Mataka piped up, delighted "Excellent! Natually one of my own teams will acompany you in investigating the facilty."
Straven added "And a small security escort, nothing major. Procedure."

'Taralumee nodded. "Of course, General." The Fleet Master had no intention to turn on his hosts on their homeworld with no backup, but he didn't bother saying it out loud. Being a fellow soldier, he was sure Straven understood. Procedure, as he had said. Hopefully, there wouldn't be any Flood left for them to fight either. If they were lucky, this whole expedition would run its course smoothly. Of course, nothing involving the Forerunners is ever easy, he thought as he stood. "I am eager to begin as soon as possible," he said aloud. "When can we start the expedition?"

Straven replied "From Kaka-10, it shouldn't take more than 30 hours to reach Ka'roll high orbit." matak piped up again "That'll be more than enough time for me to setup a team!"
Straven nodded and growled "How long will it take you to prepare?"

"Considering my task force is already here, and all I require is one ship, we should be ready in only a few hours," 'Taralumee replied. One his Ultras was already relaying the orders to one of the Corvettes, the Ardent Prayer...

Straven smiled and replied "Ka'roll is over 9 parasecs away. You are far from 'here' Taralumee. We're going to upload a safe hyperspace route to you. Mid way along this route you will be stopped and searched by border control. Any deviation from this route and your ship will be intercepted. Ka'roll territory is heavily populated and civillian movements are strictly controlled. Make no mistake. You and your compatriots are civllians here."

'Taralumee, on the inside anyway, bristled. He wasn't a big fan of being called a civilian. Not that Sangheili disrespected civilians, of course, but a Fleet Master like him was a member of the Covenant Navy. In fact, nearly every Sangheili is a warrior of some kind, and almost all are in either their own military or the Covenant's to some degree. Nevertheless, 'Taralumee refused to let his pride stop him now. The Elite nodded. "Of course, General. I will depart as soon as I get the route. The rest of my task force will remain here, for now."

Straven nodded back and replied "Very good. Sambo, you can take care of the rest." Mataka grinned and said as well "Thank you for your co-operation" Before letting the Sanghelli go, Straven said "Any questions?"

"One, actually," 'Taralumee replied. "What have you discovered about this structure so far, exactly?" Inwardly, he mused over his plans. He decided he was going to join the Ardent Prayer during the journey. All Corvette Ship Masters were Generals instead of the higher-ranking Zealot-class Ship Masters. Unfortunately, Sangheili Generals were known to be reckless and aggressive. Not nearly as much as Jiralhanae, but enough to warrant the Fleet Master's presence for this sensitive operation...

Mataka answered happily "Very little actually, hence why this is such a-" He was cut off by Straven "Unless the stars depend on it, leave the archeological stuff till the actual expedition." For the first time in the conversation, Sambo spoke, backing up what Straven said "This is a 2 way real time coms link over a huge distance, our conversation is eatting up alot of resources so keep it to need-to-know basis."

Imperial TIE Interceptors and TIE Fighters swiftly cut through enemy fighter units. Those slow enough were massacred and those who could manage to hold their own wouldnt last against the speedy and multiple numbers of the multiple waves of Imperial fighter. Enemy bombers were picked off by the occasional free fighter group or hammered by multiple point laser turrets. If bombs were to be thrown at them, they were to face multiple point laser turrets designed to pick off enemy starcraft.

"All units, withdraw power from the engines and re-direct to the weapons and shields. To all Torpedo Spheres, upon full re-direction of power, you have the green light. Pause your firing, you may resume shortly" Thrawn commanded. The Imperial Fleet had held its own but now was starting to take some damage. Thrawn patiently waited, hoping information on their capital would come in shortly. While this was considered a retaliation force it also had the secondary option on discovering the capital so that Revan would hammer back.

The Imperial Fleet was basically motionless as they turned off the engines and withdrew the power to their shields. As the signature Imperial Star Destroyers along with the Executor Class continued to fight back with its heavy firepower...the men in responsible for each ship waited as the process was on the way. As for the Torpedo Spheres, the massive spheres suddenly stopped firing in preparation for the incoming events..

Themoment the Torpedo Spheres halted at firing upon the G.C.M fleet, a rain of plasma mortors and torpedos filled with heated plasma were launched at the ships, hitting them with little ease. Any of the fleet that wasn't occupied with the enormous spheres fired at the rest of the Imperial fleet with plasma mortors, a android of Mr. Gordon watching the battle from a capital ship. "All cannons, redirect fire onto those massive spheres ahead. Keep some guns firing upon the rest of this enemy fleet," the android stated from a com link between the G.C.M fleet...

"Sir, we're ready" a crewmen reported. Thrawn smirked lightly and simply nodded. No words had to be spoken for the incoming new wave of Imperial attack.

Imperial Starships began to unleash their devastating anti capital ship back at the enemy but increased power and shields. With more power to the weapons and shields, the Imperial starships were stationary targets that only increased its deadly damage and toughened its shields. The standard heavy turbo lasers fired more decreased in terms of rapid fire but instead they fired much more powered up turbo laser bolts to smash into the enemy hulls. While the reinforced shields to help deal with the enemy firepower, the Imperials also increased the shields for other reasons...

The Torpedo Spheres all finally reassumed firing, first starting off with a massive wave of proton torpedos that slammed into various targets. The proton torpedos while doing strong damage on their own.. they were merely meant as weapons to weaken shields as the torpedo spheres prepared to fire their true weapon..

