As Fatalis neared the river, he leapt, taking a branch in each stride as he reached the low canopy, slowing slightly to make sure they didn't lose him, though moving close to the river...

Inculta stopped, looking back at Banescale. He cursed mentally and headed back to his packmate. Leg wounds were always the worst; especially when you were looking for a quick getaway.

The oviraptors were still in hot pursuit, their bloodlusting shrieks cutting through the relative silence of the jungle. They wanted revenge; it never once crossed their minds that this raptor might be luring them.

The Kingpin wrote:"Damned predators and their awful racket...Don't they have any consideration for others trying to sleep?!" grumbled Erebus as he moved forward. every time he had tried to sleep, a Rex, Allosaur, Giga, Carcha or some other wretched predator went and roared like they were being eaten alive. for now the trike moved onwards. as the trike moved forward, he pushed aside the bushes keeping him from the plains ahead, spotting a Stegosaur walking along silently. grunting in acknowledgement, the Triceratops looked around in search for a nearby lake, knowing the Stegosaur would be good company at least...

Fatalis glanced at the Raptor, smirking. "Goes with the life of a loner. Constant vigilance. I have to remain alert so long as i'm not in my own home. for the sake of my friends and packmates" he hissed...

Kujo saw the Trike looking at him alertly. Oh boy.. What did he want? He had never seen this Trike before..

So.. Kujo wasn't alone in his ways.. A fellow herbivore was alone.. and was interested in him?

He felt he could never be left alone.. why was it that he always saw another creature? First Ripto.. now a Trike? Perhaps he wasn't so bad.. However, he would need to investigate. It was only right. He decided to beeline toward the Triceratops, to not be confrontational. He didn't want a fight or a feud. He merely wished to investigate. He slowly stomped toward the alone Triceratops.. he knew how that felt..

He knew what it felt like to be alone.. He knew what it felt like to be independent.. with no other creature.. nothing but being lonely..

He let out a grunt at the thoughts. He needed to find his herd.. They had to be somewhere..

But, now to focus on this herbivore trying to stay near him. He moved to the side of the Trike, now only a few feet from him. He didn't want a confrontation. He just wanted a sniff.

He lifted his head up slightly and sniffed the air and the ground to recognize the Trike's scent. He then took a step back, and looked directly at the Trike's face. He wasn't sure what to think.. He just hoped it would not be confrontational and turn into an angry battle. He had no business with it. However, Kujo couldn't help but get curious as to why this creature began to stay with him.. Perhaps simple herding instinct. After all, there are many carnivores on this island. One too many, at that. Few herbivores were seen around..

.. Leading to the idea that his old herd was probably gorged to death by them.. He needed to find them.. soon..
To keep track:
Amynta - Apatosaurus
Ripto - Velociraptor
Sheila - Velociraptor
Kujo - Stegosaurus

Banescale stood slowly and looked over at Inculta and snapped, "It.. feels fine now, lets keep going." And with that he started a slow limping trot.

Inculta shook his head. "It's obviously not fine," he growled. "Settle down and rest for a bit. We're well into the pack's territory; we'll wait here for Fatalis."

Almost as if on cue, the river exploded as a massive Deinosuchus leapt out, head tilted to the side as it's jaws snapped shut on several Oviraptors, before receeding into the water, another bursting out after it in a rushed attempted to get at the small predators, halving their numbers in seconds...

Erebus eyed the stegosaur as he reached a small watering hole. "I take it you were kept up by those noisy brutes too?" grunted the trike as he dipped his beak into the water, biting at what was beneath the water's surface, pulling up, some underwater vegetation being his prize, the herbivore proceeding to consume the soft plants...

Banescale turned around and looked at Inculta. "Fine, but im not staying in the open," He growled as he crawled under a path of ferns to lick his wound.

Fresh panic broke out among the Oviraptors. Those who avoided the attacks scrambled backwards, away from the river, almost tripping over themselves and each other in their haste to get away.

Inculta dipped his head, accepting Banescale's wishes, and took up a position on a low tree branch that would let him see the other raptor's return.

Fatalis smirked as he followed through the trees, eying the ones furthest from the group, diving in on them, killing them off one at a time, until only one remained. the Raptor ascended into the trees once more, moving ahead of it, before landing on top of it, pinning it to the ground, his killer claw at it's neck. "Pity...you had such a bright future before you turned on them" he growled. and with that, he slit the Oviraptor's throat, leaving it to spend it's last moments living drifting between thoughts of the prospect of death, and what the Raptor meant by his words, Fatalis leaping into the trees, disappearing from it's rapidly fading view...

Several minutes later, the Raptor dropped, claws soaked in the blood of the Oviraptors. "I eliminated as many as i could find easily. I don't know how many are left, but i can assure you there aren't many" growled Fatalis as he eyed Inculta...

"Thank you," Inculta growled. "The pack won't forget this." He turned to Banescale. "Are you fit to go on?"

Banescale turned his head towards Inculta, swalloed down a small lizard and stood up. "No time like the present," He hissed, limping off into the jungle.

Inculta set off after the injured raptor, eager to get back to his family and his pack.

"I must warn you though, Inculta. the Oviraptors WILL seek revenge. i've had friends in the past who suffered problems with Oviraptors. unless they're utterly annihilated, they will be back. I advise hunting down any survivors as soon as possible" he growled warningly as he followed...

Hazel made her way back towards the group, dragging a fairly large Dryosaur that strayed just a little too far away from its herd, its neck held firmly in her jaws. It didnt take long to kill, but the walk back was a long one. She heard a sneeze not too far ahead, though still someways away from the place where the others were. She stopped walking and laid the Dryosaur's head down before letting out a call to tell Aircrest she had returned. He let out a half-bark, the sound interupted by another sneeze. With that, Hazel clamped down on the Dryosaur once more and made the rest of the way back to the clearing.

Aircrest sniffed experimentally. His nose sniffled, but it wasnt as bad as the other day. His nostrils had cleared somewhat, letting him breeze a little easier, and even get a few scents. He made a rumble in his throat, happy for a good sign of recovery

Banescale looked up at the sun, then back at Inculta and growled, "Where'd Fatalis go? I thought he was fallowing us back."

"I have friends amongst your pack...i'm holding you to that" growled Fatalis as he eyed Banescale. inspecting his limp, he expected the Raptor would likely be relatively useless for the next few weeks while the injury recovered...

Banescale still felt the blinding pain in his leg, but he thought it a better idea not to mention it to the other raptors, they would simply think him unfit for their pack. He winced at every step and held back his growling as they continued onwards.

Inculta nodded and let out a bark, calling to Siri. A distant, answering bark lent speed to his feet, the leader wanting to get back as soon as Banescale's injury allowed.
