The bombers that attacked the Tartans found themselves hammered by the multiple laser turrets. The slow moving bombers made them easy targets as the tartans maneuvered, attempting to dodge incoming attacks as well as picking of those who pursed them. The Imperial Fighters continued to use their speed as they dog fighted with the GCM star craft. While in terms of space combat, things were even with the fighters, the Imperials still had their tartans that gave them the edge.

The TIE Bombers proceeded to fire their weaponry and leave, relying on various weapons such as the standard proton torpedos or assault concussion missiles. However other bombers dropped off gravity bombs towards the holes in enemy starships. Upon detonation, the bombs would generate heavy gravity waves that shook the very foundations of enemy ships causing heavy internal damage.

The shields of each ship barely manage to hold off the bombs that attacked them, the shields now completly down for some ships, others still holding. A beam from the super cannon on the third G.C.M capital ship was fired off at the damaged Imperial destroyer, hitting it's engines, burning through the ship's shields. The G.E.A landing boat soon touched down onto the planet's surface near a heavily infested area, the science team getting out and splitting up. "These things don't seem to be that ha-GAH!" a scientist said over the intercom shortly before being infected by the small creature that he had picked up moments ago, the creatures on the planet itself being zombified life forms...

Srtaven nodded and growled "Very well. Goodbye" Mataka doing the same and saying cheerfully "Goodbye"
With that, the link went dead.
Sambo, straight to buisness as always, rattled off almost robotically "There you have it, they'll probably contact you as your ship nears the system, one of my officers should have already sent the hyperspace route to your ship."

"My Lord, we've taken heavy casualties but so have they. We're attempting to finish them as we speak" Thrawn stated. The Grand Admiral folded his arms as he eyed the hologram of the Dark Lord of the Sith who's armor figure eyed the Chiss in the eye.
"Very good...I want that data Admiral..deal with the rest of them and find their home planet and the rest of their territories. We will deal with them shortly" Revan responded, fully confident on striking the rest of the GCM hard and with no mercy.
Thrawn proceeded to walk away as the hologram ended. "Intensify forward batteries! destroy the unshielded ships immediately!" Thrawn ordered. The massive Executor Class Star Dreadnought withdrew power from some of the shields and redirected towards the turbo laser batteries. The countless anti capital ship turbo lasers bombarded unshielded ships with no mercy, the gigantic warship firing on unshielded targets till they were at last destroyed. Imperial TIE Bombers proceeded to fire off a mix of proton torpedoes and assault concussion missiles on shielded targets, working to bring them down as Imperial Class II Star Destroyers slowly moved into position, taking defensive positions along the flagship, providing cover and additional firepower.

The Torpedo Spheres were not as heavily covered as they used to be but they had their own garrison of TIE Squadrons to provide cover while the Torpedo Spheres ravaged remaining shielded targets with heavy assault concussion missiles while the rest of the fleet focused on dealing with the weaker ships first.

OOC: UR, I'd appreciate it if you didn't randomly throw the Flood in out of nowhere. I've got plans for them, and the chances of them fully infesting a planet are practically nil anyway.

'Taralumee simply nodded his thanks, turned, and walked out, followed by his Ultras...

A few hours later and he aboard the Ardent Prayer, following the hyperspace route as planned. Hopefully, this whole expedition would go off without a hitch now...

OOC: Sorry, DM. I edited it, so no more Flood is in the post.

Mara soon started to grow impatient as he awaited orders from his superiors, but refrained from contacting them, as a minor walked up to him, bowing in respect. "What is it, brother?" 'Sarmee requested, the Sangheili soldier looking up at the zealot. "Sir, a few of the Unggoy minors tried rebelling in the dining hall just now, but we quickly took control of it and they are currently locked up in different cells. What shall we do with them, brother?" the minor stated, a finger going across Mara's throat, giving an order of execution to the rebellious grunts. The minor walked out of the room without another word, and contacted a few of the other elite minors to help with the execution of the tretcherous soldiers...

Ripa, busy with other things at the moment, had one of his Supreme Commanders, Thel 'Lodamee, send a message to Mara's flagship, requesting a video conversation...

