Banescale has found water. In this place of endless sand, he had quenched his thirst. He still had to follow the sun. He didnt know why, instinct told him too. He had not seen any living thing in this place of... sand. How could anything stay living in this place... Banscale turned to continue his journey towars the sun, his now healthy legs pounding the sand flat as he ran, faster than he had ever run, untireing, through the sands.

"That's perfect," Viridis growled with a smile, taking the soaked moss and pressing it to the leg wound. "We'll need more when he wakes up; he'll probably be thirsty. But for now this is enough."

Meanwhile, Inculta had given Siri a full description of the raid he'd had carried out. Now Mwuaji, having rested while the dominant male had been away, was getting ready to take out a hunting party. The pack needed to be fed, especially since Siri hadn't caught anything but a bunch of newcomers on her late-night patrol. Astus dipped his head to the two females and moved off to join him.

Soon after eating what they could, Chopper's pack walked off towards their territory, Snake and Wolfe being carried to assure they wouldn't be able to wander off again. Eradicus started lapping up water from the river again, roaring at one point with water pouring out like a waterfall in between his teeth, the carcharodontosaur soon walking back to the mountain he had stolen. Brute snarled as the group walked back towards their home, finding some of the eggs destroyed, some raptor embryos laying on the ground, Brute's eyes watering up in saddness, his nest being nearly destroyed completly, the young juvenile hissing in anger, her and Brute mates. Only two eggs lay down, hidden unde some fallen leaves, whatever attacked their nest gone, forgetting to attack the last two eggs...

Banescale's world suddenly shook, the sand flying everywhere, the ground opeing up. What was happening? What was this madness? The sand was.... changeing, mveing as the ground shook and thrashed.... In the distance he could see white. instinct guideing him, he tokk off in the direction of the white.

Ripjaw stood infront of Enria, teeth bared. "You have crossed me to many times," he growled with anger, "Now, you shall pay."

Enria didnt pay attention to the arrogent male. She only waited for him to make the first move. The two apex predators, not meant to walk this earth, circled eachother atop the highest point in the plains, any animal miles off would see and hear the fihgt too come. By sundown, there would be a victor.

Hazel started to scratch at a nearby treet root as she waited for Rose to finish eating. She needed to keep her claws sharp, and took the opportunity to make sure they cut swift and cleanly.

Sylicora gave a slight smile, returning the nod as Astus departed, still looking anywhere but at the deep wound, one hand subconsciously closing around her wrist. "Glad to help... I'll probably stay close by... Uh, mind if I just walk around a while?"

"Not at all." it was Siri who answered the question. The black female blinked sympathetically at Sylicora. "You must need time to think. Take as long as you want."

Skeletons. He had found piles of them. Raptors, so many different kinds, some he'd never seen. Why so many bones? What was this place? Looking off into the distant sands, he saw a large gorup of brown animals, yet they were unmoving. Curious, he followed to the sun towards them.

Fatalis watched Sylicora conscernedly. it was obvious she wasn't at peace. and would likely remain such for a while. the problem was...how long could he afford to wait? mulling the thought over in his head, he rose and walked to Inculta. "I need to check in on my packmates. make sure they're safe and that nothing's happened. Can i trust you to keep Sylicora safe during that time?" he hissed...

Outside the den, a pair of amber eyes watched knowingly, the creature turning away into the shadows...

Blade noted that the ground to one side of him had become rocky, though it was mostly obscured by vines and leaves. up ahead he noticed it was steadily rising higher, and the path he and Alira currently took went into what turned out being a valley, though a thin river could be seen forming up ahead. the smell of Iguanodon reached his nostrils, making him smile. "Hungry, Alira?"...

"of course," Inculta growled, nodding. His golden gaze rested briefly on the olive green female, sympathy softening his features for just a moment. "She will be safe with us while you're gone."

Alira's stomach growled just as she opened her jaws to reply. Embarrassed for a moment, she looked away, before regaining her composure. She looked back at him and growled, "Yeah. Starving actually."

Fatalis nodded gratefully. "Perhaps this could be the start of a prosperous future for both our packs" he hissed. "I'll do my best not to take too long" he added as he turned to leave...

Blade chuckled. "Yeah. guessed as much" he growled as he tilted his head towards the Iguanodon scent. "Let's get going then" he hissed as he followed the herbivore's trail...

"Perhaps," Inculta replied with a dip of his head. "Safe journey."

Alira followed, lingering traces of her embarrassment quickening her step.

"Yeah... thanks," the olive raptor murmured with a note of gratitude, glancing up at the black raptor. She felt that a peaceful walk would do her good; give her time to mull things over and try to calm down a bit. She was inwardly grateful that the pack, Siri especially, understood. "I won't go too far... feel free to call me back if you need help with him..." she added with a nod toward Banescale, sounding subdued but sincere as she started slowly toward the cave entrance...

Bloodfang's eyes snapped open. He was back, gone where the skeletons of the velicoraptors, the sand, the dying herbivores, the hot sun that guided him. He ocoughed and felt the sharp pain in his legs. He began struggling to stay concious, whispering out for water, slowly slipping away.

Eradicus bellowed out a roar and stomped on a slumbering compy as he neared his territory, still keeping his guard up in case the tyrannosaur he'd fought earlier would come back. Brute, not knowing about the two remaining eggs in his nest at the time, picked up some of the leaves and grass covering them, not noticing them. "Brute, two of them survived!" the female juvenile exclaimed with a hiss, her mate looking to see the eggs laying, untouched. A tear of joy and saddness ran down Brute's snout, the raptor filled with anger and excitement that some of his eggs didn't get destroyed, and pure hatred towards the creature that tried taking his newly started family away from him. Chopper put Wolfe down, Flamejaw lowering Snake to the ground and letting her go, the two chicks coming towards their uncle and chirping in confusion to him...

Fatalis eyed the raptor that had just woken up, growling "Probably a good idea to get him something to drink. must not have had enough to drink recently". and with that, he walked out of the cave behind Sylicora, making sure to wait till she was far enough to be out of earshot and sight, so she wouldn't realise he had gone. the Raptor bolted, shooting through the undergrowth at a breakneck speed as he headed for the pack to check in on them...

Crimson Fang was walking through the jungle, continuing to head in the direction of his cave. Since his encounter with the Brachiosaur the previous day, he had made his way out of where the herbivore had been. Now far away from that lagoon, the Raptor was making good progress, moving at a fast walk. He thought to himself:"This time, I won't be distracted by any more raptor scents. I should have known better than to follow the last one to that lagoon. Getting back to the cave will be all I will focus on for the time being."

Viridis padded to the back of the cave, clawing the moss from the wall. She needed time to think...she needed to figure out what she was going to say to Siri, to get her mother to understand that she'd be safe if she went with fatalis and his pack. She soaked it in the pool and brought it back to Banescale, holding it out to him. "Drink," she growled. "You must be thirsty."
