Both Adeline and James were joking around and having an interesting conversation while the men worked on getting everything prepared for the party. As of now, Adeline was talking to James, continuing their conversation they had at the tavern. "Borrow things and forget to give them back...right. Like when I just happened to 'borrow' that old sloop from the Bristish." She laughed. "Ah well. It's good to be a pirate. Having all of this freedom."

James said "ah..freedom. that's why we keep singing "a pirate's life for me". it's the freedom. that's what a ship is, really. it's not just a rudder and a mast and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs. but what a ship is, what the Black Pearl really is....is freedom. my father used to tell me that before he left to start looting.".

"I've never heard that before...it's so true though." She sighed. "When you're locked up in one place, there are always all of these rules to follow. Don't do this and don't do that. Always act like a lady, no that's not right." She shook her head. "It's sad, really...do you think other people can try to understand that being a pirate means freedom?"

James shook his head, then said "not the ones who haven't experienced it. you have to experience true freedom to understand it. the people who live in these colonies haven't experienced true freedom, so i doubt they would see us as anything other than a bunch of lawless thieving criminals, who kill innocent people for no good reason. they don't know the true meaning of the word "Pirate". only the Pirates really know what it means to be a pirate."

"A pirate." She sat down thoughtfully. "It's always been my dream to become one, you know. I left my family to become one. Now I am one, and it's great!" She frowned a little. "But, I still kind of miss them."

James frowned in a thoughtful way, then said "you see? that is the one downside to being a pirate. if your family finds out about it, your considered an outcast, unless they're pirates as well. Raphael had that problem. he made the mistake of telling them he was following the pirate life before he could even get some money to live off of, and he was kicked out of the house. nobody would feed him or trade with him. in the end, he stole a small barque and sailed to Quebradas Costillas, and got himself hired on my ship. i'm amazed he managed to sail all the way there. he seems to have no sailing experience. main thing is, if your family know, you can forget going back to them. they'd simply take you to the garrison and see you hung. i'm lucky enough to have my only definately living family member being a retired pirate on an island simply known as "The Lions' Den". he's one of the most powerful pirates and the leader of the pirates on that island. it was named that since every fleet, no matter how powerful they were, were never able to take it over, since the pirates there are geniouses with traps. traps that would make sense to a pirate, but not to others. the pirate town is hidden behing a massiv cliff face, completely protected against cannon fire."

"They don't know, but I'm sure they will deffinatly find out. They probably know already though, so there's no chance of going back to them again." She listened to James' story about his family member and about the hidden pirate town. "It sounds like another adventure."

James said "maybe, maybe not. let's just finish what we need to first. then, we can worry about islands...".

"Ok, right. Your father...I wonder what he might be doing now." She thoughtfully gazed at James.

James chuckled, then said "he's probably looking for rum. he can't get enough of the stuff. if the pearl's there, he may be looking for rum and sleeping inside the Pearl. can't wait to see him again though. it's been years. i've been told we look identicle, but i can't be sure until i see him..."

"You do. I saw him once, a long way back. He was trying to escape from the grasps of the Bristish." She chuckled. "That man had his ways of doing so. He was amazing."

"Yes, set up some time for father/son bonding. I'm sure that Jack could teach you a few handy tricks." She winked at him encouragingly.

James chuckled, then said "like learning how to get slapped by several women one after the other?"

She chuckled. "Maybe, James, maybe. But it all depends on how you treat them and to be careful." She let a micheivious grin morph on her face for a minute before it disapeered into a normal smile. "But, I know that you know how to treat them...right?"

James caught a smile on Adeline's face, and he said "of course....i know how to treat ladies very well :P .....i'm just not so random as my father was. one night flirting, the next gone...that seemed to be his routine....as a result, i end up with a couple of women on Tortuga who want me dead....."

James chuckled as he said "what charms? you mean the flirting you used to do with those girls back home? ". James watched Yuke get annoyed, and he said "woah woah, cool down, mate! i'm on'y jokin'!". luckily, Yuke was in a cheerful mood at what he'd done that day, and soon calmed down...

"Poor you. I'm sure that those woman will soon forget though..." Yuke came and complimented on what a good job they did. She chuckled at his comment about himself and also at what James said about his charms being flirting with the women. Those two were a great team. "Well, I guess we're all done then. Not much to do now."
