel guilty about it for a while...

Lao struggled onto his feet, the fight that he had lost had taken a toll on the jaguar. This was the second time he had lsot to that THylacine... As the Jaguar looked around, he noticed the partly eaten dead lion not too far from him... Thankfully, that Thylacine had forgotten about the carcass, which all worked out to Lao's benefit... The jaguar began to rip into the dead lion, consuming the very beast that had once instilled fear upon this area... Now his eyes opened. THat was how he remembered what happened after that fight. Now, in the rpesent, he was sleeping beside the completely devoured remains of the lion, only the skeleton being what was left of it. THat fight had teken only about 30 or so minutes... but he still suffered some injuries...
Titanis stopped beneath a tall tree and laid down, his eyes rather heavy. His fight had worn him out, so he needed rest. The THylacine's head lowered as his eyes closed...
In the present, his eyes opened as he looekd around him. Maybe, he could find a place to stake as his own... being a nomad and wandering around wasn't good for him...He needed to place to make as his own.

Uzuri made a sound of agreement, glancing at her sister. She felt bad for causing Amani so much pain. It had been clear from the start that the other lioness was falling for Nguvu; but Uzuri couldn't deny her own feelings any more than her sister could. She licked her lips as she backed away from the kill, her hunger satisfied, and settled beside the male, starting to clean her face.

Nguvu looked out of the cave, thoughts settling on the stream. "thirsty?" he growled as he began to walk, looking over his shoulder at the lioness, a smile gracing his features for the first time since the fiasco started. outside, the sun had been down for a few hours by this point, and and the light that replaced it was that of the moon and stars...

Night had disappeared by the time Lusa reached the cave, but she could smell the wolf's scent leading into it. The gleam of eyes came from the back of her den. Lusa found a smooth boulder and sprawled out on it, enjoying the last of the warmth it held.

Nguvu walked out and descended the incline that lead to the den, going through the bushes to one side and stopping at the stream where he had cleaned up after the fight with the black leopard earlier. lowering his bloody jaws to drink, he felt the thick metallic taste of the blood get washed away...

Uzuri crouched to lap at the water as well, breathing an inward sigh as the taste of blood slowly cleared from her mouth. On an impulse, she dipped her entire head into the stream. Pulling it out, she gave herself a shake, sending sparkling droplets spiraling away from her pale fur.

Nguvu leaned away as the water was sprayed in all directions, a fair amount of it hitting him. "Hey!" he growled with a chuckle as he raised a paw in front of his face to keep more water from hitting him...

Nguvu's eyes narrowed. plunging his head and most of his mane into the water, he lifted up, the weight of the water in the mane making it somewhat difficult to hold his head as high as usual. a mischievous smirk curled on his face as he shook his head and neck, the water coming forward in sheets due to how much had been absorbed by the mane, effectively turning the lion into a walking sponge...

after some thorough shaking Nguvu cleared most of the water from his mane, though it still hung somewhat, the Lion turning to stare at the now utterly soaked lioness with an innocent smile. "Whoops" he growled...