"We need more fire power out there!" a navigator shouted, a frightened look on his face. "Set main power to all shields and guns! Keep fire on those massive spheres!" the captain of the capital ship yelled in reply. "Sir, heavy damage to the hull, flames bursting into the interior of our ship! Smoke bellowing from engine 0-0-5, sir!" another crewman reported, calling to his superior. A suddenly blast of energy could be seen from every ship in the fleet, as power was sent from everything but the engines to the shields and guns of every ship, larger, more intensivly heated plasma mortars were launched at the Imperial ships, zig zagging blue patterns being shown on the G.C.M ships as the power was being moved from other places on the ships to the cannon batteries and shields...

The Torpedo Spheres then unleashed it's heavier and much more powerful missiles. Nick-named "Disintegrators" to their firepower and the ability to seemingly annihilate unshielded targets with relative ease. The missiles shot out, flying towards the middle of enemy formations or towards the more larger and powerful ships before detonating. Smaller ships were wiped out upon the massive explosion while other ships with weakened or no shields were likely engulfed in the massive area damaging weapons. The missiles were primarily focused towards groups of enemy ships away from Imperial ships but in this case, the Imperials also withdrew more power to the firepower and shields for the primarily focus on not taking advantage of the intense barrage but also to protect themselves in the matter a"disintegrator" exploded near them...

Imperial Fighters had no choice but to scramble away from the areas of detonation. Data was provided on where the missiles were going and the Imperial fighters had little time to get away. Any enemy fighters caught in the multiple explosions was bound to be destroyed and it wasnt rare for some Imperial pilots to get caught during the chaos...

The damage caused to most of the ships was critical, the shields of each of them lowering greatly. More charged plasma mortars were sent towards the Imperial fleet, as the remaining fighters broke into pairs or groups, chasing after the TIE fighters and interceptors, firing small plasma rounds at the enemy ships. A torpedo chased down an interceptor, the missle coming from a fighter, heated plasma being loaded into the heat seeking canister, ready to explode just before impact, nearing the ship as more fighters came from the bays of each G.C.M carrier, hunting down the Imperial fighters and interceptors...

Thrawn watched the situation unfold as he once again adjusted to the situation. "Tartans, go" Thrawn commanded, the order going through every Imperial Star Destroyer. From the hanger bays of Imperial Star Destroyers, several small sized cruisers appeared coming out from several several destroyers, in particularly the flagship. The Terror began to unleash several Tartan class patrol cruisers, each measuring 250 meters a piece. The Tartan Class were not much in terms of size but they were designed for one purpose... destroying enemy starfighters. The small, swift moving mini cruisers cruised through the battle unleashing their powerful anti starfighter payload, firing off the multiple point laser turrets in enemy starfighter locations.

The Imperial main capital ships kept up their increased offense from the re-direction of power. The disintegrators had done their job and the Imperials were quick to respond... hammering the weakened ships and then blasting the enemy part at the shield's failure.

The torpedo soon hit the left wings of the interceptor and blew up with a violent bang, sending the ship spiraling towards the bridge of an Imperial destroyer. The G.C.M fighters were quick to respond to the new threats and started attacking the ships, avoiding most of the lasers fired by the turrets of the ships. A G.C.M capital ship's super cannon soon fired off a charged plasma beam, the heated plasma crashing into one of the Tartan cruisers and destroying it's bow. More bombers were preparing in the hangar bay of one carrier, loading up on mostly torpedos, fighters waiting to escort them. The remains of the G.E.A and the Bori-Saurochus soon entered the atmosphere of the unrecognized planet, the suvivors having no clue of what was on the planet's surface, dense fog covering most of the world itself...

The multiple and overwhelming rapid firing laser fire from the tartans ensured that any starfighters being targeted were bound to be destroyed eventually. The advanced sensors and targeting computer were able to track the fast moving targets. The swift moving Tartans continued to fly throughout the battle field, causing havoc for the GCM Fighters who also had the swift moving and swarming numbers of the Imperial Fighters.

The Torpedo Spheres once again firing a unified assault. They started off once again with a volley of proton torpedos to damage shields as then an onslaught of assault concussion missiles and heavy turbo lasers smashed into the damaged ships.

Throughout the chaos, TIE Bombers had closed in towards their targets... weapons armed..

Anti fighter defence systems upon some of the G.C.M ships suddenly turned on, and soon were firing upon the TIE bombers as they neared the ships, plasma hitting with little ease. The bombers, now finished and fully loaded, flew out of the hangar bay just behind the fighters, going for the Tartan cruisers, as Imperial fighters and interceptors were chased down by G.C.M fighters, another plasma beam from a capital ship's super cannon smashing into the hull of a Torpedo Sphere. The critically damaged interceptor soon rammed into the bridge of the destroyer, blowing up and taking out the crewmen in it, while the bombers neared the Tartans. The G.E.A fleet soon got past the planet's atmosphere and touched down on the surface of the world, green and red lights flashing on each ship. A small scientist team was soon sent to investigate what was on the foggy surface, going down in a landing boat, oxygen masks on, as tan and red lifeforms lumbered around, acting like zombified creatures.

Mara 'Sarmee sat in his chair on his capital ship among his small Covenant fleet, awaiting orders from one of his superiors. A elite major walked up a small staircase to Mara, asking, "sir, when do we move from this wasteland?" the zealot's reply being a slap to the warrior, sending him tumble down the stairwell, into the arms of two nearby minors, who smirk at the major. "Take him away until I can find use for him," the fleet master snarled, the elites nodding and dragging their brother down a long corridor, away from 'Sarmee's view...