Mara 'Sarmee soon picked up the message sent to him, and started up a live recorded message, before asking, "what is needed, my lord?" The Sangheili soon bowed in respect as the execution of the rebellious grunts went on, two of the soldiers already dead, their bodies being dumped into space shortly afterwards...

'Lodamee, along with the other Supreme Commanders, as well as Sangheili Generals, was one of the few Elites in the Covenant to still wear golden armor, in particular that which bore a resemblance to the maroon armor of the Field Marshall. The Elite's head was the only thing seen on Mara's holo-video screen. "'Sarmee, prepare your crew for travel. Ripa has gotten word of Fleet Master 'Taralumee's successful finding of a Forerunner structure. Unfortunately, it is on an inhabited planet, and he is currently wrapped up in politics to gain access to the site. I want your fleet ready in case something goes wrong. Otherwise, stay near the Unyielding Heirophant. You'll need all the equipment and fuel you can get, and Ripa--nor I--will tolerate any failure." 'Lodamee knew the Fleet Master would do his job. He could fight, even if he had the subtlety of one of the Jiralhanae. However, the Unyielding Heirophant was the main Covenant HQ for the time being, and Ripa wasn't about to let his troops go zipping across the galaxy for their own purposes...

"I will make sure we are prepared in the case that we are needed, 'Lodamee," Mara said, shortly before closing the video link. The zealot soon contacted every ship in his fleet to prepare to travel and load up on fuel and weaponry that could be needed in the case a fight broke out. The Sangheili soon got out of his seat and walked down the staircase leading to it, going to watch what was left of the Unggoy execution.

A sudden beam of plasma could be seen coming from one of the old G.E.A colonized planets that was on the edge of their territory, now being both G.C.M planets and territory, the heated beam ramming into the Imperial flagship, hitting with the force of a G.C.M capital ship's super cannon's beam. The G.C.M ships soon moved power back to their shields from some of the main mortar batteries, giving the ships some extra time to fight and hold up against the Imperial fleet...

"Sir... data received" An Imperial officer called out.
"Show me..." Thrawn stated as he turned from his usual spot in the bridge as he proceeded to turn the information in a large holographic screen. "This is where we are...and this is what we've gathered so far. We cant be certain which one is their capital but we'll find it. Probes have been sent out and are searching" The officer explained.
"Very well, all ships return to standard settings. Spread out" Thrawn commanded.

The Imperial Ships began to return to their regular settings. The process would take some time but until they done, all they had to do was hold out. Their objective had been accomplished. The Imperial Ships prepared to leave the area as they continued to batter the enemy forces with their weaponry. One of the Torpedo Spheres turned from attacking enemy ships and fired several heavy assault concussion missiles into the planet surface, targeting any planetary guns as well as any other major areas. Quick scans of the planet managed to enable this..

The ships of the G.C.M continued firing as some of the fighters broke formation, chasing down any probes they could spot during the battle. The super cannons of the capital ships started charging up again as they finished firing all together, as more planetary artillery batteries prepared on the other planets in the G.C.M territory, making it seem as Cori wasn't their capital planet after all. With the few towns and cities among the planet, it would fool the Imperials into thinking one of the other 14 planets in the system be the capital as the G.C.M fleet continued trying to hold them off...

The Hive Tyrant moved on with its elite guard, the Mawloc that opened the way disappearing back into the sides of the tunnel, it and a few Raveners making sure there were no surprises waiting for the Tyranids...

Above, the Zoanthrope and its small division of gaunts continue to progress through the hail of plasma fire. When a plasma shot got too near, it would suddenly fizzle and die, the Zoanthrope protecting its brood with powerful psychic energies. Any recon bugs that got too close to the group would spontaneously drop to the ground, dead. An aura of decay surrounded the strange Zoanthrope, sucking the very life out of any enemies around it, almost passively. The distance made the pheromone markers inaccurate, making the plasma bombardment hit and miss at best...

The Ripplers swarming above rained explosive stinger down upon the Zoanthrope and its brood from a safe distance, turning the skies above into a lethal downpour, hoping to overwhelm the Zoanthrope's defenses...

A large supply of stingers were suddenly sent flying back toward their source, detonating in mid-air in the middle of the swarm, taking many Ripplers in the process. With each death, the Zoanthrope's weakening warp field was empowered, allowing it to fend off even more attacks, protecting it and its brood...

