"Sibling issues" Aircrest thought, his lips curving into a strange smirk. "I could...relate" He thought about the last time he encountered the female. She seemed to be on good ground with her brother from what he saw...but considering the shock they were in, he started to doubt his certainty. He decided it wasnt his place to dig deeper though, and simply growled "No one wants to be the bearer of bad news. Not when it concerns someone dear to them." He dropped down to a lower branch and then onto the floor with a soft thump in a crouch by the female's side. He stood up and walked on, careful to keep his distance from her and adding "If he truelly cared about you, then he meant the best"

Fatalis smiled at the hopeful tone. "She's been thinking. i can see it. But she needs time to decide how to take it. She'll come around. don't worry. just give her time. In the mean time, i need you and the others to take care of yourselves for a while. I'll watch Sy and make sure she's safe and doesn't do anything she might regret later. When she's settled down we'll come back together. In the mean time, i'll be checking in on you four every day or so. Haven't known Sylicora long enough to be able to estimate how long this'll take. but i'll do my best to bring her back soon" he hissed...

Rhojis let out a quiet sigh, his head still resting on the cave floor. "Truthfully, I don't know how long it'll be either," he hissed in a resigned tone. "Sometimes she holds grudges for a long time, sometimes not... I'll... I'll try to be of help to the others, or... at least not get in their way while you're gone... And... thanks for keeping her out of trouble," he finished in a low, but grateful murmur...

Sylicora kept walking at a slow pace, vaguely waving a small branch out of the way, yellow gaze flicking to the male as he landed, returning to scanning the trees a second later. "I guess... But how could he have been prepared to live with a secret like that indefinitely? Wouldn't it weigh on him too much? If he's that good at keeping secrets... what else is he hiding?" She let out a soft, frustrated growl, shaking her head. "We used to be so close... Now I feel like I can't fully trust him anymore..."

"It's my pleasure, Rhojis. you're all like family to me. If one of you has a problem, regardless of what it is, i'm willing to help in whatever way i can" growled Fatalis with a smile. he glanced over to Renegade and Pulsar, growling "You two are the most experienced in the pack from what i've seen. You'll be the ones in charge of the hunts. Remember that Howler and Rhojis aren't very skilled at taking down large prey, so try and keep it to easy stuff. As soon as this whole issue's over, i'll resume control and you'll be off the hook" hissed the leader as he eyed the two...

Meanwhile, Crusher patrolled his border warily, cautious of invaders or sighs hinting their existence. the last couple of days had been chaotic at best, and he had to make sure it was clear that he was back and had no intention of leaving his territory to charity...

Pulsar nodded his acknowledgment. "We wont let them go into harm's way," he assured Fatalis.
"How sssmall are we talking? It can't be too sssmall, as it has to be sssubstantial to feed all of usss," Renegade hissed, glancing between Pulsar and Fatalis. "Are hadrosaursss too big?"

"They've hunted Muttaburrasaurs before, so i suppose anything around that size range is decently safe. but avoid taking risks. avoid family groups if possible. parents can be vicious when their young get in harm's way, and no meal is worth your lives. If there's any trouble, i'll help you hunt something down tomorrow, assuming i haven't managed to bring Sylicora back before then" hissed Fatalis as he turned towards the entrance. "Anything else?" he growled to the four raptors...

Pulsar nodded, turning away toward the entrance once more.

Renegade, however, moved to Fatalis' side once the other raptors' attention had dispersed. "I'm jussst going to warn you now... be wary when your traveling from here to... wherever Sssylicora is. Keep your guard up..." he tried to keep any apprehensive inflection out of his voice, but couldn't help letting a little get by him...

Fatalis nodded. "What? You don't trust your leader to be careful?" he growled with a chuckle...

Aircrest shrugged. "Like I said; if he really cared, he would have done the best he could for you" He growled, turning his head to look at the olive female. "It comes down to a matter of trust. You said you used to be close. Why would you let one thing-no matter how bad it is- ruin that?" He inquired, raising a scaley eyebrow. "You should be happy he decided to tell you to begin with, happier still that he told you the truth!" Aircrest hissed, relating to the raptor's brother. He wondered how he would feel if his sister suddenly lost faith in him, despite his efforts to be a better raptor and being there when needed. Needless to say, he would be pretty somber, followed suit by anger, but that would just give him the drive to redeem himself...

Renegade remained serious. "Thisss isn't the usual threat we're talking about. Thisss is the kill first, ask questionsss later kind of threat."

"We all sssaw him, much before you were away..." Renegade hissed mysteriously, not giving away more than needed at a time. While being cautious, he didn't want to unnecessarily worry anyone at the same time...

Fatalis' eyes narrowed for a moment. after a bit, he hissed lowly "What...the Spinosaur? the Dromeosaur?"...

Fatalis grunted. "If he tries anything in the next few days, i'll kill him. I can't afford to waste time with tormentors' games. keep vigilant, and explain the details of it to Pulsar so he's prepared. if the Dromeosaur turns up, try and drive him off verbally. if he attempts an attack, slit his throat" hissed the Raptor before beginning to head for the stone steps of their den...

"It's no sssimple game. Thisss is a long-standing argument between us, one that'sss gone far past reason and rationality. I wouldn't have a problem, were it just him. Next time, he might see fit to bring a few others along though..." Renegade growled, frowning slightly...

"You'll learn in time i have quite a few 'connections' i can call in if this...pest...starts trying to harm the pack" hissed Fatalis, his eyes narrowed. there was something Renegade wasn't telling him....he made a mental note to look into it later...

Sylicora almost opened her mouth to argue, but found herself suddenly conflicted. Maybe he was right and she should have been glad Rhojis told the truth, however long after the event. But it was difficult to let go of the stinging betrayal that had been eating at her since she charged away from her brother the previous night. "I... suppose you're probably right... I only wonder if someone else in the pack had a hand in convincing him..." Looking intently at the ground in her path, she let out a soft, indecisive growl, clutching at her wrist again. "I dunno... I know I shouldn't be mad if he only meant well but... If only I knew what was going through his mind, maybe I could understand his reasoning," she finished in a low murmur.

Aircrest shook his head, pushing his thoughts back. He looked to the olive raptor before glancing over to the stump she passed. He then looked back at Sylicora, only to look back at the stump before finally growling smartly "One would think you'd have better luck with that by...talking to him?" He swung his head to the side, letting out a sneeze before continuing with a bark "For some reason, I dont think you were heading home when you were stomping through the undergrowth" He stopped walking, pointing his snout towards where the raptor had come and hissing "Y'might wanna try heading that-a-way if you wanna get your answers. Trust me, trying to fill in the blanks yourself wont get you anywhere"

"I don't doubt it. I was only giving you forewarning. It's bound to happen eventually... so long as I remain with all of you..." Renegade trailed off, turning away...
