Fatalis' eyes narrowed at the last words. turning his head back towards Renegade, he hissed "You have a history with that Dromeosaur?"...

After a nice meal, Eclipse heard a baby spinosaures calling for its parents so, Eclipse rushed to see whats happening to the baby spinosaures. As she approached the source of the call Eclipse heard volociraptors hissing at the baby spinosuares. Once she arrived, she saw 3 volociraptors are attempting to kill the baby. Enraged she tackels one of the raptors delivering a fatal blow. The other 2 raptors attempts to escape since they saw the baby spinosaures isnt alone.
As they run, suddenly the mother of the baby appears and bite one of the 2 escaping raptors then slamming it body on the ground and stomp it as she want to feed it to her baby. The mother spinosaures showed how grateful she is to the action Eclipse made by making a calm sound and then took off. Eclipse walked away knowingly that she have a new friend in this dangerous isla.

Renegade raised an eyebrow. "Yesss," he responded.

Fatalis stopped completely now. "And i'm finding this out now for the first time...why, exactly?" he hissed, surprised the information hadn't been revealed to him sooner...

"My passst, and my businessss, are my own. I've told you what you need to know," Renegade responded, with an indifference bordering on coldness, and a suggestion of finality.

"When your past threatens my pack, it becomes my business. mull that over in your head for a while. We'll speak again when i return" growled Fatalis as he continued up the rocky path through the roof of the den, heading back for Sylicora, Inculta and the others...

Renegade swallowed the response that had formed in his mind, saying nothing. This... outsider, this other raptor, would never be able to comprehend their past from words alone, neither from him or Bane...

Sylicora managed to stop her eyes from rolling at the green raptor's first comment, muttering in response to the second, "You're right about that..." Ducking slightly as she passed under a dead branch, she continued, "I wasn't heading back... In fact, I didn't even come from my pack's cave. I was... invited to stay with another pack for a while... Don't know when I'll go home... Not sure exactly where it is from here, actually..." She vaguely shrugged, still looking undecided.

As soon as he had left the cave, he bolted for Inculta's pack's territory, not wanting to leave a margin for risk...he wanted to get to Sylicora as soon as possible...

Aircrest hopped over the branch and continued to walk beside Sylciora when he landed when he landed. "Looks like the start of a loner's life to me" He growled. "When past ties get too overbearing, it seems the best thing you can do is leave them all behind" He added, looking to female to see her reaction. He could get a laugh or two out of seeing a young stranger taking on the life of a loner, facing challenges he had long overcome. He thought about that for a while. Was this something Ripper felt when he and Aircrest first met? Probably. He got a smile out of that, knowing that he's made great strides since that time. Strides that allow him to look back on his life and accept his mistakes. Mistakes he wouldn't let others make, strangers or otherwise. It would be something his mentor would want.

Sylicora's yellow gaze flicked momentarily to Aircrest again and she hissed, her tone less bland, almost thoughtful, "That did cross my mind once... Well, maybe more than once. I've been wondering what it's like to be a loner for a while, well before this happened...I was just never able to really try it...I couldn't just abandon the pack though." She paused to walk in silence for a few seconds before adding, once again sounding unsure, as if she was trying to convince herself to believe her own words, " I mean... this is fixable... Maybe I can talk to him, if... if he'll listen... I can handle it..." Even as she told herself things could work out, she doubted whether she could stand Rhojis doing something like this again. It had to be the end of his secrets...

Aircrest hissed lowly, shaking his head. "Your thoughts rock back and fourth more so than a log in stormy seas." He snorted before giving the young raptor an even gaze. "Its all too easy to run away from your problems, but you could easilly fix them. Listen, understand, and if need be, forgive." He said. "Staying away from your pack wont do anything but prolong your issues. You said you couldnt just leave your packmates, but here you are now, far from your cave. Just a few minutes ago, you were fuming with anger. Just what do you think that will accomplish?" He asked, cocking his head. Hopefully he could get through to the female and make her see the only way she'd find closure would be to talk to her brother, as he had learned just the other night when Selena put his worries to rest.