The Ripplers formed a massive cloud in the dark skies above the Zoanthrope's brood, continuing to rain death upon the Tyranids. They wouldn't hold out forever...

A small station awaited the Ardent Prayer. It was a special circumstances customs check point. Though really, it wasn't too special in terms of equipment. The title just ment that it's crew were sworn to secrecy about their work. The station pinged the ship, telling it to slow, as well as requesting an entry point so that it's technicians could board and examine the Covenant craft. At this point along the route, Ka'roll was the closest system, and so the hyper space route was at it's most controlled state. Other civllian routes winded around through space, forming cluttered lane ways. It suited the Koult to direct the majority of traffic along narrow routes. It made it easy to control their movement. At any moment, the Koult could order a lane closed, having the customs stations begin blocking hyper space travel around them.

Meanwhile, Black six, within the cavernous confines of Eden-4's cargo hold, finally cut its way into the pod's regulator. The control panel was badly damaged, a number of mobile repair tools lying around it. The small drones had probably been over come by the radiation leak when the tried to fix the panel. Two clawed hands reached forward, taking hold of different ends of the panel and pushing them back together. It activated its laser, using it to weld the panels together. This would take a while, but at least it knew the problem now. The regulator hadn't malfunctioned. It had been ordered to leak. All Black Six had to do was re-route it's listening board to it's own new drone network. Then, they could use it to restore full functionality to the pod and hopefully the emergency trans mitter. From there, they could hopefully determine the extent of the damage to the huge Seeder ship.

The sentinel didn't spend time pondering why on earth Eden-4 would intentionally flood the whole craft with it's reactor exhaust. It would worry about that later.

The Ardent Prayer slowed as ordered and lowered the main shielding of the starboard hangar bay. There were still shields covering the opening, but they were permeable, allowing ships in and out, but preventing air from escaping into the vacuum...

A large external sensor mounted on the 'roof' of the custom's station activated, bathing the Ardent Prayer's hull in a soft blue glow as it collected data about the ship's exterior. Instead of using a shuttle or a docking arm, the technicans emerged from the Stations main airlock. The two figured left the airlock, wearing light exo-suits. Both wore large backpacks. They walked along the exterior of the station, feet automatically adhereing to the surface.

One of them whisteled through the coms "Wooo wee, she's a right beauty there eh cap"
"It's a ship. An alien one. How in the name of stars is it a beauty?"
Drekel, the junior technician of the pair, replied "Look at them contours"
"Shut up Drekel, we're going to work here."

With that the technican's jets burst into life, mounted on his hands and feet. The feeling was sureal, suddenly, he was floating in space.
"It's gettin' closer boss."
"Shut up Drekel"
Angling to the side, the head technican aimed for the hanger bay visible on the Ardent Prayer's side. Drekel was right actually. It was a nice ship.
It took about a minute to reach the ship, they were in no hurry, content to laze about in zero gravity enjoying the view. Neither were too concerned about the idea of landing into a completely unknown ship most likely filled with heavily armed aliens which could easily mistake a handshake for a declaration of war. This is why they'd gotten the job in the Special Circumstances station. In a race as distrusting and overly political as the Koult, attitudes like these were a sad rarity.

Approaching the hanger's field, Drekel's wrist scanner lit up, shining it's beam on the shield. He yammered away idely "Oooh impressive field tech, gotta get a sample of that for the wall."

The scanner was little more than a few basic electromagnetic sensors, but the tech suit's sophisticated software was able to make very accurate guesses from the information it picked up.

The two technicians passed through the shield, landing onto the hanger floor...

The hangar was surprisingly spacious, other than a pair of Spirit dropships hovering near the ceiling. The ships Seraph fighters and Banshees were docked up in the ceiling and behind shielded doorways high in the walls. Boxy, purple crates and glowing communications antennae were scattered about, with Grunts and Jackals bustling this way and that, off to various tasks throughout the Corvette. Several armored Engineers floated over the Koult technicians, chirping and hooting curiously, extending their luminescent tentacles towards the aliens. An Elite Officer stepped towards the Koults, waving the curious Engineers away. Looking at the technicians, he growled, "Isna 'Nosolee. I am to be your escort through this ship. I assure you, we have nothing to hide."