Silver kept herself low, pressed against stone, crouched beside Astus. They'd spotted a pair of young paras, separated from thei herd and crying piteously for help. The small hunting party had split up, Mwuaji saying that he'd chase the helpless creatures towards Silver and Astus. The half-boulder was big enough to stop the young herbivores long enough for one or both of the other hunters to drop onto back of one of them, which in turn would hopefully startle the other into running back towards Mwuaji. The pack would feed well if they could secure both kills. They could hear Mwuaji barking and snarling in the distance, and the panic-calls of the paras. And underneath the noise predator and prey were making, the crashing of the undergrowth that showed all three animals were coming closer. Astus leaned forward, tensing the muscles in his legs, ready to pounce. Silver narrowed her eyes in anticipation of a quick, easy kill. Her killer claws flexed eagerly. She could see Mwuaji now, his lithe, well-muscled golden-brown body weaving through the foliage in the wake of his quarry.

The herbivores skidded in their haste as they tried to turn quickly to avoid the wall of stone looming before them. That was when Mwuaji latched onto the flank of one, teeth and claws flashing as he bit deeply into its back and began kicking at its side, inflicting deep wounds. Shockingly bright red blood welled up in the tracks of hs claws and spattered the undergrowth. Its hot, enticing scent rose to meet Silver as she and Astus plunged down the rock face to launch their own attack. Frozen by the sight of blood, the second para had little time to react as a pale gray blur slammed into its left side. Silver quickly made a lunge for its throat, wanting to end his struggle quickly, before it attracted bigger carnivores. The herbivore's cries were abruptly cut off; now the loudest sound it could manage was a gasping wheeze, a desperate bid for air. Silver clamped down harder. The para staggered and began to fall to the right; Astus sprang backwards to let it crash to the ground before resuming his attack.

"I, well..." The olive raptor stared fixedly at the ground, feeling slightly foolish, only just seeing a protruding root in time to step over it. "I don't know..." Her whole body seemed to sag slightly and she felt a flash of inward frustration at herself. Why was it that the more she talked about it, the more clouded the subject seemed to become? "I was too angry to think about what I was doing..." she muttered, still not looking up. "Just couldn't face him right then. I mean, it's not every day I'm informed that my father was c-crushed to death..." She suddenly fell silent, having said more than she originally meant to, blinking back suppressed sadness as she stared determinedly into the undergrowth...

it wasn't long before Fatalis was tearing across the pack's borders, the blistering pace of the Raptor enough to make onlookers unfocused on him double take in doubt over whether they had actually seen anything running by...

soon, Fatalis had reached his target, slowing to a slow trot as he entered the cave, glancing around...

"Welcome back," Viridis greeted the male, looking up from where she was watching over Banescale. Inculta gave him a brief nod. "Silver, Astus and Mwuaji are out hunting," the mottled green female went on. "I expect they'll be back before long." She stretched her yaws in a quick yawn, then turned to watch her mother playing with the hatchlings for a moment. Years ago, she'd played with Viridis in much the same way. The memory brought a faint smile to her lips.

"Aw, hell" The green raptor thought. Aircrest let out a low uncomfortable rumble in his throat, looking to the ground as well, saying nothing. He could have said "Im sorry for your loss", but what worth were in those words? They didnt make anything better, especially since he was all but a stranger to the female. They only entailed pitty, and he didnt pitty the olive raptor. Pitty was an insult. Instead, he simply growled "You were going to find out eventually, weeks...months...years...who knows. At least your brother was brave enough to tell you the truth, even if it was delayed. Its sure as hell better than any other way to learn about your father. Your brother isnt some stranger who couldnt fathom the pain your going through"
He paid no mind to the irony of his last sentence

"Thank you" growled Fatalis, nodding to the female. "Where've the others gone?"...

"Astus took the hunters to the border," Viridis growled. "They were going to start there and move back towards the half-boulder, see if they found anything worth hunting." "And Sylicora is still out on her walk," Siri put in unexpectedly. Her heather-colored eyes were shadowed with a trace of concern. "I was going to go and look for her when the hunters get back; I know she needs some time alone."

One para was down and the other was half-dead. Mwuaji leaped away as it fell and quickly slit its throat to ensure it wouldn't be getting back up. Silver eyed their work, panting slightly. "This will feed the pack and then some," Mwuaji growled, pleased. Astus nodded. "We have to get it back to the cave first though," he growled. Mwuaji took the throat of the para he'd brought down in his jaws and began to drag it in the direction of the cave. Silver moved to help Astus with the second kill.

Chuckling at the sight of the hatchlings, he growled "looks like you have your hands full as it is. I'll go find her. If anything, i might be able to smooth things over about what happened"...
